I think back to that time and i was petrified and i can remember how scared I felt as a child. I felt that it was like a real life boogyman. Although i lived in another state i felt like all children were not safe and anyone could be next. When they caught wayne williams. I felt such a relief but i was always fearful. And too this day it is still hard for me to wrap my head around 30 children lives being taken.

I went to Atlanta public schools, and during a track meet at Lakewood stadium, as i was warning up to compete i heard and saw two black kids running and yelling"here cones wayne Williams, he killed ???? & ????" I went to Atlanta public schools, and during a track meet at Lakewood stadium, as i was warning up to compete i heard and saw two black kids running and yelling"here cones wayne Williams, he killed ???? & ????" ( can't remember names). Later that day I came face to face with Wayne Williams. All i could think of was the he better get out of my face, he turned around and walked off. I didn't think about it afterwards . When the police arrested him i knew i'd seen and heard of his name and recognized his face before, that was him at Lakewood. He was charged and the killings stopped. They think his father " Homer" was the lovers lane killer that would shoot couple as they were it their cars in the parks along mlk jr dr.
