These headlights are so damn sexy! I just finished my install and they look great. I also replaced the halogen bulb with a 6k HID KIT.!👍🏽
xlazer6 - it took me about 2 1/2 hours. Yes, i would suggest replacing the halogen bulbs first. You can do the HID ballast and wiring once the new headlights are in. Also, get yourself a flexible drill bit extension and remove the tires before you start. Finally you should also remove the entire rubber wheel well this gives you maximum clearance.

Very helpful video. Watched it to install mine. Question - are the upper LED strips supposed to be on when the daytime running lamps are operating or only during the time the headlights are turned on? Mine only turns on when the welcome lights are on and when the headlights (low beams) are actually on.

If you have the LCI F30 Chassis, then the DEPO F30 headlights may not be a fitment as we cannot comment whether if the lights will function properly or not as we have not tested them on the LCI F30 Chassis. The physical fitment is very similar - however, I believe that the lights are wired differently between the PRE-LCI and LCI F30 chassis. Thanks for checking.

Hi Jose, thanks for asking. Although we are talking with DEPO to see if they are interested in developing headlights for the LCI F30 chassis, there isn't anything concrete we've agreed upon. If DEPO is to start with the development, the R&D process may take almost a year to get a sample out for us to test. I sincerely apologize for not having anything at the moment. Hi I had these professionally installed in a 2014 328i and now one high beam bulb is out. Is there an easier way to replace it without removing the entire headlight?

Sorry for the late reply. I am confirming with you that the bulb sizes for the DEPO F30 headlights are (1) H7 = Low, (2) H7 = High, and (3) PY21W = Signal. Thanks for checking.
What is the correct part for the low beam H7 retaining clip to use if I want to change out the stock halogen bulbs for, say an LED bulb? I’d like to match the low beam light output to the angel eye rings. Or where could I get LED bulbs with preinstalled retaining clip that these DEPO headlights use for the low beams? Thanks!

I am not sure whether if the LED bulbs you are looking to retrofit will fit through the holes on the retainer clips as some LED bulb head are too large. Hi, is there a difference between the DEPO's for right or left handed vehicles? I've seen DEPO's in stock on the eurowagens website but they claim that they are only going to fit right handed vehicles (UK). The left handed DEPO's they offer are out of stock, so I do not know what I am going to do. Thanks for answers!
Hi Marjan, thanks for asking. Although the physical fitment between RHD and LHD headlights are the same, the main difference is the Low Beam "Cut-Off" output they create. Since we are selling for US/CAN-Spec vehicles, our cut-off line is set for Left Hand Drive (LHD) setup. The Right Hand Drive (RHD) cut-off will be opposite from ours. Here is an example of what the LHD vs the RHD cut-off difference may be:

The Step-up Cut-off line is important so that you do not blind the oncoming traffic:

If you have Factory Xenon settings from stock, you may have to do additional wiring on your main connector to retain your Stay on High Beam function. If you have Factory Halogen settings, the DEPO E90 headlights are plug and play. Thanks for checking!

hello and ty for the video, do these lights always flicker? I've noticed in the video they are flickering a lot
Actually, they seem to flicker but they are not. Here's a good explanation that I stole: "The output of light from an LED is a certain frequency in hertz. Let's say it's 30 Hz from the LED and the camera recording it records at a common 24 frames per second. Every few frames recorded by the camera will not be in sync with the light source and thus a "blinking" occurs where the camera caught the LED in between cycles."
Hi, thanks for asking. I completely agree with what the individual is mentioning below. All LED components have a cycle/refresh rate. Normally these cycle/refresh rates are not visible to the naked eye. However, cameras captures images in a much higher cycle rates than the naked eye can, which may seem like the LEDs are flickering or strobing. Thanks for checking.
@@kevinjt88 Yes, the frequency of the camera frames creates an artifact of beats with the frequency of the LED flicker. But, no, if you connect a raw LED to a DC power supply, it does not flicker, in a camera or to the naked eye. These LEDs are flickering. The issue here may be that the 12V DC of the system is being down-converted to about 3V by a DC-DC converter that has a poor choice of capacitance. Or, if the LEDs are in series in the lamp, the issue could be the perennial one of the alternator adding AC on top of the DC which would make the LEDs get brighter and dimmer by, say, 10%. -Electronics teacher.

Hi, you are correct that the DEPO F30 headlights are plug and play as long as you have the PRE-LCI F30 Chassis with Factory Halogen settings.

Hi, thanks for asking. From our experience, there should be a panel cut-out inside your wheel well that you can remove to access the headlight's rear housing. From there you should have enough room to remove the high beam rear housing cap to change the halogen bulb. Thanks for checking.

Hi, thanks for asking. We only sell the headlights with Halogen bulbs for the Low Beam projector. If you wish to install your own aftermarket HID or LED bulbs onto the Low Beam projector, you may do this at your own discretion. Please advise that this may void the manufacturer warranty as the rear housing needs to be modified to allow the aftermarket HID Bulbs to connect to the Ballast. The DEPO F30 headlights are error free with the Halogen bulbs. If the aftermarket HID Kit causes an error message for your Low Beam, this would only be involved with the aftermarket HID components and not with the headlights (which you should only use 35 watts as 55 watts HID components burn too hot). How long is the install time?
Hi Ira, the installation time depends on the installer. Average installation time for us for these headlights run about 1.5 hours. We've installed quite a few of these headlights on local customers car, which the installation process for us is pretty routine now for the F30 Chassis. Thanks for checking.

Hi, thanks for your acknowledgement. The headlights do come with halogen bulbs for the Low Beam, High Beam, and Signal Lights. If you are seeking an HID upgrade, this would be your decision to modify/retro-fit the DEPO lights to install them. If you wish to retain the manufacturer warranty, we recommend using Halogen bulbs until the warranty period is over, which then you can decide what you want to do with the lights. The Halogen output would be the traditional yellowish output you see in most cars. The whiter lights are either Xenon or LEDs. Thanks for checking.
