You know what's more scary than jumpscares? When the person that will kill you or attack you just follows you and just fucks with you. Not like slender man dullness, but more like the person that is following you is trying to mentally disassemble you by only messing with you. There are only few games that have made me feel that way. I can't really explain it in further detail because it's hard to explain how it happens.
An example being like Abes Odyssey's Paramites? A lone Paramite will only follow you, if you get too close to it it attacks, if another one joins then they hunt you.
As my breathing gently moves the cord for my headphones, it makes an odd creaking noise, but I forgot about that fact and was about to give Abandoned kudos for a pretty good, non-generic house creaking sound effect.
The first game activates a phobia I have, it has something to do with large objects. Does anyone know what this is cuz I've searched everywhere and I havent found it
Few things can make me laugh like Jimmy Carr. One of them is Vinny. Speaking of stolen Half-Life 2 assets, the jumpscare sound from the first game is from Episode 1 when Alyx gets spoop'd by Stalkers. There'd better end up being a fucking vineJape emote at the end of that contest. Why doesn't Vinny have more than one monitor? Not only is it almost a necessity from a workflow standpoint, but considering how many shitty games he plays with no window support, he'd benefit so much from it. At the very least, he could just have his phone next to his keyboard with a browser open on twitch.tv/vinesauce/chat.
