Flying Scotsman - light engine move (21/8/23)

On a fairly warm summers night I visited Welwyn North station for a little night time filming. It was quite surprising that even in the small hours of the night the bottleneck caused by the Welwyn Tunnels and Digswell viaduct was having an effect, with an early running 800 having to slow down whilst signal 624 was at red due to 387125 having just left after stopping at the staion.
Running behind the 800 on yellow signals, 60103 Flying Scotsman along with its support coach coasts into the station, the platform lights sequentially increasing in brightness as she slowly progressed through the station. She was soon back into the darkness, but then the driver opened her up as the signal cleared, the sound of her exhaust reverberating around the Digswell valley before the air fell silent once more.
