I definitely have to give you a A+ just for the fact that you tried this and showed everyone exactly the way your hair responded on damp hair. No one can fault you for that, for sure! No judgment here at all. This was exactly how all U-Tubers should be showing how any product works on their hair, the true outcome. Thank you for sharing. I for one appreciate your efforts and the outcome.
Thank you!!! I’m always willing to share my real experience, and I’ll never claim to know everything. I’m just a girl still learning her hair. But I really appreciate these type of comments and encouragement, so thank you again
I used to go to a salon that specializes in roller sets on natural hair. If the hair is 4c tightly coiled, the hair must be sopping wet and you have to use the wrap lotion sparingly. You have to use a fine tooth comb to smooth the roots and get out all tangles. It will be pretty silky in the end, but the roots will be a bit crunchy. Another option is to braid or twist the roots about 1/3 of the way and then roll the hair.
Okay. Ima retry it at home. I have tightly coiled hair and it turned out like hers when I tried to wrap it. And it was hard to comb through my hair because my hair was kinda crunchy.
Try skipping the mouse and just use a moisturizing leave-in conditioner. I would also suggest wetting the hair a bit more before rolling. Lastly, try hourglass rollers. I think they work best for our hair to keep the tension as the hair dries. Other than that, I think you did everything right. The roller placement...perfect. The tension...perfect.
This kind of inspired me to try a roller set on my natural hair when I get a new hooded dryer. I like big girls so I probably would not have combed them out to do a wrap. Maybe just rake comb or finger style, then let the curls fall naturally over time. You’re beautiful, though, and your roller placement was awesome.
😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅 I'm sorry but the look on your face when it didn't work at the end had me laughing out loud and hollering 🤣 😂 😆 😂 😆 Thanks for the comic relief 😅😂 but I"m gonna try that gansta wrap. I learned something new. Keep it up.😊
Heyy Knotty 🤗 I knew this was gonna be a popping roller set. OMG the curls left ugggg. Definitely try it again on blow out hair. I definitely want to try this on my hair as well. Awesome video. I'm a new curlfriend and new subbie ❤
Roller set. Finger or pick curls to shape and then at night use satin flexi rods and bonnet to maintain the curl. I never wrap a roller set unless i go in with a flat iron after roller take down.
next time you do your roller set just comb it with your fingers to style and rock your curls. You can do a mohawk or any other cute style that's curly! Your hair is beautiful.
I know…..I was a little sad at how it turned out but, it was my first time EVER doing it. It was so much fun to try something different and I’m sure it’ll get better as I try. Good luck! 💛
It wasn’t a bad roller set you just didn’t know how you wanted it to flow lol. I definitely would’ve just separated the big curls on top and in the back. No combing just separate
When you take the rollers out don’t come the curls out, use your fingers to separate the curls, that’s what I have seen done in other roller set videos. Other than that I think you did a good job.
Is it just me or did anybody else actually LOVES the outcome? I mean the curls looked BOMB
Agree.
Yes
Thank you! I loved the curls too. Hopefully I can figure out how to make it last

Thank you for these tips!!! Everyone else was saying just don’t comb it. I might try braiding the roots
What city and state ?
Did they use tension rollers?
I appreciate you showing us the "imperfect" results. Thanks for taking one for the team!
I liked the curls before you brushed it out. Very retro and pretty when you took out the curlers!
Thank you!!! I loved it too, it’s definitely the look I was going for

📝 I’m taking notes! Thanks so much for the tips! 🤗
Can’t believe it was first time. 👏 Great Job. I’m going in
Thank you!!!!

Nooo, my jaw dropped when I saw the curls left!!
Heyy Knotty 🤗

Welcome!!! 🤗 I definitely wanna try this again, I'm thinking about trying it on an old silk press but we'll see!
I've been waiting for someone to review this product! Thanks for sharing!
You did a great job for your first time! It's adhered to the roller. Lol
After watching this I want to try it on myself. I like curly big hair so I won't be coming out or brushing out the curls. I will just separate.

I appreciate you sharing this video with us and your honesty!!!! Thanks ❣️
You did a great job, I enjoyes watching your video.
🥰🥰 thank you so much!
Your curls were beautiful!❤
Thank you! 🫶🏾
This same thing happened to me. I tried to wrap my hair after taking down the rollers and it looked exactly like yours. Idk what went wrong either.
Everyone has said that you’re not supposed to comb it 🤷🏾♀️
I roller set my 4c hair the first time a few weeks ago using water only and loved it!
How long did it last???
@@pragooutube about a week, after that I put it in a ponytail.
Did you wrap it afterwards?

Thank you!!!
Never comb out a roller set. Separate only.
So what am I supposed to do to it at night?
@@HeyKnottyGirlthis is the question I always have that doesn't get answered 😫 and I go to the gym everyday! 😞
@@arinika90 yeah I’ve just come to the conclusion that a roller set isn’t for me. My hair is going to revert 😫
@@HeyKnottyGirl pin curl it
I would say a really good trim is needed. My wraps used to look like that before I got the dead ends trimmed.
Oh no. The curls were so cute.
I know…..I was a little sad at how it turned out but, it was my first time EVER doing it. It was so much fun to try something different and I’m sure it’ll get better as I try. Good luck! 💛
You should press the roots only and then pin curl since the ends are already straight and curls just make sure you use a heat safe product
Thank you! I’ll keep that in mind for next time because I really do wanna try again 💛
Try a ponytail roller set! It will stretch your roots better and you might be able to wrap it after😊
Get you a set of tension rollers! They grip your hair & shorten drying time. Try setting your hair with a leave in conditioner.
I’m taking notes! I can’t wait to try this again. Thank you!!!
Maybe tension rollers?
If you had not combed the curls out i think it would have been a success. It looked good until you combed fhe curls in out.
lol….thanks!!!
@@HeyKnottyGirlthinking about it pin curls might have been best to preserve. Looking to try this myself when I take down my faux locks

Thank you! I was pretty proud of it, being my first time

Thank you! Lesson learned! 🤭
Girl I know!
😂😂😂😂😂
Uso até hj bobs no cabelo além de hidratar diminui muito o ressecado e a quebra dos fios.
You tried. It will be better next time. It was all good with the curls until the combout.
I let mine dry overnight.
Just needed some serum
Do you have a serum you suggest. I have a couple in my stash but I’m always looking for options
You should try to curl your hair under instead of over if that makes sense 😊
Yeah I rolled a few up (I saw that in a video I watched 🤭) but thanks for the tip!
How meny packs did you get my hair is the same length so gives me a idea of how meny packs what did you put in before rollers
