This episode was a bit hard to go through as I talk in length about my dog who the comic strip "Ken and Chip" is based on. I also cover the self bias that all artists have that comes in the way of their creation process and finally top it off with some relationship gossip (possibly the best question I have received so far on the show). This show was recorded on March 16th, so you can see pre-india- lock-down Kenny in all its glory.

When I am financially stable and emotionally ready, I want to adopt. I don’t think it’s fair to bring another life into this world where there’s so many kids who need a family. But obviously that’s my personal opinion.
I never thought I could love Kenny or Chip more but THIS! What a pretty boy he was, it's great how I can love Chip having never met him or anything like that! I love it. I looooovvvee it. 😭❤️

I was literally like "I gonna cry"when you said about Chip.I too had a daschund puppy.I miss him so much now .He is 'chitti'.I too was so sad didnt had my breakfast for a week.It was during my first year college,I can't able to do my exams too.I was so sad,still now can't forget him.He is my cutie pie.

My dog is adopted from the street too! His mother had given birth to 6 pups, 3 of them had died in accidents and I got the rest of them home. 2 of them are with my friend now and my dog's called Pluto. He's 3 and a half years old now.
Did finish watching Kumbalangi Nights and Super Deluxe this week. Thank you for the suggestions, both the movies were such brilliant works! As a North Indian, this has opened up for me a whole treasure of brilliantly written and directed, sensible South Indian cinema. Bollywood seems hopeless these days. Also, Fahadh Faasil is underrated. His acting skills are top notch.

I recently lost my dog exactly the same way u did n I can’t stop crying now .. even she was 7 years old n even she had a kidney failure 😭n just like chipper we bought her home when she was just 22 days old ....had to feed her like a baby 😭n I miss her soo much 😭😭😭 please never stop posting chip n Ken ....😭❤️ #simpleken

Paused halfway just to write this comment.. thanks fr this Kenny! It's amazing to see someone choose to not smoke up and get drunk so casually. It's literally like a minority of ppl who don't do that.. I get judged and tagged as a fattu for not indulging, but I stick with it. This long recording validates it for me even more!

I'm so, so sorry about what happened to Chip, what you dealt with. I know people say this but I genuinely understand you 100%. Rescued my baby girl in 2009. Vets said she was abused she wouldn't make it. Girl didn't bark for weeks. She fought, survived, won every heart over. Had to watch her be put down after her kidneys failed after 3 years of meeting her dietary and medical needs. It's been 1.5 yr since we lost her. I still cry. I still talk to her. No one will ever know me like she did. This grief is insurmountable to me. Also, I understand why others get upset even though Chip was your dog. We have an innate connection with animals, some of us, we tend to feel pain through empathy.

Would like to politely disagree with your opinion on people not having seen classics. All of us have such different backgrounds, upbringings, tastes that it's impossible to group everyone together. All of us see the world through our own lenses. For instance, I was more of a book reader than movie watcher and I would be very angry when people would say Harry Potter movie series is better without having read the books (coz the books are in much more detail). However, we have to understand that every individual perceives and processes information in different ways, and no matter how much we feel like, we can't expect another person to mutually share that passion we have for something.

Todays podcast was so personal to me. My dog died the same way yours did and i could feel you totally. Its been 3 months he died and theres not been a day without missing her. Me and my ex were never friends when we started dating.. but after we broke up i was very clear to not evilise the ex.. he didn't like the idea then, but as time passed and the trauma faded away, we are now really good friends because we really know each other so well like no one else, and we both are dating different people now but this friendship that developed after we thoroughly moved on from loving and then hating each other, its priceless...

I always wonder and keep asking my friends why they would go to a nursery and get a dog when they can very well take a street dog, raise it and give all the love it needs. Glad to find that you did raise a dog which needed all the caring. After this video, my liking for you and your "long recording of you talking" increased. Keep it coming ❤️
My dog of 8 years had to be put down after we found out that she had leukemia. The decision was hard to make cause Ive been living in the U.S. for the past 4 years and my family's back in Pakistan. I had literally seen her 4 months before she was diagnosed and the worst part was my sister calling me and asking me whether or not it was a good idea to put her down. I could hear my mother crying in the background, who raised our dog like her own child. I had called up a few friends back home to go spend time with my dog since I couldn't be there. I video called them and saw her for the last time. I still think about her everyday. Its been a few months already but I still think about her everyday. Just wanted to put it out there.

2. It was soooooo relatable when you said about the jealousy and insecurity and how honest you were to reveal it. Even i won't like to entertain but people keep telling that it's not a big deal just to listen to the part or give them company. But i get extremely jealous while listening to the part where he used to talk about some girl and how amazing she is in this and that and i just had to listen cause i don't want him to know that I'm feeling jealous cause first of all he used to make fun of me being jealous and secondly i thought if i let him know the parts which bothers me he'd stop talking to me about it. Maybe it'd have been better if I'd have stopped talking about few things to me but then curiosity started killing me like what's happening now and then it started again! That way i started getting toooo many complex about myself..the way i look or how talentless i am n all. And those were so self torturing tooo i know. But it was very hard to express all these to him cause i was scared if he'd make fun of it or worse that he won't find it that sensitive and asking me to just take a chill pill. So yeah it was good to know that i could relate that part with you.

I desperately want to adopt a puppy but my mother won't allow so I can not adopt before having my own house.A guy who is talking so emotionally about his dog with so much love & feelings.. I totally relate to not being friends with an ex.But I take it one step further I even block them and just never ever talk to them.Not because I cant handle it like a mature person but only because I wouldnt have it if my bf is friends with his Ex.M too insecure to deal with it like a grown up.And it does complicate things.
