They are plug and play. Esay enough to install yourself, did my own. Took spoiler off, wheels off, inner wheel arches off. trickiest part were the four mounting bolts were fiddly to take off, but easy with new fittings to assemble. The original halogen headlamps gave the worse lighting compared to the very many cars I've owned in my time and I couldn't see clearly at night with original headlamps even with uprated halogen bulbs. I tried HID kit in original halogens and they very bright in one spot and useless for a wider beam of light for driving so I replaced the headlamps with these and replaced the halogen bulbs that came with these new headlamps for fan less led bulbs and the light output from the led bulbs are brilliant, no comparison to previous halogen bulbs or HID kit. Two main reasons I bought these headlights were they give a better light output which is the most important reason why I bought them and the cost was reasonable compared to DEPOS. I think it's disgaceful that BMW can get away with selling cars fitted with such lousy light output on halogen standard headlamps. Shame on BMW, I for one would never buy another BMW with halogen headlamps, ever again.
Hi there.... I installed the HID ones on my bmw 2015...they’re very nice looking but I have low beam error code turned on.. I bought the warning cancelers but they didn’t come with any diagram...is this an easy connection...!!
I bought these with the chrome finish and got a low beam malfunction upon completing installation. after adding H7 lumen LEDs it went away but came back with both high and low malfunctions. Any clue as to what went wrong? I had a bmw mechanic install them (not at a dealership).
i got these last month and they make visibility better than factory halogens. i highly recommend these lights as they are easy to install and to adjust if you don't want to spend over 2 k on oem adaptive head lights. it also offers a very nice look to the front end.
Hey! As I've seen in another installation video, the high and low beams are in the same lens, while the other one functions as DRL. See all the way in the end of this video, when he switches from parking to low beams.

Hello, can I ask if it is possible to replace the low beam bulb with LED bulb for this headlight assembly?
Yes, you can replace halogen bulb with a LED bulb but you may have to fit a resistor to overcome bmw coding when fitted.

BMW 2012-2015 is the same design. Yea it will. it won't work for 2016 though.

You need to have them codded off so they will not show the warning
No they are separate
You may need to code off the warm and cold monitoring for the beams. You can do this with an OBD receiver and bimmercode or any other coding tool.
