I just appreciate that there is no epic, royalty free, compulsory youtube soundtrack. Just good old environmental audio.
Shows you don't need camera movement to make something cinematically compelling.
Ive watched this a million times and I have a question if you dont mind. When you add grain/noise are you adding a film grain overlay or your using the noise effect in premiere pro?
Incredible work.
Hi, Antoine!
I actually don’t remember what kind of grain I used here… I think it was some kind of overlay with pretty low opacity.
Glad you’re enjoying it!
@@grandemoproductions appreciate your response. You own us nothing. Lol thank you
The shot at 3:15 is STUNNING! Absolutely gorgeous! And everything from 4:27 on!
This is fantastic. Beautifully composed
Thanks!
This is EXCELLENT! Much love from East Tennessee🙏🏼
Thanks so much Garret!!
So warm
beautiful 🤩
I like this video. The vibe is nice - calm/pleasent.
Great work. Just ordered a Helios for the 6K. Looking forward to using it, if I can get anything even close any of these shots I'll be very happy.
Really lovely - beautiful colour and composition- old gritty feel to it
Glad you liked it, Samuel!
Fantastic! I love how natural these frames feel. Every one of them feels as if I'm in the room or standing on the outside of the group looking in. What did you use to record audio?
Thanks Dylan! I had a MKE 600 on the camera and used my Zoom H4n to record additional sounds (in stereo). I then mixed those in post, together with some prerecorded samples.
Love your style! Damn this is so good and so brilliant in its simplicity.
Thanks Kevin! Glad you enjoyed it!!
I want that camera now 😩 ❤❤❤❤
Nice shots 👌
What did you use to record sound?
more of this please
Hi, did you use a speedbooster on your camera for this video ?
Thanks for the answer and great job, this looks amazing :)
Yes I did. Thanks!
@@grandemoproductionshey! What adaptor did you use with the Helios and the Speedbooster please?
This is INCREDIBLE! The colour, the pacing of the edit, the framing, the sound. It truly feels like a film. You have a cinematic eye. Well done!
Thank you!! Makes me very happy to hear!
@@grandemoproductions If you made a feature, I would watch it in a heartbeat.
The pocket 4k is a beast of a camera if you can get the focus correct. Amazing images
what speedbooster are you using for that?
Helios 44 - 3:01, 3:13, 3:26, 3:44, 3:51(Rosy cheeks pan to the left, drunken motion) , 4:31 ---
This is awesome! Did you use a speed booster at all?
He said in another comment, he did
Dope content! Name of the 52mm ND filter used in this video by chance?
Do you remember if you converted your video to Rec709 before applying the ButteryLut?? Your grade here is so freakin solid.
did you use an external microphone?
Yes! The MKE 600.
@@grandemoproductions
great!!
Just wow. May I ask how you graded this? It looks a bit like an Alexa LUT.
This is probably the best BMPCC4K footage on all of RUclips. Bravo my friend
Undoubtfully beautiful video for even 2 years after😍🔥
How does this lems mount to 6kpro ?
Amazing work, how do achieve such sharp images?
Is it a m42 mount? If so, which adapter did you use
I honestly don't remember right now, but it's easy to google. And I think I may have answers that questions before somewhere in the comments. Good luck! (I'm pretty sure the adapter I used is from K&F Concept.)
Hi, can I ask you what export settings did you use? The compression looks much better compared to other videos from pocket 4k. Beautiful video btw!
That had a really cool feeling to it. Just got my Helios. Can’t wait to shoot with it! Also your color grading was really great
Thanks! And good luck to you!
The color looks FANTASTIC! How did you grade it?
Thanks!! I think I used Buttery Luts as a start, and then went from there! Did it all in Premiere.
@@grandemoproductions glad to come across others who still use premier for blackmagic products.
I feel that there is no rolling shutter effect. How do u do that without s16 crop?
This has such a beautiful and calm atmosphere! Also nice color grading:)
I just bought this lens and have this camera. The shots you got are stunning - so stoked to try out this combo!
This is gorgeous. Which Buttery LUT did you start with? Natural Rec709?
Hmm, I think so yes!
@@grandemoproductions what did you use to record audio? Sounds fantastic.
@@ThomasJohn1 Hi Tom! I had a Sennheiser MKE 600 connected directly to the camera, while also recording some audio with my Zoom H4n - then i mixed the results in post. Also cheated a little bit and used some sounds that weren't mine, the thunder for example.
Just bought a 44-m4 and a 44-2 for my 6k pro. I can't wait....
Howdo u mount onto 6kpro
@@AmillionCo you have to buy an adapter. It's cheap.
@@gamiensrule will u help me and send link. I cnt find any adapter that lets you mount to Ef to anything else
@@gamiensrule my cam is EF system any suggestions
Gorgeous
Hi, I absolutely love it, did you use an adapter for the lens to work with the bmpcc 4k?
Yes! One adapter from K&F, M42 to EOS and then the Viltrox-adapter EOS to MFT.
@@grandemoproductions Do you use the Viltrox M1 or M2?
Utterly wonderful. Loved every second of this film. May all your vacations be this slow.
Hi there!
Would you care to show us how you graded this?
Hi! I'm afraid that kind of video isn't really my thing... but I'm glad you liked it!
As a BMPCC4K owner, this is great..really love the vibe. Inspiring! New sub! :)
Love the grade. Is the LUT available?
Thanks! No LUT available at the moment I'm afraid.
Absolutely great, beautiful static shots
Thanks man!
great images
Camera quality is something else now. We have access to inexpensive cameras that allow us to make things that look like beautiful independent productions. What ND filter did you use?
Dude! these shots are some of the best coming from this camera! can you explain the colouring process you did for this project?
Thanks Peter!! Like I wrote in some earlier comment: I think I used Buttery Luts as a start, and then went from there! Did it all in Premiere. Relied mostly on gut feeling, more than scopes or numbers.
wow love these compositions and color! which adapter did you use for helios to ef mount?

Did you use any focal length reducer?? or is the 116mm equivalent
Amazing! This is beautiful, did you use speedbooster?
Yes I did!
@@grandemoproductions great! Thanks for replying!
How did you capture the sound? Did you have a external mic setup on the camera?
These shots are amazing! No music makes it so mediative!
beauty peaceful work very nice , the impression that you are watching some good old memories
i think we need a lil grading tutorial from u!!!!!!!! looks really nice and pleasing
thats the best colours i've seen out of the Blackmagic 4k. Can you please make a colour grading video?
Such beautiful work.
My favourite lens of all time.
Can you tell me what adapter you used?
Love it! What kind of tripod do you use? have any recomandation?
Hi! are you using a speedbooster or just an adapter 2x? thanks!
Just stunning! Composition, sound design & colour grading. Well done , what a beautiful piece of film.
Is this the on camera microphone?
I love the patient approach. Nice to find others. Beautiful grade. You know how to juice the pocket 4k just right.
Glad you like it!
Gorgeous work.
Thanks Jackson!
muy bonito el video, slow vacations...se ve increible ...tengo el mismo lente y camara probare.
Immaculate. ✨✨🎶🎶🔥🔥🔥🔥
beautiful scenes and sound design! have to say this. amasing "filmic" look and the lens character is just insane. seriously i love this round bokeh and style much more than anything anamorphic for example. subbed
Excellent. I like the natural sound. It doesn't need too much background music, it's perfect.
This has really given me the confidence to go out and shoot my next feature with my new Pocket 4K and shoot it on a tripod whilst I find my feet with it.
How did you record audio in the wide shots, was it a lav?
The footage is beautifully graded, am I right in assuming Davinci?
Glad to hear that, Louis!
I recorded the audio with a Sennheiser MKE 600 mic and the zoom H4n!
What pretty colours.
Footage is incredible! Im temped to buy this lens!
Amazing footage! what settings did you use for these shots?
this is so beautiful!
Beautiful! Did you use a speedbooster on the helios?
Thanks! Yes, the viltrox!
Speedbooster or manual adapter? Great job !!
Adapter between the Helios and the Viltrox speedbooster! Thanks!

Only natural!
Great video, love the look & edit!
Where did you get your helios lens from?
Bought it second hand!
Beautiful work!
Excellent.
Thanks!!
Did you shoot in film mode or video mode?
Film!
Beautiful work, man.
What did you use to record audio?
@@jaythefourth thanks!! Audio: I had a MKE 600 on the camera and used my Zoom H4n to record additional sounds (in stereo). I then mixed those in post, together with some prerecorded samples.
@@grandemoproductions I love it. I’m gonna def steal that setup..rarely use the top mics on my zoom, but this was a super convincing proof of concept!
Honestly, this was great. Eschews so much of the typical youtube stuff. All no camera movement, focused approach to sound, and you didn't start of the video screaming at me regarding sponsors and likes, ha. You've got a wonderful eye. This was really enjoyable. Thank you.
Thank you!! Really nice words!
Great homage to a great lens.
Thanks Arnis! Glad you liked it!
beautiful
Thank you!!!
I love your videos, especially this one. The style, color, sound, everything's on point. I watched it several times and accidentally disliked it several times because I kept hitting the thumbs up :). Did you use black pro mist filter on this one?
Haha. Thank you very much!! No mist filter used on this one, only ND.
