ABOUT JAY LENO'S GARAGE ON CNBC
Hosted by legendary comedian and “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno, the series explores our obsession with all things automotive. From classic cars to supercars and everything in-between, Jay is hitting the road to discover the most exciting, weird and wonderful vehicles ever made and meet the passionate people behind their wheels. Each one-hour themed episode features a mix of stunts, challenges, reviews, and celebrity interviews that showcases the colorful history of the automobile. Whether he’s exploring the story of an iconic brand, road-testing the newest super car, or investigating the latest automotive innovations, there is no wheel Jay won’t get behind to tell the story of our love affair with the car.
About Jay Leno: Acclaimed TV late night show host, admired stand-up comedian, best-selling children’s book author, much-in-demand corporate speaker, lovable TV and movie voice-over artist, pioneering car builder and mechanic, and philanthropist…it’s no wonder that Jay Leno is widely characterized as “the hardest working man in show business.”

A woman back in the '20s "incubated" her baby in a Model T in 1927. That baby was a preemie and in those days they weren't likely to live but her parents were moving so put her in the front seat in a box so the heat and light through the glass is what allowed her baby to live and start to thrive. That baby was my mother who went on to have me and several other children and many grandchildren. She lived till over 80. That Model T saved her.

Best episode yet of the pandemic edition, in my opinion. We need more episodes like this one and the new yankee workshop style episodes. Plus major props to this kid who obviously loves really old cars, and wanted to get something unusual as a first car. And he didn't butcher it, no camber, no chrome 22" rim's, underglow, or a LS swap. Nope left the old girl the way she was ment to be original with minor touches in homage to the ratrods of the 40s & 50s.

I particularly like the idea of having younger adults showing off their projects for not ridiculous amounts of money. Get a few of these from time to time from jay. More please! Seeing jay reference that vanadium steel. Reason for it lasting so long is they have used that to make tools for years as well. My first actual experience working on a vehicle was when I was 12 in 1994 and that was my dad's 1942 WW2 Dodge ambulance that he traded an old Sears lawn tractor for. We spent about 4 years refreshing that huge inline 6 and pretty much everything else. Painted a big Mash Red cross on the sides and used it to haul our Harley's to local bike rallies and camped in. It was great.
