Z900 looks better, feels more like a sport bike, prettier, more power and torque. The Riding position on the z900 is a lot better than the mt-09. The mt-09 feels like I'm sitting on a dirt bike.

Great video- I did Yamaha demo days and got to rip on a XSR900, same motor set up as MT09. It doesn’t pull as hard or as quick as my Z900.

I I would say wait till all the 2025's are released and then make a Decision! I loved the 2024 Suzuki GSXS 1000, ITS a Steal at $11,600.00 . Those Z900s seem like they'd be the perfect daily ripper. Gobs of power, sounds fantastic, and personally I think the Z bikes look better than most of the MTs. If you handed me the keys to that Kawi and an MT09SP I think I'd have a hard time choosing. Always love the videos Ray!

Been on both MT-09 & Z900 imho Kawasaki has always made engineering decisions based on user experience and expectations in harsh wind conditions that 463lb weight is very essential for the everyday rider I've done 400 mile round trips with Continental Conti-motion tires and they're way better than what Dunlops arrive from factory the Dunlops honestly don't handle the torque from either bike but with a proper baffle delete and muffler upgrade and ECU retune you can expect a good 152hp unlocked from 948cc if I was mostly a city rider 90% I'd stick to a MT09 but if you like the occasional long road trip Z900 all the way both won't disappoint

Time for Kawasaki to update the electronics on this bike. I think it even still uses a cable throtte hence the no cruise control option. And they dont even throw a QS on this premium model. Hell Yamaha thows all that in on their base MT09,

Possible beginner bike for a big guy? 6ft 320lbs? Not gonna have the bike fly out from under me, but has power if I need it, but otherwise just kinda cruise the mountains kinda bike?
It's a pretty fast beginners bike, Do you have any motorcycle experience at All?
I bought one as my first bike in 2022. Almost 5000 miles and no complaints or crashes. Just respect the bike and the throttle. Mind the clutch and have fun.

Would definitely recomend for a beginner. I'd never ridden a bike in my life and did my drivers license test on a Z900 -17. I recentely upgraded to a 2023 and I absolutely love it! greetnigs from Sweden =)

I don't know why these manufacturers are failing so hard. If you're going to put an Ohlins shock on it, put Ohlins forks on it. Replacing a shock for an aftermarket unit is easy, replacing forks is hard. Both Kawasaki and Yamaha seem to be really half-assing their "special edition" bikes lately.

These "middleweight" bikes are built to a certain price point. Adding Ohlins front would easily add another 2-3 grand on to the asking price. By then you're getting into super naked territory.
They’re budget bikes. If you want it all go spend $28k for that new final edition Panigale V2 😂

This bike hasn’t changed since I had my 21’ Z900. Kawasaki fell asleep with this bike. The MT-09 weighs less, has an up/down quickshifter, six axis IMU, and cruise control.

Z900 SE faster and much better looking, better brakes and suspension. Who cares about a $300 quick shifter. Definitely not a deal breaker.

This is one of the best looking naked bikes in my opinion, but for little difference in price you give up a lot over the mt09. The juice is no longer worth the sqeeze on this one kawasaki, time for an update.

The Z900 is a nice looking bike but it is not a MT09. Disappointed in the standard features of the Z900 compared to all the other bikes in the 900cc class every thing is very simple.
