I appreciate this video but I guess after 8 years and over 100,000 pages printed the printer has had it. It had a good life - the longest lasting printer I ever owned.
Very well done explaining how to clean the Epson printer. Thank you!
Very Helpful, thank you!
Awesome! Worked like a charm. Thanks!
Thank you. You are wonderful. This helped me fix my printer.
Worked for me. I just used iso. alcohol with a syringe and tubing. It took about 4 head cleanings to make the printer run. WF-3620.
Thanks, this makes sense. my WF-3620 was used enough especially color prints. I can't wait to try.
Great Video. Tons of Help. THX

Thank you! I’m going to try this!
Hope it works! Thanks for watching!
Thanks so Much!
My EPSON WF-3620 was streaking the colors as it printed, so I cleaned the print head just as you did. I finished putting it back together, but now when I turn it on, it immediately pulls up the Error 0x97 and I can't do anything on the printer. I've taken it back apart and cleaned it a few more times, but it still does the same thing. Any ideas on what I can do?

I need to win the cleaner.
Sehr Gute
Brand name for the cleaner, please? Thanks.
Hallo, wat voor vloeistof kan ik gebruiken?
I add my thanks to you.
Did just as you explained and luck. Still giving me that error message 😭
HELLO , THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO , I TRIED THIS CLEANING PROCESS AND I ALSO DID THE HEAD CLEANING MULTIPLE TIMES BUT STILL GETING THE SAME ERROR X097 :(
I succeed to solve the 0x97 error, on my WF-5620, by doing the cleanning head function sevral time. Like it is said in the user guide.
Cuantas veces realizó la limpieza d cabezales?
Excellent!
I was happily printing and then got a low ink warning, then immediately received the error. Tried the unplug/replug, and the printer head step. No luck. Off to Walmart to see if I can get a head cleaning kit.
Hey Tim, that's unfortunate, but such is life with inkjet printers :) I moved on to a B/W laser one, and haven't looked back.
This did not work. I went from only being able to print in color to the 0X97 error and not printing with any color.
What is the cleaning fluid made of? What chemicals?
Not sure to be honest. I'm assuming there's some sort of a paint thinner in there. I've heard people using a mixture that's similar to window cleaners with ammonia. I usually just buy pre-made sets, haven't made my own yet.
@@AlexInFlatland Thanks for the video, but nothing works. I've tried it all, including tearing apart the print head, and it still gives the same errors even though everything is a clean as can be.
@@bluenetmarketing welcome to epson printers :( Mine actually broke as well a few months after making this video. They're absolutely designed to make you buy a new printer as often as possible.
@@AlexInFlatland No kidding. I bought a et-4760 as a replacement. So far, so good. What printer do you recommend with the same functionality as the et-4760?
I'm honestly DONE with inkjet printers. I've had about 10 break down over the years. I realized I don't really do color prints very often, so I just opted for a Brother B&W Laser printer.
you cannot because I am going to win it! Where's that link Alex?
No link in Video Description, sadz.
I cannot get the printer head carriage to move. It will not move without using great force, at which point it will likely break. How does your printer head carriage move so easily?
Sorry I got to your comment this late :( You need to interrupt the power to your printer while the print head is somewhere in the middle. If it goes in the resting position it locks up and won't move. I usually just power on the printer, and while it's doing the start up checks and the print head is somewhere around the middle, I just unplug the power. That way the print head remains unlocked and you can move it around freely.
There is a setting to change ink cartridges that moves the carriage to the center. It's available from the printer front panel.
This video gave me all the info I needed to know to troubleshoot my printer error problem. At least tackle the situation like I know what I am doing.
Success the x097 error is gone and I was able to print a check nozzle test pattern. Thanks so much
This did not work. Still giving me the error code. Interestingly enough, it will print a COPY of something, but won't print a document.
It did work for me, although judging by the comments, there are mixed opinions. Some people reported that they got it working after running the cleaning cycle several times.
