- Hi, this video shows you how to use a Xbox 360 controller to control your Xbox One. The process is the same for the Xbox One and the Xbox One S. It could be useful if your Xbox One controller is broken and you want to get gaming again or if you are having a friend over and you want to play a split screen game but you only have one controller.

I actually was able to get it to work with a ps3 controller using an emulator called spec server. It works just like in your video.

This proves that I can use any controller I can possible imagine using pc and even enabling it on Xbox as well. I have a nice array of controllers and possibilities. Wii U pro controller, Nintendo Switch pro controller, ds4 controller, my iPhone controller. Oh the possibilities!

Hey, if you’re doing this using a Magic NS on a computer, any controller will work on it. (But the device itself will identify any controller as a Xbox 360 Controller, only if it’s on the XInput.) I tested this with a Wii U Pro Controller.
It would be cool if u could use the streaming app on something like a raspberry pi so u can use it as like a little adapter

A bit late to the party but ok. Just an idea... I don't have any console to test but if you use a program called x360ce to emulate and map the not working/recognised ps controllers as Xbox360 ones, then maybe the Xbox app on windows will recognise and use them as in the video

hello, ive been using this trick for a while with a wired xbox 360 controller. I finally got a dongle, and am using that. I found a problem though... I couldnt use multiple controllers on the xbox one. only one xbox 360 controller and the xbox one controller. Do you know anyway around this? There is one thing, though, the only controllers that work are the ones that are player one. This is urgent as I need to get to my friends place with this dongle so that I can play on his xbox one with four controllers. I would deeply appreciate your advice."
It probably depends if other controllers can connect to ur laptop maybe that's how its gonna work
When you don't have a computer in your house or apartment
You would be able to connect a Xbox 360 Wireless Controller without a dongle to a regular Xbox one Since the Original Xbox one controllers use 2.4GHz and the Xbox 360 Wireless also use 2.4GHz.

@@Shadowwalk15276 there is the cheaper method of purchasing a Cronus max (that's what I got) but they are really expensive. That's the only controller adapter I've used and it works great. But I'm sure there are cheaper controller adapters on the market that will work just fine.

Its already installed onto your computer
In the start bar, type Xbox Console Companion and then hit enter. The go down to connect, connect to your console, the press stream. Make sure allow connection in settings is on.

Just wondering....Does the power/ability of your console or just your laptop take apart regarding the graphics (resolution, fps, etc)? If it's only your laptop, then you can stream your games from laptop without console, Almost any game on console available to pc as well....
