Hey Laurie, AMAZING video I absolutely loved this video, I enjoyed seeing the beauty in all the cakes. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this video but also ALL your videos, it is very much appreciated and enjoyed by your viewers and subscribers. Quick question though, what breed is Archie I am curious because he is so cute and patient but also his manners (like waiting to get permission to lay on the lounge) is very smart and well taught! I loved how the second he got approval, he just got comfortable and fell asleep it is so beautiful.

Friendly criticism: If you want more views, you might want to start blurring the cakes ALOT more. I just caught myself scrolling right past a bunch of your videos and not clicking through and I realized it was because I would read the title and then see the results in thumbnail. It's like the video has been spoiled for me. That suspense and joy you get after opening your eyes when you first see them, we don't really get that because the cakes are too clearly visible in the thumbnail. Some are obscured enough but most are very easy to see. I love watching your videos and I would love to be as surprised as you are! 😱

The sculpting was in the cake not the buttercream! It was covered with buttercream... If it's supposed to display a face covered with a veil (irrespective of whether it resembled an original sculpture) in this case, I would have liked to see the shadow of the face, thus giving the image 'depth' - seeing the face beneath the veil...

The Veiled Virgin by Strazza would not be a cultural reference for US citizens outside of Catholicism and art lovers.
I see what you’re attempting to do but one isn’t even compared to the other. I learned to decorate cakes in 80's in a class through 4h. We did everything in buttercream or royal icing, which we learned to make. Flowers were done directly on the cake or on a flower nail, especially roses. I did many 3d type cakes for friends and family birthdays and parties. I decorated for the county 4h show and state competition. For those we actually were allowed to use styrofoam instead of cake. I think a well done buttercream cake is so much prettier than fondant and tastes better.

Hunnnnnn it's an artistic philosophy on the changing of the seasons. The waterfall signifies the "falling of the seasons" spring summer blends together in many places summer is just an extension of spring so one layer to show those 2 seasons also spring and summer is dainty and delicate with babies being born, butterflies, flowers, etc so smallest layer on the cake with delicate details. But then fall and winter very quickly change and fall into a frozen winter wonderland. The rapids white crashing part of the waterfall is crashing into winter. With winter being so dramatic with temperatures, snow, ice, and wind the bottom tier showing the most dramatic details, and the largest tier showing the grand drama and changes the northern hemisphere goes through every winter.

the beauty and skill of the marble statue is the ability to imply the form under the sheet while capturing the flow and texture of the sheet in something that isn't easily textured
Of course rendering texture is difficult, in both buttercream and marble, so I think the form and technique used should be much more heavily appreciated here
