Great, I use it quite a bit myself.
I love the Sonible plug ins. They are very intuitive and definitely get you to a great starting point for the results you are listening for. I have them all and they are used in ever mix in one way or another.
Sounds like some more plugins to dive into over here 😉
Great compressor Specially the GUI. Although I think Trackspacer does a better job on spectral ducking trough ext side-chain..super easy to tweak hi & lo pass etc. Of course this one can be tweaked but the "smart" learning should deliver a better result.
Yes that part of it works better in track spacer.
Very helpful introduction to this amazing compressor. It is probably the most complete transparent compressor on the market. I can't think of any function and feature that could be implemented. I my self testing the expensive acclaimed leapwing dynone mastering multiband compressor. It sounded amazing right of the box with one preset. I would like to compare it to smartcomp 2 if I have time. If it's as convincing I can save 200 $. Do you have compared these two?

Gotta admit the default to auto release is annoying - it's almost always off. Usually way too long.

The the spectral compression is kind of doing the Soothe 2 or Gulfoss type thing?
I don't think it is so much a resonance suppressor like Soothe. I don't know Gulfoss well enough to know whether it compares.
@@LanewoodStudios I wouldn't have thought it would be a Soothe replacement.... But it grabs many funny bands and compresses then intelligently based on it's algo to improve the EQa little bit dynamically, I assume.
