- My first encounter with the Ursa Mini Pro G2 and my oh my what a nice "little" (not so little actually) camera. In term of image quality it is true what many are saying it is on another level compared to most mirrorless or even entry level Blackmagic Pocket cameras.
There are way too many good and some bad points to discuss so I will keep those for the time I will do a full in-depth "Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro G2" review.

Beautiful footage. I recently picked up a second hand G2 with EVF and shoulder mount kit and BM record side handle for £2500 all in. Love the feeling of using it, even in an uncontrolled event environment I’m shooting right now, it looks great. Compared to my pocket 6K something about the blacks are a lot deeper.
How long was it used?
@@CINENIMUS not sure, you can’t check hours. But it was a rental house unit. Very well kept condition, no screen scratches and sensor looks impeccable. Just a paint chip on the top rail but you don’t see it when the top handle is attached.

@@CINENIMUS true, I have heard that some go kaput but also some are workhorses that last. Hopefully it’s the latter, but even so at this price with all the accessories, it’s paid itself off already in one event gig, and since it’s still being sold new hopefully I can get any problems that arises fixed for a decent price at a repair shop.
@@alanlavery I don't do gigs only corporate work and commercial stuff for me I could probably shoot with a fuji xt-2 and get good results its more like a hobby thing for me the more expensive cameras

If you asking if this is processed and not just raw upload then yes. What exactly I do the images to look so nice is an accumulation of 20 years of experience and research that I will never reveal - just like any good artists - when you get good you dont make a fucking tutorial unless what you learned is from youtube 5 mins ago

Could you help me, I have the belief that the quality of the Footage that is made with this camera is of such quality because of the QUALITY of color management, and not because of the camera itself... Then you could make a sinsero vs with a BMCC64k type camera or the sony fx3 trying to get the best out of each one

Me too - lowlight might be a challenge for it even compared to the Full Frame
@@CINENIMUS I totally agree it'll struggle in low light but honestly for most uses cases for this camera, it'll be used in a controller environment so I believe it'll perform really well.
I'm looking at upgrading to it from my Pocket 4K but not sure if it's the right move considering I presently own the Pocket 4K and Lumix S5IIX.
@@OwoyemiMichaelprobably not. You will know when the time is right my friend and even then your knees get shaky its normal its a big step a lot to take into account

@@CINENIMUS I'm probably right that you saw a 40% discount at CVP and bought it. The point is what you claim we all knew a long time ago. Its obvious even for a none user the spec claims 15 stops, its a next level up camera from the Pocket range.
