- In this video I have this 2008 Mercedes C180 w204 and I will be changing the transmission fluid in it, this procedure will be the same for many other Mercedes models and years.
This job is a bit messy but not to difficult, how ever I would advice to be prepared and have all the necessary tools for the job, including a torque wrench in order to avoid damaging any nuts or bolts.

Thank you bro..but the question is how i can check the oil level of the transmission? Plz can u make video how we can check the level?
Hi, well technically you can buy a transmission dipstick and measure the oil that way, so on the video there is a dipstick hole i use for adding the transmission fluid and this hole can also be used to measure the transmission fluid but you need a stick if there isn't one. I'll try to make a video showing the dipsticks fitted to some cars.
Why didn't you remove the bolt from the torque converter to take all the old ATF?
Was just doing a standard oil change, I should have done the full change but didn’t bad planning on my part.
I think the body of the MB torque converter after 1997 does not come with a drain plug. Yes, no?.
as far as am aware the w204 does come with a drain plug.@@whlawson5812
what can happen if i dont change the filter on my 1st ATF replacement?
Well I have done transmission fluid changes where i did not change the filter (strainer) is not really an issue, or at least I never had an issue, you can change it next time.
Hi, I’ve got a C200 Kompressor 2008 model.
I got quoted by a garage that transmission oil required by my car is 7 litres.
But in your video, you used 3 litres only.
😅
If you drain the fluid from the torque converter as well the it’s 7 liters as far as I know. I didn’t do a full change.
Czy jest w tym modelu śrubka do spuszczenia oleju z przemiennika obrotowego czy tylko pozostaje wymiana oleju metodą płukania ?
Where can I get the dip stick
Mercedes dealership.
How do you check the level
You would have to get a dipstick. Are there any leaks ? because unless you have a leak, the fluid would remain the same.
