My suggestion would be to stop the incentive for school shootings, acts such as bullying, humiliation, etc.. by implementing a strict code of conduct and actually enforce it. And take mental illness more seriously when it comes to buying a gun, not all mental illness since we can't generalize, just erratic mental illness.

Broader point of view man. Mental illness should be the worst case, not the decisive factor. Having a weapon is obviously a very serious thing. They should require a psychiatric evaluation and give value to ANYTHING that has the possibility to make a person unsuitable for using a weapon. And they should repeat the same process after a certain amount of time.

I understand all the sadness, but really, this is just another case of the state not helping young people in need. His mom was his everything, and he lost her. Also, with his reactions and actions, I believe he has schizophrenia or alike. Of course, he deserves to be punished, but not with an execution. He knew what he did was wrong, I'm pretty sure with all the signs and everything afterwards, that he was actually feeling guilty. Maybe he even wants to, hopes to be executed, because the guilt is unbearable. Actually, a case where it's not a psychopath, but just a bunch of mental illnesses and sorrow. It was an act done in frustration and anger. He should be on maximum security or supermax for the rest of his life - but not executed. We need to spread awareness that this is happening, and it's simply us not reacting to such sign early on enough. I do have condolences for all the victims and people left behind, but it draws a straight line of what was going on in his head.

As much as I hate him, I feel sad for him. Yes, what he did was absolutely horrific and really fucking sad. But I'm kind of an over analyzer where I need to know both sides of things, I'm planning on going into psychology when I graduate high school so I'm really interested in why did he do it?why did he snap? Was he aware of what he was committing? Like I need to know more. I'm not justifying what he did, I'm just saying that for me personally, I have to know both sides and I need to dig deeper. It's not everyday where a mentally stable teenager wakes up and decides they want to shoot up a school and take innocent lives, there has to be a reason. He also shouldn't have been able to access a military weapon. I wish this was prevented and he could've been helped before this happened. It's a shame. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families, there friends, classmates who where in that building and staff. It's truly horrible.

I dont get it, my mom passed when i was 7 and it was really hard and my dad got a girlfriend and my dads gf would abuse me all the time until my dad kicked her out until like 4 years but it really hurt. When i was a kid, my friends would ask if they could come over but i said no because i was scared my friends were gonna see me get hit. But that happend a long time ago but you dont see me killing kids and teachers, i just think cruz was crazy, i think someone told him to do it or he just hated someone so bad that he wanted to kill them.

I had a friend that was diagnosed with schizophrenia, if she missed her meds, her behavior was bizarre! One day, she stripped naked, and walked through town, it was 20 degrees out, she claimed she was on 🔥 fire!
Another time, she said voices told her Phil Collins was a devil, and was eating chips at 3 am! She never harmed herself or killed someone!

It's such a sad day when schools have to put metal detectors at the front and back door. But this is our life now in the USA, we have to take precautions to protect our children. Anti-bullying classes now more than ever need to be part of the normal curriculum.
I think there is only two ways you could handle this. 1. ALL FIRE ARMS CAN BE BOUGHT AND USED BY PEOPLE IN LAW ONLY, OR 2., SPEND MONEY TO HAVE SCANNERS AND/ OR POLICE OFFICERS STANDING AT ALL DOORS IN EVERY SCHOOL IN AMERICA. You know the wand that they use when you go to court, or see someone in a mental place, that they run across people's bodies wouldn't be a bad idea too.
