Why use m2 chip rather than m4 chip benchmark comparison? When its price is more like a macbook pro m4 pro already... For thw price better buy a macbook pro m4 pro. But if you really whant this buy it after 2 -3 years later cuz thinkpad price depreciate to bargain price
i always loved the x1 carbon but i'm usually able to afford them 2-3 years later :) , i hope they release a FHD variant for extra long battery life and also 5G (they mention this will be available early next year, no mention about the screen )
Honestly, depending on budget, might not have to wait that long as the competition to this laptop are already selling at ~$1400 (e.g. the Slim 7i, Zenbook S 14, XPS 13 Plus). I'll likely pick one up myself once it drops down to that level, within 6-months if historical trends hold.
My dream laptop and I was not ready to update my ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 just yet but that wifi7 is a huge deal for me. I am getting over 1000Mb download wirelessly now but excited to see what wifi7 is going to do. I have OLED now so not expecting to see much of a difference in color. It is nice to finally see a better camera fitted to the unit. I also like the F8 key. We will also have a newer Macbook Pro and an X1 carbon and having one of each just makes life better for my wife and I am we love using both of them.
An excellent video review. But honestly, I would like to have the ability to have large RAM, with as someone noted previously, to have a WWAN 5G potential... That would awesome. Same with more options on Lenovo's website... Again, an excellent video!
If you were to ask 100 people if this offers value for money, only a few wealthy individuals might agree. In reality, it is definitely not worth that price. This ultrabook is likely the most expensive option available and is aimed at businesses that purchase in bulk and receive significant discounts. For everyday consumers, it feels like a rip-off. That said, it is obviously a nice laptop, and if you are rich, then why not? For the average user with a sensible budget, there are a multitude of choices, and many will save you at least $1000. At that price, I could get a base 16-inch MB Pro M4 Pro with 24GB/512GB (both £2500 in the UK), which, although a pro machine, not an ultrabook, would have significantly better CPU and GPU performance.
Yeah, still utterly confounding why anyone would buy any windows laptop (1) new instead refurbished -- or steeply discounted 1-year post release, and (2) for over $1600 ever unless it is to get an RTX4060 or better dedicated GPU.
Steep price for an Intel machine with a ridiculous processor name. If it was AMD with Radeon graphics for light gaming, yes I would definitely be more interested in Lenovo Carbon.
They are pushing this laptop hard on the channels. I think it's trying to save the lunar lake chipset release which didn't go well. The more I see it pushed the more skeptical I become
MSI creator studio. $2400 and can find for 2k on sale. Better specs and a MSI too. Also its upgradable. Nah man I'll buy it in a couple of years when it's $300 on Ebay
Let me know, i would take it for 300 too
Yeah, we have to wait like 3 or 4 years so that the price reduce to $300
@@NgânEsa Idk there's so much new tech coming out, these business laptops are always accessible tbh just not brand new
3:09 I believe that's a wireless WAN slot for optional 5G connectivity on other configurations.
Excellent laptop. However, for 2.5k, is it better value than a similar priced macbook pro?
No
only if you really want a light laptop. there are no macbooks under a kg
The 2 in 1’s you recommended, arent they older models? I think they’re releasing a 2 in 1 thinkpad in February? Pen compatible I assume.

I just got a great spec X1 10th Gen at $210

2500 is insane man

I'll wait until next black fridt when it's $1,200!
i just buy x1 nano gen 2, i don't know if compare with x1 nano gen 2, is this better ?
Is it powerful than MacBook pro M4max,, in canada is almost $4000 including tax
This one less powerfull than basic M4 line.
Isn't a macbook air a way cheaper and a better option? There's no way this has a better build quality is visibly por thicker than a MBA.
I wouldn't say the MBA has better build quality. ThinkPads tend to be neck and neck with MBAs.
With Intel?!?! HAHAHA! No way I would buy that sh1t!
I just bought the gen 11 for 2k.

Waiting for the usual 40% off
IMO, it simply means the X1 no longer sucks. It doesn't mean it is a great deal for $2500

Waiting for the cost to come down and the haptic trackpad. Then I'll buy.
Some variants have the haptic
Only if my employer pays the bill will I get this laptop. Otherwise, hard pass until the price drops.
At $1500 or less, it is great for my needs.
I will gladly buy it with your money. Now piss off! 😆

Over m4 pro? No, thanks.
No I should not.
My needs are 64GB of RAM. Intel failed.
It's not on this chipset. Pick a non lunar lake chipset. Arrow lake is coming out or is out
MSI - $2499
Creator 16 AI Studio A1VHG-072US 16" UHD+.
64 and upgradable
No numpad😤
Do you really want to deal with a numpad on a 14" laptop?
@stephenkbolton oh sorry, i didn't think about that
Webcam is still crap
no def not worth it, for this price im getting 64gb ram at least and 16 inches minimum.
This chipset has the ram included on the chip and is limited to 32. You'll have to look at another chipet than lunar lake
