- No joke..this is the loudest exhaust I've ever heard! I installed a full Akrapovic GP exhaust system on the z900 and words can't explain how loud this system is AND it even shoots flames! What do you think of the new exhaust?

I can't wait for you to get one!!! Honestly, this bike is so hard to let go. Everyone always asks why I don't have a sportbike (never said I wasnt going to have one...LOL) but the Z900 platform is so comfortable with ton of power and speed 💪

I had to install the db killer on mine, it was embarrassingly awesome. It still sounds incredible. After a long trip riding by me, my buddy loved it so much, he is looking to sell his multistrada and get a naked 4.
Niceee! With the DB killer too, I believe its better performance with it in. Which is weird 😅
@@itsnorrinmy mt09 is the same - spits flames with the db killer in and out, is loud af with it out, but is better all around with it in.

I would HIGHLY recommend it 👍 I did not do a tune after I installed the exhaust
Hey man wanted to ask, I bought a secondhand 2017 Z900 with a fullsystem Yoshimura exhaust on it. Previous owner said the shop adjusted the air fuel ratio. However, at very slow speeds on gear 1/2, the bike is kinda jerking. Not sure if this happens on all Z900?

Thats so weird because usually if there is jerking in those gears, possibly the AFR is not tuned correctly. I would for sure get it tuned again. Even without a tune, i never felt that

there are MANY mixed reviews on getting a tune after a full exhaust upgrade and in my opinion, I WILL be getting one. I do not have a tune on it right now and I can tell the bike is confused especially WOT. So I definitely will be getting a tune 👍
Did you have to get the ECU flashed for it to run proper or did it give you any problems delegating the CAT?
No problems at all, the ECU can be run with the new exhaust but I am looking to flash the ECU just so that the exhaust and the engine run better together. But no CEL or any issues 👍
Hi I need your opinion, I just delete cat and breadbox on stock header previously are they currently full system? is there any different between stock header and after market in size? thank you.
Hi there shouldn't be any difference in size. Possibly after the connecting pipe it may open to a bigger pipe but I don't think it changes size. Just the material 👍
If deleted bread box do I have to tune??

Sounds so good. I’m torn between z900 or mt09 as an upgrade from my sv650s
Z900 HANDS DOWN! lol it has a more raw sound than the Mt09 and for some reason, I feel the Z900 can become a better sport/track inspired build than an mt09 due to the ergonomics. You're leaned a lot more forward than an Mt09.

I had this fitted from an Akra GP slip on, so buy the Akra GP slip on and then fabricate the piping from there 💪
Are you getting it tuned? You’d definitely pick up some performance gains if you did
DEFINITLEY getting it tuned! im tired of the weird throttle blips and hickups that are happening with the exhaust lol other than that, not too serious and the sound of the exhaust makes it up 😅

I am located in the US! If you search Akra GP exhaust on google, its any of them. But the headers are Akra Z900 headers. I had to customize the link
My advice is to take a Riding course,all your gear shifiting were out of sync with clutch, invest in these to improve your knowledge not in cheap loud noise cans.
Also your clutch is slipping at 3rd-4th gears which is mostly due to wrong adjustment which eats the plates and starts to slip and doesn't respond at high speed and i can make out from the sound of it, i have the same bike, had the same issues, been riding since 2002 so these things will be normal later once you get more experience .
Finally, always ride safe ALWAYS, leave the thrill aside these machines kill with the minimum mistake ..

I appreciate the advice! I did notice the weird clutch sounds and did find out it was slipping so I had that fixed before the track. And the thrill is kept at the track, dont worry I learned before my skin became a crayon lol
The track taught me so much! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Im able to push the bike to its limits on the track because of the coaches, the freedom of not getting hit by cars, and the challenge of racing with other riders. If you go to the track enough, the street is where you relax and take those chill rides 😂

No burning of the shoes at all! lol You tend to get used to where the peg is and the Z900 rearset location is actually higher and more sporty than a lot of hyper naked bikes so usually there arent any issues 👍

you COULD tune it but i didnt and the bike works fine, but its recommended. I just never got to it

@@itsnorrin Z900's are exciting bikes! Have a '22 Z900, would like the system you have, but with a tune it's pushing $2k. If didn't have a Z900 RS as well, I might be able to swing it. Akra's the best, but woo! expensive!

@@itsnorrin i tried the MK3 slip on only and turning back to the original Akrapovic slip on. Sound beautiful, and its not too much, i like the bike sounding good but not so loud.
