Oh Hahn, the virtuoso of the keys! Thy music is a symphony of ease. Each note a perfect drop of pure delight, That dances on the ear with wondrous might. From music pieces grand to waltzes light, Thy music takes us on a wondrous flight. With every chord, a tale is told, Of love and laughter, stories old. Oh Hahn, thy gift to us so rare, Is nectar to the ear, so sweet and fair.
Never heard of Hahn but glad to be hearing him now. I loves me some imaginative piano playin with soft tones and Alessandro Deljavan has the touch and phrasing sensibility to get the job done bellissississimo.🥂
The works of a composers lives from the gaze that is given to it. It is not limited to what it is, nor to the one who produced it, it is also made by the one who hears it. Music, painting are a space of questioning and meditation where the senses that we attribute to it can come and be done and be undone at any time. This moment is magic
Another hugely overlooked composer, who you bring out if the cupboards. Hahn I have heard before though and his music is just so soothing, beautiful, but still got some mysterious edge. I can not listen to all of this album tonight, but I for sure will listen to this one from beginning to end. Reynaldo Hahn may have been too much of a man of the world for his time: Venezuelan born French man, who on top got a Spanish given name and German surname and were of Jewish descendance, and his music also were odd, for a man living most of his career and youth too in Paris. He is not really an impressionist. Maybe he got more in common with the more emotional of the German composers of the late romantic period, as for instance Brahms? Let me know, what you think! God Bless!
It's hard to beat Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky, however, there's room for other styles too as we expand our pallet. Hahn sounds kind of like a French Grieg to me.

he was friend and lover of Marcel Proust
Check Hahn lieder, like "A Chloris" etc. Sublime
@@derfreischutz4380I would have guessed I was listening to Handel.
He wrote beautiful melodies...

Maravilhoso!!!
The beginning of IRH 31 no 1 reminds me of Kapustin

Personally I'm more of a late Russian Romantic kinda guy
It's hard to beat Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky, however, there's room for other styles too as we expand our pallet. Hahn sounds kind of like a French Grieg to me.
Sometimes I forget these recordings are played by actual humans instead of being some studio produced perfect sample.
No sé escucha la música
Hahn who??
Reynaldo Hahn
"Hahn" means "rooster"
