Hey you all! This is the Routine I followed in 2011. here's a link to the older video if you want to check it out & you'll get to see where I started if you're newly subscribed. video quality is lower but the content is good.😂 pt.2: Roller Set Tutorial 2011 ruclips.net/video/WjOErvTBwUQ/видео.html pt. 3. Roller Set Take Down Silk Wrap ruclips.net/video/mSQrit6AxWQ/видео.html
allofdestiny hey destiny! I wrap my hair wet all the time and I will say that it matters how far post relaxer you are. Idk about your unrelated hair texture but I know when my new growth is popping, I can't wrap my hair bc the junction between the 2 textures is a site for major tangles for me. But when I'm freshly relaxed I have no problems. Also I use BB foam for my wraps. I really believe it's the best (and cheapest lol)
I guess Im asking randomly but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost the login password. I appreciate any help you can offer me.
very nice. I don't like flat ironed hair either, I prefer my yaki texture popping when I airdry and blow dry on cool. I stopped flat ironing my hair last year because I kept having set backs. Your hair is going to bounce back so good now, in both thickness and length. Happy hair journey
I stumbled upon your video and this extremely helpful. The roller sets and hair wrapping are best way to protect your hair from heat damage. I’m buying some rollers today. Thank you for this.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
allofdestiny I didn't realize you updated the description. On the roller set vid from a week ago I asked about silk wraps and you said to check your channel.
Sierra Brown yes! Ppl talk about whole wash days being a chore and styling taking forever and im like what are yall doing?! Lol simple is best and i wash, style and go! Nothing i do takes more than 45 min to an hr and im good for at least a week
all of Destiny I really like all your videos I like that you go from the long hairstyle to your short hairstyle either way you are beautiful no matter what nobody tell you continue to make videos cuz I learned a lot from you i and try do hairstyles on my own head
You are so right T Stanton! she has a beautiful and fun attitude! I use to watch other videos with close to my hair length but when I started watching you Destiny I was hooked lol. You are awesome and have me laughing 😂😂 We luv U girly and keep up the awesome work. I try all your styles😉😊💘
Yay...been waiting for this video. Thank you so much! Your hair looks healthy, shiny and lustrous. Stay true to yourself. 💕 from one of your South African subbies.
It's funny how natural people get on relaxed hair videos talking about i love my natural hair. Then why the hell you up on relaxed hair videos, simply trying to make yourselves feel better.
I don’t think they mean it like naturally kinky they mean natural as in growing out of there head because people find it easier to manage and it can still be healthy but that doesn’t mean it’s bad it’s just natural hair isn’t meant for everyone to handle
When I first started my HHJ I would roller set my hair all the time! I haven't rolled my hair in years now but it's always nice seeing others results since mine always sucked haha
Hey Destiny, I love your videos, you're personality is just so relatable, not to mention you are so funny, and have me crackin up almost everytime I watch one of your vids. Anywho, can you tell me what kindof Bonnet Dryer you use, i'm looking to buy one..just not sure where to start. Thanks in advance, and thanks for posting. :)
I have a question. Anyone who sees this comment feel free to answer because Destiny may have a lot of comments that she won't be able to see mine. But, if you wet wrap your hair with setting lotion or foam, does it still give it a nice straight look? Because roller setting takes me a long time ESPECIALLY WHEN I DON'T HAVE HOODED DRYER. I have to rely on air drying. :(
Emmanuela Jean-Baptiste if you have natural hair the setting lotion or foam will revert your curls back since it is liquid. unless you use a really small amount of the setting lotion or foam. Hope this helps other than that you should be okay
Emmanuela Jean-Baptiste if you are freshly relaxed or have a looser texture you can wet wrap and air dry. You may have to flat iron your roots as the dryer will help to give you a more sleek look than air drying alone.
Tina Washington I rollerset my natural hair. I do suggest picking your setting lotion wisely. It can leave natural hair very dry so either don't use it or use it sparingly. I suggest using hourglass rollers. They have smooth teeth that grip the hair and gives natural hair the necessary tension to get it smooth and straight. Good luck.
Sis u gotta stop stretching ur relaxers, do 6-8 weeks or none at all. U just causing unnecessary breakage and I know the potential of ur hair I know you'll get back there by the end of the year just don't stretch please
Michelle Denise YES!!!! My relaxed hair was thick, healthy, long (apl-bsl) all that and I would relax every 4 weeks! They only say you should "stretch" if youre prone to overlapping or other bad hair practices. Stretching relaxers confuses your hair. After you go 6-8 weeks your hair goes in to shock and sheds/breaks off bad. After a while, it adapts to the new growth (as if you're going natural) and you're fine. But then it has to re-adapt when you relax again. I completely recommend 4-6 weeks. Girls like meg and prettywitty have shown that stretching can be good, but girls like sparkle have shown that relaxing consistent and often can help a whole lot. All I know is when I was consistent, I was good. When I went longer than I should have, I was bad lol. I love Destiny and her videos, though. I'm natural now (I wanted to see my natural curls again. LOVE THEM😍) but I still watch her because I have been for years, her personality is sweet, and she has good content! I wish she would try consistent relaxing instead, I just want the best for her, her hair, and her channel!
Stretching is unnecessary period. Relaxing is a chemical process like bleaching or lifting hair. There is NOTHING besides a barrier product like conditioner, grease, etc. that could stop potential damage from occurring. You are breaking the protein bonds of the hair regardless. That is why it doesn't matter whether you relax 3 inches or 6. It's the SAME process and risk. If most people knew the benefits of using mild professional relaxers, you could safely relax as much as once per month without issue. But people use these box relaxers that relax bone straight and then stretch because they think it's stopping damage but really the further along you keep from doing a retouch, the greater the risk of the hair breaking off at the line of demarcation.
Michelle Denise it's just that not everyone has as much new growth to relax at 4- 6 weeks...... u would then be over processing your previously relaxed hair that would result in a lot of breakage and thinning.
+osimeon00 you are so right about the type of relaxer! I stopped using box relaxers and switch to a mild lye relaxer ( design essential lo lye) and my hair comes out perfectly texlaxed very thick and full now and as long as you are not overlapping your relaxer it's ok to relax every couple months
Michelle Denise i stop relaxing my hair going on 4 years now i started using it's a 10 and im experiencing alot of shedding my hair is still long but could it be it's a 10 im gonna stop using it tho

can i roller set the girls hair if they dont have relaxers?
Tina Washington heeyyyy. yes I'm sure you can. I would just use more setting lotion to help smooth the hair😊
