More biking content from Miranda PLEEEASE! Love her outlook and positivity no matter the situation she’s in. So fun to watch and definitely has inspired me to get out and explore more!
Love the realism and Miranda's bravery in the face of something she didn't want to do (ride on highway) and that she balanced being honest about how she felt but also being so positive
And all the road cyclists are all, "What? There was PLENTY of shoulder on that highway!" ;) :D Seriously, though, for a relatively newbie cyclist, that was no doubt a bit of an intimidating challenge. Well done!
Would definitely watch more cycling content! So glad you had such a good time, there are literally thousands and thousands of miles of bike trails all over the country, and most of them inhabit former railroad lines or towpaths along canals and rivers, really cool stuff!
I think the use of an e-bike is awesome! You can make it as hard or as easy as you want, and it opens up activities like bikepacking to people who would otherwise be physically unable to do it on their own.
Yeah small percentage of people who actually 'need' an ebike from a disability. Most people are just to lazy in getting out and riding before going fully loaded.
@@ivytyler I agree with Ivy's comment and here's my 2 cents worth. I'm functionally blind & ride a recumbent tadpole trike for safety. I do overnights & 4 to 5 day tours. I'm 74 years, not decrepit, but i ride the trike to get out & enjoy life. Don't ever, ever, judge a person for a trike or an electric assist (or wheelchair) until you know why. Go Miranda........
@@ianlindridge5378 So telling people who take a different and disagreeable view to you don't have a voice. This girl is quite clearly capable of riding a proper bicycle and not being lazy. Ebikes are motor bikes and traditional cycling has been infected by them, all these lazy feckers now claiming they are cyclists. No they are not, but they are cheats!
Love the reaction upon entering the tunnel. "What in the HELLLLLLLLL?" Who can stay in a blue funk when Miranda is around? NOBODY! Thank you for my 500mg dose of MITW Capsules!
Miranda is a fantastic presenter and this video is great, but I have to give a shout out to the camera people and drone operators, some of those shots were absolutely beautiful. 👍👍 Great work.
Among milions of youtubers, hundreds that I know about, you are among my favorites. Top 5, I mean. All i can say is thank you, and please continue what you are doing. It is awesome.
People should know they cut out the part where they had to put the bikes on a bus or van to get from the end of Discovery Bay (mud flats in the video) to 4 corners to continue the ride into Port Townsend. If she thought riding on that huge, wide shoulder was scary, she definitely didn't ride on the road for the section with no trail yet. Lots of volunteers are working on it and have been for many years. It has to go over very high, steep hills somehow.
The county is working on a route that will cut out HWY 20. I believe it will go through the backside of Anderson Lake State Park and reconnect with the Larry Scott Memorial Trail.
@@toddkj7jhh That is the long term plan but for the next few years at least, people should be aware of the dangers of riding on the road in that missing section of trail.
I've cycle toured for years, rode most of Vietnam, Hanoi to Ho Chi Min City (Saigon), Melbourne to Sydney. First half of the Great Ocean Road. Tasmania's East Coast (a couple of times) I've also commuted all my life and owned more bikes than cars. Used to be a 100km (60 miles) a day on pretty much any terrain, so long as it was a msde road. (Single track's "a bit" harder, hey.) It makes my heart sing when others discover cycle touring. eBike or not, the open road on a bike is freaking golden. And that moment when camp is setup and your nomming dinner, watching the sun going down. Life can't get any better. ❤❤❤
Miranda’s humor and enjoyment of the outdoors is infectious, a 90-mile bikepacking trip is a most excellent adventure, and the crews excellence in capturing the scenery and fun was wonderful. Thanks, and let’s have more bikepacking!
I’m so glad you tried bikepacking and enjoyed it, Miranda! It’s great you realized the awesomeness that is traveling by bike and I hope we see more bike trips and cycling content from you! By the way I think you can consider yourself a cyclist now 😉.
I truly enjoy watching the videos Miranda and crew put together. Her joy at trying new things and exploring always makes me smile. I defiantly look forward to seeing new videos when they come out and learning something new.
As someone who has never bikepacked and is not a cyclist, I really enjoyed this. The e-bike seems like an easier entry to bike packing than a full human powered bike.
Miranda, you are a total dork and it puts a smile on my face every time. Thank you! "First time in a loong time" - I feel that. I'd totally give you a big 'ol hug if I could. 🤗
I love your infectious enthusiasm. I too started out backpacking many years ago. I discovered bikepacking about 5 years ago and I am sooo hooked on it. I have done many different types of trips, pavement, rail trail and mountain bike wilderness stuff. The latter is very strenuous but so rewarding. I would really enjoy seeing more bike content from you. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
I would love to see more bikepacking material with Miranda! This was great, I would really love to see more fellow women get involved in bikepacking. I'm hoping with the help of this video and more we will have more women out on the trails. Thank you Miranda and thank you REI.
Would love to see you on a mountain bike trail. My girlfriend and I have been backpacking and riding mountain bikes. We really want to combine the two now for some bikepacking Action.
There is a 25 mile bypass on the Olympic Discovery Trail called the Adventure Route. Nice mix of single and dual track mountain biking between Lake Crescent and Port Angeles. There are also some much more intense downhill mountain biking routes in the Dryhll area (near PA too). Highly recommend!
More cycling content please. Miranda I love that you show your nervousness, it is reassuring that you can be scared to try something and still do it. Thanks!
Miranda it makes me smile so much seeing you soo happy!! Such a joy to watch. Definitely some of the most beautiful scenery yet. And those drone shots were AWESOME.

That's awesome! We're happy to introduce you to a new trail in a location that you know well and love! Do you think you'll check it out the next time you're there?
I started bikepacking on my Turbo Levo eMTB and absolutely love the adventures. The assist on the bike provides just enough help when needed, and then I shut it off and ride under human power. I’m in my mid-50s and can see myself doing extended bikepacking trips for years to come. Yes, please do more bikepacking content for us all to enjoy!

Love that Miranda advocated using similar equipment she already owns, rather than product promo-ing. REI is killing it with authentic promotional content that doesn't feel salesy. But, more detail on your food, please, Miranda! I want to know what she's eating at camp & in town. Cream o Wheat with strawberries, kiwi, & matcha? Tell us more!!! I feel like M might eat to live, rather than live to eat, but for the rest of us, bring on the details! Speaking of which, a show about a trip to the bulk bin store & prepping dry backpack food from those ingredients would be awesome! I bet $5-10 would cover most of her food for 2-3 days using bulk bin oats, nuts, fruits, veg, beans, etc...
Wow! What an amazing trail. Loved it. Please go bike packing more often. It’s been a while since I rode a bike. You reminded me how much fun I used to have.
This was great, I would love to see more bike packing content. I'm a long time backpacker (20+ years) and recently got into e-biking for commute and mountain biking. I'm inspired to try my first e-bikepack!
As an ebike enthusiast, I loved this video. There are so many misconceptions about ebikes out there. I would love to see more bikepacking content. A group of women in a FB group that I'm in bikepacked the Katy trail this past fall. We stayed in B&B's, not camping. I since then have purchased gear for camping and am looking forward to next year when I can hit some trails and camp.
Awesome video! Did my first backpacking trip this past week on Mt. Rainier and used a bunch of Miranda tips! 30 miles 3 days 2 nights. Got a bunch of snow! Now I gotta look into Bike packing for my next adventure! Great video!
Awesome trip.I’m so happy for you and that you are back. This was greatest trip - the alpaca, the biking, Miranda screaming bridgeeeee! And the burping. It not a true vlog without her screaming and her laugh (which is so infectious) . Bucket list trip for me
I love the cinematic drone shots and the music that goes with it. It's pretty refreshing to watch considering it's always a fun and quirky Miranda in the wild episode :D
I absolutely ... LOVE this video! I think it is the BEST one I have seen from you to date! I MUST give this a try (except I think I will have to use a hammock instead of a tent). Thank you for the video and especially for showing the world how much FUN a person can have being in nature. As a 63 year old an Ebike means I WILL ride vs a standard bike (BTW - I commuted 10 miles a day for 25 years before retiring and getting an Ebike). Would LOVE to see more bike packing videos!!

Thanks so much for watching! We're glad you're loving the content and we appreciate the feedback & suggestions. 😊❤️
Wow! What an amazing trail. Loved it. Please go bike packing more often. It’s been a while since I rode a bike. You reminded me how much fun I used to have.
Love the e-bike camping trip video I definitely would like to see a e-bike mountain bike Camp trip maybe some dirt and gravel roads
Thanks for the suggestion John!
This was great, I would love to see more bike packing content. I'm a long time backpacker (20+ years) and recently got into e-biking for commute and mountain biking. I'm inspired to try my first e-bikepack!
Great commentary, enthusiasm and great filming too. I enjoyed traveling along
definitely do more videos of bike backpacking, this was awesome. love following you.
We appreciate the suggestion, Gary! Thanks for watching 😄
Wow, congrats Jim! We hope you enjoyed your backpacking trip. Thanks for watching 👍
Awesome trip.I’m so happy for you and that you are back. This was greatest trip - the alpaca, the biking, Miranda screaming bridgeeeee! And the burping. It not a true vlog without her screaming and her laugh (which is so infectious) . Bucket list trip for me
Glad you enjoyed it Arlene! You will love it there.
Great video Miranda...Yes on Mountain bike trip!
*So far so good my **Latest.Bike** , 35 miles so far, been great. Changed seats, makes the ride a little better. Lot of power, happy with purchase.*
Definitely more biking content. This is encouraging me to do the same on my ebike.
We hear you! Thanks for stopping by. 👍
Thanks, Tommie! 😃
I love the new Joy you have found. 😭❤😄😄💃👏 makes my heart so happy for you. 😄
