- Car & Classic's Chris Pollitt and Jonny Smith are back down at the farm, this time to dig out a long derelict Mk2 Ford Transit. Can they dig it out? And will it run after years of sinking into the brambles? And is there a VW Camper hidden in the bushes? Watch and find out.

This could honestly be the next best series of these two trying to get abandoned cars going 😁 keep them going
Wholeheartedly agree!
Yea I’d love a series of old cars!
Like roadkill? UK's answer to finnegan and freiburger.
@@LordClunk and junkyard digs
Vice grip garage is a good channel.
Best line from Jonny: "Where does one even start in such a thick bush?!"
😆
Nice teeth pickers later
Definitely would watch more like this! You two bounce off each other so well! Definitely great viewing :D
Yer totally agree, let’s hope mores to come, proper good show with the two of them
That Transit looks in better condition, than a 2005 Transit pickup I welded up around three years ago.
I was screaming “check your grounds” while that starter was smoking.
Yeah, lol
Lol as was I poor bloody thing
It’s a 2.5 di, they always start. The most reliable engine they ever put in a transit. Slow and loud but reliable.
its a mk2. unless its had a transplant they never fitted the 2.5Di to the mk2, as far as im aware! they were 2.4 York Diesels, from memory
Pete that was the mk1 they did DI in mk2s
At Fitzwaryn School in Wantage, Oxfordshire, we had an X-reg (2001) 15-seat Ford Transit minibus (I left school on Friday 17th July 2009 when I was 16). Had it from brand-new. It never once broke down (or at least we never had to get out the bus because it broke down). It was still going by December nearly a year ago I was told - it gets serviced regularly. I bet it lasts for at least 5 more years!
just like the 4.9l straight 6 here in the states. most reliable gas engine Ford ever made.
Its a 2.0 petrol. On dvla check.
Well done gents 🤘
Idk why, especially given this is exactly your genre of video, but I did not expect to see you here lol
@@spaghetti1able1 algorithms caught this one, just watch, it'll take off this week 👌
@@JunkyardDigs I always get such a kick out of the big RUclips names watching other RUclipsrs and giving kudos to help them along. I know that I always love watching you and Mook working on abandoned and forgotten cars and trucks. I am subscribed to you and your lady.
Big youtubers like you supporting others is what we need, thanks for being a good guy kev. Also we are all in love with your vids as well and I love mooks ol green ford
Hi Kevin
I myself have a Transit MK2 passenger van from 1982, 2L OHC Pinto. Nice to see this discovery, Jonny will probably restore it to transport his own classic cars! All discoveries on this farm are worth an episode!
The soil on that farm is very rich in iron content.
Fantastic! Hire these two for Top Gear and I’ll start watching it again!
Did everyone else exclaim "YES!!!" when it ran. Love these videos. Now, on to that camper van.....
Brilliant vid gents, love to see this kind of thing happening, not enough of it is being done though. Hope to see more Pervert,Pollitt collaborations in the future, perhaps with a VW Type 2 !?!?
Thoroughly enjoyed everything about this video. The commentary, camera work and vehicles. Thanks
This is much better than regular TV.
One of my favourite RUclips videos of 2020. Genuinely knowledgable blokes having a laugh. Particularly loved Jonny’s critique of Fireman Sam. Hysterical! You deserve a ton more of subscribers on this basis of this video alone 👍
This is better than time team only less arguments.
When you're in love with a proper old transit
And please buy the kombi
“Go the distance” for the bramble camper.
This don't deserve a thumbs down. Its just bloody entertaining!!
So cool. Would love to see it recommissioned.
Great to see these being dug out.
Keep em coming 😊
(I do hope someone does them, but even if not, the journey of uncovering them is an enjoyable watch)
Inspirational video of the day 😂👍 Incredible that you got it started, they defo made them to last back then. I hope part 2 involves that VeeDub...👀😀
I second this comment
👍👍👍😜🏴🦄🎣😁🤞✌️
I would love to see more videos from here especially if you can find the astra gte you mentioned in the jaguar video
We found the GTE but the owner is keeping that one.
@@TheLateBrakeShow is there a video on it would love to see it
I absolutely loved this video lads. Was entertaining, funny, and thoroughly relaxing just watching you do exactly what a lot of us want to do: spend a day digging an old motor out and getting it to fire into life. Hugely rewarding. 👍
Really enjoyed this! Didn't even realise C&C had a RUclips channel until Jonny promoted this video on Instagram. Now subscribed. Looking forward to watching your existing videos and hopefully seeing more videos like this in the not-too-distant future.
Never in all of human history has a can of Easy Start been waved about so hopefully, so early in the process of resuscitating a vehicle!
Also "this cab's in really good nick" - yeah, they all are until the bottom 18"!
Aaaand this is exactly why TV is dying! A few blokes with good camaraderie, a hedge trimmer and some very basic mechanical knowledge! It's literally better than anything that's been on TV for the last 10 years! Real people making entertainment that real people actually enjoy.
Top class
Brilliant! Laughed my arse off at the banter between you two!! More please!👍😂
Absolutely brilliant video guys! Loved every single second of it! Let us know if you’re selling anything and keep the videos coming. Can’t wait to watch the next one! Thanks for making it 👍
This is excellent! "There's no escaping the fact that Norman's a complete ****" had me in stitches!
Best one yet! Well done Chris and Jonny!
Fantastic! Looking forward to more from the Transit extraction and the field of dreams! Keep the videos coming gents.
Brilliant! I can’t believe I haven’t found this sooner. What a channel.
First time I’ve seen this channel, glad I came across it. It was a great watch, hoping to see more. Well done guys.👍🏼
Loved this! Would love to see more of these...you two are comedy gold and entertaining!
Loved this. What a place this is. Probably the last of its kind. Old abandoned scrapyard. A treasure trove. More of these please.
That was hilarious, at least it started, (just!) That Mark 3 looked saveable, could make a good campervan conversion!
It's amazing how nature takes back control when left to it's own devices!
Love the video! Need some oil in those cylinders and then starting fluid, it works a treat. Love the dirty rescues, bringing the old girls back to life.
You two are excellent together! This sort of thing is right up my street. Farms and abandoned vehicles 😁🤣
I would love to see more videos like this. give me more more more! Absolutely fantastic. Keep up the good work.
Oh the smell of easy start on a freezing cold morning.
I have never laughed so much on a 'will it run' type video. You two are so good together. Do I hear wedding bells? ;-)
I really hope you and Johnny can make a series out of all the cars on site, unearthing them and enjoying them in their setting, you both get the whole amazingness like we all do as car lovers! This and the Jag and GS video have been brilliant to watch!
Chris seems like another top bloke like Jonny so well worth a sub!
This was awesome! Keen to see what other little treasures you can find!
Great video guys, I knew it would start because it's an old Transit Diesel, the best van ever made. It's very satisfying getting something started that's not moved or started for years. 👍
A long time back I was told that some students I knew had part-time jobs trying to put some miles on the development versions of the Transit engines. They were put into Thames vans with the idea of doing a certain distance each shift. However, many miles were driven at night and the mileage was allegedly clocked up on motorways in rather less than the full shift time, leaving the driver time to catch up on sleep but still get their miles done. Apparently, those Thames van were noticeably faster than normal.
from the US here.......totally the Monty Python of car rescue ......awesome stuff guys!
More of this sort of junk please . Johnys farmer impression made me spill some fluids , Comedy could be his hidden talent .
Love how he’s a Motorhead and he said 20 “valve” battery by complete accident instead of volt
Good work guys! Great rapport.
Got hooked the moment hear and see the first couple minutes. Love the approaches in making the content 👍
These videos are class! Keep em" up. Onto something
Really enjoyed this, thank you. 👍
Would love to see that Baywindow uncovered.
Great stuff chaps keep these start up vids coming, awesome
Call Mustie1, that VW will run by tomorrow.
I was thinking the same thing, just watched his latest video
Would love to see more of this, love finding old motors like this in Norfolk. Come to Norfolk!! We’ll go dig some out 😂
Very watchable content, funny too. Get the fork lift with the big wheel working, then you can move stuff around the site a bit easier. Love it Jonny.
That is an easy to watch well made video. Great stuff guys. I've subscribed. All the best.
Utterly brilliant. Warm, funny and well filmed
I really really enjoyed this video, you guys are on to something with this kind of storyline. Keep it up hopefully.
This has now got me intrigued, I now can't wait for the next episode.

Yes. Did a simular job on a Opel Kadett GTE from 1983, that had been sitting on a driveway for 10 years. Just love it when they wake up from their sleep...
I've absolutely loved this great content the two of you are great.
Loved this video, would be great to see more
keep em' coming guys, i'm loving this
It's a DI with a mechanical pump - it was always going to start. Probably wants a timing belt though.
Cracking vid guys, loved it, please keep them coming !!!
Great video - got to get back there and dig out the others, surely!?!?!?
More of this makes me happy. keep it coming guys.
Your efforts remind me of a guy who had a renault 16 sitting in a garage, it was very clean but had stopped and was towed home, I worked all day but could not coax anything out of it what a pity the joy of trying to get something going
What a brilliant video very funny with interesting content,
Just perfect please carry on with more 👍😊
I really enjoyed this, please do some more
