I drive a Giulia Quadrifoglio and utterly adore it, so much so it actually belongs to me, not a finance company. In 80 odd cars I’ve enjoyed, it’s the one I rate the highest! The GTA’s Classic status is assured.
It's really an amazing car, i reviewed both the giulia QV and the stelvio Q4 , and they are so , so good ! I'd always take one of those instead of a 3 series or x series ... They are luxurious, fast, elegant and still aggresive, and cheaper than the counterparts... yes they lack some of the tech, gadgets and safety features but they more than make up for it in other departements!
I love your reviews. So real-world. I don't drag race, and rarely track. The QV has captured my heart in a way that all my Ferraris, GT3s, and M3/M5s could not. I would like to buy one of these, but though I can afford it $250k is a bit rich when I think it's probably 110% of a QV.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia looks ok but the GTAm with the rear wing, and new front bumper is simply gorgeous a race car in the proper sense. Not crazy aero, not fussy vents, pure design like a true Alfa should be.
This channel needs a serious revival. This guy reviews the most interesting cars in a most boring way. I'm still surprised I don't fall asleep halfway through his reviews
It's a beautiful car especially in that colour (maybe red would be even nicer). If you can afford that amount then I think you'd be able spend a bit more and get a M5 CS. The Alfa would be more rare though, so you could argue its more special. Personally I'd buy a proper sports car and have a second hand standard QV
I love almost everything about this except those wheels. They need to go. Older Alfas used to have such beautiful dial wheels, I don't know why these are not up to the mark. But apart from that, it's a beautiful car indeed!
You have to make sure Giulia bonnets are shut properly as they have a catch on both sides hence why the Bonnet on this GTAm is sticking up on the off side in some shots
In some shots the bonnet is crooked, in others it sits perfectly flush, not sure if that’s a manufacturing defect or user error. Hopefully owner cars won’t have any issues like that.

Such a shame that this platform doesn't have such a clear future. The Giulia never sold as much as it should and this is really all down to the austerity towards the brand. It felt like they knew they had an amazing product; but still they didn't fully believed in it. I can understand Alfa is working hard to electrify the Stelvio and the Giulia to squeeze few more years out of the platform; but really baffles me on how is it possible that AUDI can pull out 8-9 models out of the same platform and Alfa didn't thought about it. This GTAm it maybe the final swan song for the Alfa sports sedan as intended by petrol-heads. Those 500 units will be a collectible item for sure.
Yeah its not Alfa that decides, its FCA (or ”Stellantis” now). But so true, they could have done 20 different Fiats, Lancias and Maseratis on this Giorgio-platform. Simple example; a retro Fiat 131 would sell like cupcakes. But no, moneymaking is for others. Appearently.
Bunch of alarmist simpletons! The Giorgio platform continues, but it will be reconfigured and known as 'STLA Large'. The English media spreading wrong news; in Italy it's clear the new CEO said the name 'Giorgio' is finished.
@@nessuno5403 It's not that simple. First, the Giorgio platform was never meant to be electrified as there is literally no space where to put the batteries. If you remember the 2017 presentation we were suppose to get a PHEV Giulia and Stelvio, along with GTV and 8C (!) and a bunch of SUVs. Electrifying Giorgio was a mere afterthought in that presentation, and i guess someone then realised that was no easy task. This is one of the reasons why the Tonale it's getting so long to come out as it will be a transversally mounted FWD and they had to redraw the project using the CMP platform (Peugeot 2008). FCA needed PSA, as FCA did not have a single electric platform. Second, the Maserati Gracale was meant to sit on the Giorgio Platform (the Levante still stil on an ancient Chrisler 300C platform basically); but that needed extensive rethinking as they had to find a why to electrify it. From that work and with more extensive modification you will end up with the upcoming STLA Large platform. I clearly don't know how much hardware will be left that's shared with the Giorgio. Also in one of the most recent presentation they are saying the STLA Large is meant for "Four-wheel drive Performance American Muscle" , also on the presentation there is a technical drawing to illustrate the STLA-Large platform with a huge battery setting between the axel. You can call it as you wish but THAT Giorgio platform will be unrecognisable. In my view, Imparato correct himself saying that just the Giorgio name is gone, it's only for the public opinion and to make it believe that are not simply throwing into the bit a platform that costed 1 Billion euro to develop.

4.30 on makes sense to me! Love one. Not about the numbers it is about the drive. Engine/transmission is what it is all about. Without that, you don't have anything to work on. Witness the M3 V8. great car, don't get me wrong, but just not the same as the straight 6's old or new.

The desire to sell in China has made that front end hideous. The new One Series with the two front grills high up is arguably worse. Especially in full chintz chrome. God help us. Then, as you say, there’s the Alpha.
That amount of money for a Giulia with spoilers and some minor upgrades? - That is a bit much. - You can get a GT3 for that money. Crazy. - I understood why the Project 8 was so expensive because they build literally a new car around the cabin. - This car has not gone through a transformation like this compared to the Jaguar. - Even when you buy the best aftermarket stuff available it would not be more than 30K Euros. Don`t get it.
Wing needs to go. Don’t see the point actually. Why would I want a 4-door with no rear seats? Cool as hell, just destined for a collection as a novelty item.
I will take one Huracan Evo RWD for a similar price over this and have a better time driving. Same amount of seats, but 4 more cylinders, no farty sounding exhaust, and it looks much better than this Civic Type R here

The other two will tank in value, especially the Porsche. You could drive this for two years and at the very worst break even.

Replacing the back seats with a roll cage in a 4-door saloon is plain stupid. They want it to be lightweight and raw but they give it a torque converter, climate control and navigation. Alfa doesn't seem to know what they want this thing to be (other than hugely expensive) and as a result it seems like it could have been more effective if it had a specific goal in mind.
Boring review and reviewer and with misconstrued info!? Eg standard Giulia Quadrifoglio also already has a carbon roof and bonnet (from 2:54 you even left it open!); those suspension modes are also on the standard one!

Grossly overpriced and Im almost certain that a M3 competition will beat it around any circuit for less than half the money. However, exotic super sedans like this are a dying breed and should be celebrated!

But it's so diluted... they couldn't tune the ZF to Giulia standards and they have digital farting through the speakers to make up for the missing engine sound. Inside it's fake luxe, outside it's hideous and overall it's cold and characterless. No longer an M3, but an M5 for the poor. All the best, from a departing, disappointed M owner... they have lost the plot in Bavaria.
@@nessuno5403 I also have an E92 M3 which is arguably the last true M car that followed the original M philosophy. Yes, the new M3 lacks the character of the older M cars but looks are subjective. You're free to feel any way you wish about the car. The handling dynamics are impeccable and its an absolute blast to drive.
@@superfast30which M3 are you mentioning in the end? G80? Driven/own it? Its capabilities aren't questioned, but it's too sanitized/diluted at a driving emotive level (won't focus on hideous looks). E92? Well, it's a unicorn for sure due to its V8, which makes it sing the best. Having experienced both E92 and F87 in the last few years, I prefer the F87 for its rawness. The E92 is more GT cruiser. Still, a genuine M3 instead of today's fast barge.

M3 cs will be gta’s competitor, between m3 cs and giulia gta , I would pick giulia cause I like the exterior more ;)
The GTA, from an engineering and performance perspective is totally different to both the M5 and M3 CS.

Nope - carbon fibre roof was axed for MY20 onwards on the standard Quadrifoglio. I had a MY19 and have a MY21 arriving next weekend.
