@Anurag the 6.2 raptor gets 14/18 mpg and the v6 raptor gets 15/18 mpg, not a whole lot of difference
Ethan Ross raptor 6.2 is more like 9-11 mpg. Trust me haha
Dan Nah, they get about 5-10mpg less than a Fiesta in the real world. Big engines require less power to be delivered for the task while small engines require much more strain & power to achieve the same results.

Yeah it would still beat the brakes off the 1st gen raptor. He didn’t even brake boost the launch or it would have been way worse. On a NA v8 your gonna be lucky to get what 10-15 whp and having a 6 spd trans it never stood a chance
@@thatguy-ye7pb I’d still take the v8. You can upgrade it with super or turbo chargers just like the ecoboost. It really boils down to longevity, and that 6.2 v8 has proven to run super high miles in the superduty trucks, plain and simple, it’ll run much longer with less maintenance issues than that ecoboost.
Tune the v8 and the results wouldn't change.

They pulled the same bs with a 2020 supra vs a new mustang. They made sure to get a supra with an aftermarket tune and more boost. It's painful how hard these guys try to push the v6s.

@@shugthehornyhaggis Both of the petrol powered vehicles here have more torque than the diesel. A turbo petrol engine can have comparative torque to a diesel while making more power, they are much easier to tune to make more power/torque, they're much more reliable and cheaper to fix than modern diesels and in my opinion the driving experience is much, much better than diesel. Oh yeah diesels are also dirty, polluting engines.
Fuel economy doesn't concern me. I'd rather have a car that suits the above criteria over fuel economy.
If they released the Ranger Raptor with any of the ecoboost engines I would buy it tomorrow. Instead they only sell it with the asthmatic, high strung 2L which is rubbish for towing IMO.
@@shugthehornyhaggis let's talk real world examples here. The VW Amarok is the most powerful ute available in Australia. It makes 580NM and 190KW (254HP), so as you can see the petrol powered vehicles of the same class make comparable torque but much more power.
3L V6 diesel Amarok - 580NM 254HP
6.2L V8 petrol Raptor - 557NM 411HP
3.5L V6TT petrol Raptor - 691NM 450HP
Clearly the Ecoboost Raptor makes more power and more torque from a comparatively sized engine to the Amarok.

In Australia the Ranger Raptor has less towing capacity than the regular Ranger, however my comment is more in relation to how a 2L motor will have to be worked much, much harder than a larger motor. Like the Ranger 3.2, which is better for towing than the 2L.

Danny Rice The Ford Ranger from America would most likely beat your Amarok, the ones from the states have around 270 HP and 310 LBFT. And they fly too.
Put the amarok on 35 inch off road tires and see if it keeps up with f150, I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t blow a transfer case!

The Rolls Royce engine wasn't spectacular, just a usual plain engine of it's time. The Germans build during the WW2 also the first jet engine and jet-plain.
Btw, nowadays Rolls Royce is owend and build by BMW, a German company, so now they manufacture the luxury cars in the right way and the brand "Rolls Royce" had survived oconomically (like Bentley, but thankfully to VW).

The 2019 Ford Ranger sold in America with it’s 270 horsepower 2.3 liter inline 4 cylinder does the 1/4 mile in 15 seconds @ 93 mph and 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds according to Car & Driver magazine. That’s faster than all three of the trucks seen here.

The Ranger Raptors, designed in Australia, received overwhelming criticism from Aussie car fans online for its bog standard engine. Sure exceptional suspension but the raptor badge warrants at the very minimum a bit more power out of the diesel four. It really deserves a six.
