I had a hair dresser tell me that my hair is too fine and too “spongey” for a roller set. But my mom was always able to do it. 🤷🏽♀️ Thank you for posting this. I struggle with you. You still look great!
I enjoyed your journey with this roller set which turned out beautiful! Keep on the journey to mastery of your fine, natural hair! You rockin' that style!
The hair is nice and shiny !✨️ You did very well. You look like a pin-up model with your hair like that. Keep practicing. Roller sets are good for your hair.
Your hair looks adorable! Yes, a definite 70's vibe. Yes Lotta Body is great. I also remember using Infusium 23. That was my holy grail when my hair was relaxed. 😅
Next time try combining it out and wrapping it then tie it down with s satin scarf. Then set under the hooded dryer for about 10 minutes when you unwrap it will still have curls and body but will lay down better with less frizz. Some use a flat iron only on the roots that are exposed but you don’t have to…just some tips. But it’s beautiful the way it is as well 😊
You have a beautiful head of hair. 😊 You did an awesome roller set. I love it. 💜 You gave me confidence to keep trying to perfect my perm rod/roller sets. ☺
All smiles. Thanks for sharing your process. Perfect practice AND Prayer makes perfect. My roller sets are improved when I ensure my strands are very wet, detangled, and taut. Looking to wet set my coils soon in order to dust/trim my ends. May dust off my CurlFormers. Be well.
I think you did a good job. Based on how it looked when you took your bonnet off in the morning, I would wager that it may not have been completely dry when you took the Rollers down. Lotta body can actually make you think it's dry when it isn't. I would also suggest pin Curls on top of your head with scarf or bonnet to sleep instead of a pineapple. They will help maintain the curl.
You are so beautiful and pleasant. Considering trying a roller set soon & I truly enjoyed watching this and I think I'm inspired enough to try it myself. Lovely results! Thank you miss! ❤
Rock It. It's REAL. Good job. I just got a wet set for the 1st time. And I feel I can do it myself. It's something you have to get used to but I believe it's going to work. Just gotta play with it and invent the Beauty. SMILE & ENJOY..Nothing wrong with New beginnings.
Always use setting foam for roller setting natural hair, after shampoo and deep conditioner. Use a spray heat protector after you put all the rollers in, then dry.
I just found your channel and I absolutely love this. You put every emotion I have when I'm doing my hair together in this one video lol😂😂😂. Sometimes I feel like I've been in a fight trying to get my hair to respond and become what I see in my head...😅 You look absolutely beautiful. You did an amazing job. Sometimes you have to go back and pull out the lottabody!!! New subscriber here! Hellooooo

Your Curls are gorgeous I feel you I've on struggling with doing better on certain curly hair style methods I suck at rollers and with getting more definition at my roots I used to flat iron my 3 a 3 b 3 c Curls through out Highschool and my early 20s didn't start learning how to take care of my curly hair til 2017 I'll be 30 in April and the struggle is real still challenging but my Curls are in a lot better health now you have gorgeous curls
Thank you 😊. Yes the struggle is real! That’s awesome that you learned how to take care of your hair now. I wish I knew and understood my hair back in my 30’s or 20’s lol. But it’s never too late to learn.
@StarChild1109 I feel you a hard roller set I can't sleep on I've slept on the foam rollers before I'm Highschool I need to get me a foam roller set and try some flexi rods I hate sitting under heated driers as well they're so uncomfortable I only sit under them at the salon now when I get a Malibu Treatment and deep conditioning treatmentz mainly for my scalp conditions I don't get the done to often though sense they're pretty expensive
I have been doing this for decades. The key for me is to leave the curlers in overnight. Uncomfortable, but the curls stay until the next wash day without friz!
@@yolonaturally If you can’t sleep in them, try starting early in the day. Once the Hour and a half is up, turn the dryer to the coolest setting for about 10 minutes, then leave the curlers in for the rest of the day to let the curls completely cool and set. See if that helps. Good luck.
If my hair is still damp, I'm NOT going to take down all that work. I simply tie up with a large pretty scarf & go about my daily chores if I have to get up & out the door. Put on sunglasses, lol. Movie star mode.
Girl, this looks awesome! I need to know where did you get those roller sets? I grew up with having my hair straighten with a roller set first then blow dry. I still have a dryer and want to use them again but I suck at getting my hair on rollers with hair pins
You did a Great Job , they came out beautiful yeeess!! You go girl!! 👌🏾👌🏾🙏🏾🥰🌺 P.S. just make sure you don't put your curls around any humidity! Because if you do they will clamp and go down ASAP!!
You had it, you were just scared 🤣 do the same roller set (you could add the Lotta Body to the water so its not so concentrated and crunchy when dried). Let your hair fully fully dry. Comb through your hair and wrap the hair around your head to loosen the curls if wanted, Wrap and scarf at night. Yes put a little oil on your hands when you loose the curls. You will be very Happy with the results.
And don’t forget the put Saran Wrap over your hair after you wrap it, sit under the dryer for 15 minutes and then either style or put on scarf and go to bed. Also when doing the roller set, the larger the rollers the bigger the curls (or straighter the hair).
@@chal3t Truly! I did my hair like this for yearssss.....🤣🤣🤣 Just make sure its dry. At night wrap and a scarf. If the curls get too loose, dry roll with no product or water. This will hold until your next wash. Oh, I hit them roots with a little straightening comb 🤣🤣Before I comb thru the lightly crunchy curls.
🌴🇵🇷 Hi girl I watch your video I appreciate that you did your video and doing the roller set cuz I'm about to do something like that with mines my hair is natural also too and it's very long I never put any chemicals on it and I never put any hot curlers on it so I would like to know the product to spray that you use again that needs to be advertised a little hopefully that'll work I don't put a lot of things on my hair I try to keep it as natural as I can I do wash it leave it leave a condition and I also twisted I live in the 🏝️ island where is very hot and basically I don't do too much on on my hair so thank you again for making your video 🙋🏽♀️
I love tropical weather but that humidity is something else lol. Lottabody is great for roller sets and should hold up for a few days in humid weather if you set your hair just right. I’m still learning but I’m getting better. Thanks so much for watching 😊
What happened in the beginning is exactly what happens to my hair. It looks great then it frizzes like nobody’s business. It’s better if I leave it alone slicked back and put it in a ponytail with leave in but that is sooo boring
Except that if you are in hot humid climates, reversion WILL happen. There are allegedly some products out there that you can spray in for anti-frizz, repel humidity changes, just haven't invested in them yet to see what works. I grew weary of wash & gos, & the 80% shrinkage factor, no respect! 😅
You were supposed to shake those curls and not pick them apart!!! They were beautiful and silky prior to the end results. When you said you couldn't go outside with your hair like that, it was actually beautiful! You only needed to fix the back to remove the huge part that showing. Next time try it that that and tame your edges just as you did. ❤
