Thanks so much for checking it out! You can find the dimensions for the box here: www.etsy.com/listing/1277871785/simple-diy-toy-box-project-plans?ref=listings_manager_grid
Good work man. I really want to start some woodworking but seems like there’s allot of tools needed. Did you bought table saw already with big table or you extended it yourself?
Unfortunately no, I think your best bet would just be to scale everything up. I don't think it would be too difficult to manipulate the plans into a 40 x 20 😀
Do you think wheels on something like this would be structurally sound? Looking to build one but want to be able to move it easily to clean the floors.
Yes, absolutely! I think if you made sure to use a sturdy piece of plywood for the bottom of the box you could fasten them directly to that. Then they would be somewhat hidden by the bottom trim pieces. I think that would be a great look.
Great build! Quick question, I don’t have a nail gun, is there a way to do this with screws ? Also do you have a cut list or build guide for this? I want to make this for my dog and use it for his toys and food.
Sorry I'm just getting to this! Yes - you could totally do this with screws. If you head back to the video, I've added a link to a way to download some pictures and dimensions. Hope that helps.
Must be nice to have a cnc machine. Lul just kidding man, those guys are in every video an I couldn't resist for once. Wife gonna kill me if I don't make one of these soon.
Haha thanks! So here's what you do...tell the wife you physically CAN NOT make the box without a CNC machine, and mention stuff like "they're so much more efficient, I'll be able to spend more time with you", etc. Then you get your CNC and she gets her toy box and its a win-win!! 😂
Such a nice build! A cnc...one of the many things I wanna have when I'm able to have a small shop one day
You can do it!
Looks great nice job
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Do you think an adult could sit on this and not break it ? Our toy chest always gets sat on and has broken before
Love the design of the box can I get the plans for this build

Any chance you have a plan that is about 40x20 for this?

@@SamMacyDesigns Thanks so much!
Really nice build. I'm looking for toy box ideas but dont think I can pull off the mitres with a circ saw. Where'd you get the soft close hinge?
I got it right on Amazon - Morinbo Toy Box Lid Soft Close Hinges 80N-100N
Very cool! Are the bottom skirts holding up the box off of the ground?
Thank you! And yes exactly!
Can u link what actuator u used for the lid top?

These things are awesome! I only needed one for that big lid

Hey man whats the measurements on that ?
Overall its 35" x 20" and roughly 20" tall. There's a link in the description if you want a free set of plans :)
@@SamMacyDesigns thanks man you do great work 👍
what no cedar lining
Wasn't quite in the budget 😂
Perfect
Thank You!
How much did it cost you to make this. On disability and I my son needs one bad !!!
The price of plywood was quite a bit cheaper at the time but all in all I think it cost around $150
absolute finger crusher of a lid for a child, regardless of the actuator.
