Still the undisputed champion at bringing old cars back to life... However the transmission is closer to tractor than automotive. The lever is "in gear" when it is all the way down, pulled up/back engages a mechanical park brake on the rear axle, "neutral" starts somewhere in the middle. The pedals are even more confusing at first because there's three of them. The left pedal is the forward "gears", pressed is low, released is high, and neutral is somewhere in the middle. Middle pedal is pressed by itself for reverse and otherwise left alone. The right pedal is pressed for the brake. It doesn't work the way you'd think either, instead it tightened a cloth strap around the output of the single planetary gear "transmission" to stop the car. Ford didn't start using a standard transmission until 1928 on the Model A. Hopefully this helps not only Mr. Jennings but also anyone who may get to drive one of these old girls.

In the bustling household of the Smith family, chaos reigned supreme as they scrambled to get ready for Grandma Mildred's funeral. With the clock ticking mercilessly, Mr. and Mrs. Smith herded their three children - Timmy, Jenny, and Bobby - towards the front door, their faces etched with a mixture of grief and urgency.
But just as they were about to make their escape, young Bobby came bounding down the stairs with an exuberant grin plastered across his face.
"Mom, Dad! You won't believe it! Jennings motor sports just dropped a new video! Let's ditch the funeral and watch him fix old cars!" Bobby exclaimed, his eyes shining with excitement."
His siblings, always quick to join in on any mischief, echoed his enthusiasm, their voices rising in a cacophony of excitement.
Mrs. Smith's brow furrowed in consternation, her maternal instincts warring with her sense of responsibility. "Bobby, we can't skip Grandma's funeral just to watch a silly RUclips video."
Mr. Smith, caught in the crossfire between duty and desire, wavered momentarily, a mischievous twinkle dancing in his eyes. "Well, you know, dear, a little detour never hurt anyone. And it's not like Grandma's going anywhere, right?"
But Mrs. Smith was having none of it, her resolve unwavering in the face of her husband's thinly veiled attempt at rebellion. With a sigh, Mr. Smith reluctantly acquiesced, conceding defeat in the battle of wills.
Disappointment hung heavy in the air as the Smith family piled into their car, their dreams of RUclips stardom dashed by the weight of familial obligation.
As they trudged towards the funeral, their spirits dampened by the missed opportunity for automotive enlightenment, a sense of resentment simmered beneath the surface. The kids pouted and whined, their protests falling on deaf ears as their parents remained steadfast in their decision.
But fate, it seemed, had a twisted sense of humor. For as they approached the intersection, a speeding car careened towards them, its driver oblivious to the red light glaring ominously in the distance.
In the blink of an eye, the Smith family found themselves caught in a maelstrom of twisted metal and shattered glass, their world turned upside down by the cruel hand of fate.
So the moral of the story, dear readers, is a cautionary tale indeed: when a Jennings motor sport video beckons, heed its call before it's too late. After all, you never know when fate might come knocking at your door, ready to teach you a lesson in the cruelest of ways.

You are right about one thing an that is your prep work is the most important key to making any paint job look amazing. I've, worked on cars for many weeks just sanding an cleaning over an over. I love this man's enthusiasm..
It's cool that he gets these old cars running again, however, the true testament is the quality of these old cars. Leave any car today sit that long... It ain't gonna run, no way .. great video, you can purchase wood kits for these old model T's.. this one is a good one to restore. Keep em coming.🙂

Definitely a common theme on how you get each of the flat head engines running again, uou gotta figure out how to catch the transmission on fire before it will work. :) Great videos!

My dad restored a 21' pickup in the early 70s I miss the sound of those coils! I used to get the chore of the crank start when the battery wasn't working, went to some fun events with it.

As much as I would love to see you take this T for a McDonald's burger, I think this one is going to need a couple things before it can be driven. Nice old girl. Amazing how these engines can still run after so long with being abandoned

"Today we got the very first car made, it's been sitting in the bottom of a lake for 80 years and we'll get the ol' girl running and driving..." 😂😂
Where everyone else would have given up, you manage to make anything run. I've got mad respect. It's always a good time to see you make anything run.

Good stuff. For you ST:Voyager fans, I don't recall Janeway and company having this much trouble getting a Model A started after drifting in the Delta Quadrant for 300 years! (See the Episode: The 37s.) Seriously, this is amazing what you were able to do.

My dad has the exact same 23. His is in excellent condition other than a couple small rips in top. Last year was amazing bc the car was 100 and mom and dad's 50th anniversary! We made a sign that said... car is 100... still running... married 50 and still trying. Lol. Anyways good luck bud:) I've learned alot about these old girls
