Strange how the kidnappings stopped once Wayne was arrested.
Bandit Keith the murders never stopped, they were still killing, they never mentioned it as much. I know bc I lived in Atlanta back then.
What makes you think kidnapping and killing Black kids in Atlanta stopped when Williams was arrested ? The killings never stopped they just slowed and stopped getting so much attention adding some strength to the Williams Being guilty theory . But its a pretty big south down there. And the kidnapping and killing of black kids never stopped in Atlanta, they did briefly and then resumed just at a more moderate pace. They were intelligent enough to get away with it in Atlanta and pin it on Williams. Why was Williams never tried for the child killings if he was truly the leading suspect based upon physical evidence ? Its not just possible but very probable that some ranking Police and local politicians are themselves connected to the Klan. I doubt the Klan decided one day that its members should stop being in control of law enforcement and policy in the south because it was no longer good for Klan crime coverups to have klansmen actually covering up their crimes . No there is definitely more evidence suggesting a coverup than there is ever going to be linking Williams to the killings !
Also, it is not clear that the victims were kidnapped. In most cases, evidence suggests otherwise.
He did it for sure all evidence points to yes.They can’t fully link him to all kid victims but they can link him to the last 2 victims witch were killed the same way as the kids were killed.

Adam Clements You folk’s with your “googling.” Read some books, why don’t you. There is NO evidence that Williams murdered anyone. I followed this case as it unfolded. I have researched actual trial transcripts and read just about every published work on the case. I don’t claim to know everything about everything, but this case has been an interest of mine for four decades. The only evidence linking Williams to the murders is circumstantial and its significance is highly exaggerated.
Dog hair found on several of the bodies matched Williams’ dog through DNA testing. This was in 2019. The man is guilty.
So you've never considered the fact that the police can plant whatever evidence they want on someone and make it look like they're guilty

It was mitochondrial DNA. It didn’t match any specific dog, but it was DNA that along with one in 100 dogs was also found inside of Williams dog. Not exactly helpful to Williams case it’s still not definitive or conclusive. I find it more interesting that DNA taken from the crime scene of one victim matched 29 out of over 1000 people in the FBI database, one of those 29 being Wayne Williams

Wayne said he was crossing that bridge that night,when the police heard a splash in the river,to go see a lady named Cheryl Johnson for a singing audition. According to the police this lady doesn't exist.

Had someone else committed these murders and the police knew, they would have to arrest that person to keep them from continuing killing.
Truth be told, I wouldn't rely upon the Atlanta Police Department's word on anything the way they behaved like listless, Keystone Cops in bungling every possible lead while ignoring known pedophiles who were intimately involved with several child murder victims. This was much larger than an awkward, eccentric, spoiled 22 year old who was a convenient patsy in this. Fiber evidence cannot even convict a person today and those trilobal fibers were not "rare" at all. They were found throughout the seedy motel off of Stewart and those carpets were never introduced as evidence in court.

New DNA testing just proved he was the killer.
I can't find this information in my research. Every article I have found,states that the evidence is out for DNA testing,but no results are given. I would appreciate if you could leave a comment,and let me know where you found this. I always believed, Williams was guilty,not of all the murders,but of at least 12 of them.... J.m.h.o.

There were 3 people that saw the man who went over the bridge the next day. So he had to go back after being stop and throw a 6 ft 180 lb man over the next day. One of the little juys that were killed and put by a dumpster had one of these fibers on him. But e witness seen him being raped and killed at a laundromat. They took him off the list. Put him back on after Wayne convicted. The man that did tbat was accused died in prison later. I think he went for raping a kid.

Yes, they did. The stranglings stopped. His DNA matched the DNA on multiple victims. The fibers matched. The dog hair matched. He was pulled over while dumping a body off a bridge. It all matched. The man did it.

And it being based on real events and individuals - the ending suggests there are many more potential victims and perpetrators. So Williams was most likely a perpetrator but served as the fall guy for the other perpetrators who got more discreet after the conviction.
And also aware of the new methods of the FBI. The show mentions that cops kept silent about other perpetrators they knew about.
Just use common sense

A person wrongly convicted of murdering dozens of children would rage, be extremely desperate, cry and weep. Williams however never even flinched. Every interrogator will tell you that guilty people tend over overexplain themselves. That is all he does. He never mentions one iota of remorse for the kid’s death. A regular guy would be shocked or saddened. Williams however talks about himself exclusively. Instead, he basically said they had it coming being out unsupervised.
He claims to be a talent scout, he claims to be a secret agent and hitman. It is clear he is a pathological liar. Now, that is no evidence for all of the cases, but it sure is good he is locked up. Fibres, eye-witnesses, lied about the car, and they found his DNA on victims, it’s a done deal.

The simple fact is that the “evidence” supporting Wayne Williams’ (no relation) guilt is far, far from overwhelming. I’ve studied the Atlanta murders from the time that they were occurring. (This case had the same impact on me as the Emmit Till lynching had on my parents’ generation. My father was the same age as Till, just as I was the same age of many of the Atlanta victims.) I’ve read multiple books, articles, court transcripts, and judicial summaries. What have you read?

In fact, before and after Williams’ arrest there were dozens of unsolved cases of murdered and missing African Americans who fit the demographics of those others who were never counted. Secondly, to say that the composite sketch was “NO DOUBT Williams” is an overstatement. Note that all the eyewitnesses identifications of Williams came after his emergence as a suspect. It is quite possible, likely even, that Williams interacted with victims and/or perpetrators of these crimes, but nothing substantially proving his involvement with any murder. Nevertheless, these are great questions/points that you bring up.

Nah Willams is definitely guilty of some of the murders and evidence has mounted over the years. He absolutely did the two murders he was convicted of and DNA evidence links him to several more. The killings stopped after he was arrested as well. A family member of one of the murdered children also remembered Williams talking to them not long before the murder.
The question is whether all the cases are linked and if he did them all. Because if he didn't then someone got away with at least some murders.
Williams is 100% guilty of murder but its not certain how many.

You know a lot about this case, I have read some of posts that you have posted, and from my readings of the case you know your stuff. WW was railroaded and framed, I just don't know if he is completely innocent. With a few of the kids I think he took kids to the people who eventually killed them. Greenkidd Not true. There is no actual proof that he killed anyone. He was convicted of killing two adults. Being convicted of a crime is not synonymous with being proven guilty. Read a summation of the evidence against Williams; it is far from conclusive.

Matthew Miller No, my friend, these were not “exact matches.” Dog hairs found were “consistent with” or “similar to” the hairs of the dog. Even the genetic match done on one of the cases recently was not conclusive. They did not match with his dog to the exclusion of all others. The fiber matches as well were described as “similar to” or “consistent with” by the prosecution’s experts. That is far from scientific certainty. Moreover, ten of the victims were chosen to be the so-called “pattern cases” to introduce fiber evidence in the trial. Mind you, Williams was not charged with, much less proven to have killed these ten individuals. The prosecution did not include all of the victims with the “matching” fibers in “pattern cases.” This was deliberate as to do so would work against their case. Clifford Jones body contained “matching” fibers. In his case, there were eyewitnesses who clearly implicated another known suspect. The prosecution would not be able to explain why one victim had the fibers but clearly another perpetrator. One other flaw in the fiber argument is that the prosecution could only argue that the fibers found on the bodies were similar to fibers in the Williams environment. They did not and could not argue that any of the fibers associated with the victims or their environment were in Williams’ environment. It defies logic that one would pick up fibers from an environment and not leave any at all. Absolutely no evidence of any victims was found in any of Wayne Williams’ environment. Check out a documentary series on Netflix called EXHIBIT A. It does not deal specifically with the Atlanta case, but it brings into question many of the things passed on as “scientific evidence” in criminal cases.
He still got convicted for killing those 2 men. I mean the fibers matched, the hairs from the dog matched. He's never getting out when it comes to those two killings.

There was never any Solid connection or physical evidence that linked Williams to any victims. There was fiber evidence and dog hair said to be " consistant " with hair and fibers of the types that can be found in Williams vehicle and home . But there was never any actual Matching of any fibers or dog hair found on any victim to any samples taken from Williams home or vehicle. They were " Similar to and consistant with " examples taken for comparison .....its all in the wording . Had their been a exact match of fibers or animal hairs taken from a victims body with samples taken from Williams home or vehicle then the testimony and court record would have the words "Identical match" , " Match Perfectly" or "Perfect match" . " Similar to " does not mean they match at all but its a great way to mislead a Jury into thinking you are testifying that the evidence matches the samples taken for comparison when in fact they do not match and are just simply similar in color or construct but are not actually indentical or even alike in other ways while being alike some different ways ...like colors are the same or similar but construct of fiber is different but the testimony can be
" consistant with " the sample fibers taken from the suspects home or car. Just means similar color or other feature. Its misleading and a tactic used constantly at criminal trials and unless a defense attorney makes the witness get absolutely specific on cross examination the jury can be left thinking incorrectly that the testimony was the collected samples being compared were a match and evidence of guilt . I am a white male adult and I believe this man completely. Its plausible as well as being probable if one has ever paid any attention to the racism that exists and will continue to exist between the different races in America. More specifically the racism that is demonstrated by some white Americans and some black Americans in the USA. Especially in the south. Its horribly tragic and incredibly disturbing irregardless of the color or colors of the killer or killers . The supposed motive Williams is supposed to have had according to investigators and reported in the media is stretch of ones imagination . Much more plausible and by far much more probable was the killer or killers were a Caucasion Male or a pair of Caucasion Males , maybe even more than a pair. And the killer or killers were part of a white supremacy group or followers. But Williams as the killer just doesnt feel , sound or tast right to me.
@Theandre Kimbrough , There is a lot of interest in the case by some very influentual legal and scientific professionals . In fact there exist more evidence pointing to Williams being uninvolved than there will ever be of his involvement . I am a legal professional and have studied the homicide case he is convicted of as well as the child killings and can confidently say reasonable doubt of his guilt could easily have been established by competent defense council. And there is no material or scientific evidence actually linking Williams to any killings . There is some testimony regarding his involvement in the case he was convicted of but like the k9 hair and carpet fiber evidence it could have been challenged better and forced to more scrutiny . Reasonable doubt has been there the whole time . A competent as well as professional defense council would have destroyed the case without the bias and urgency to convict someone simply due to pressure to solve. Its just another example of corruption. Had a white man been arrested and put on trial it may have set that powder keg off. Its disgusting and almost a certainty that the killer or killers were actually white. Angers me and I am white

That says it all in reality and if Justice were ever to have been the primary goal of the american judicial system there would be the legal english language dictionary not one of each and with so many different meanings and definition descriptions for so many of the same words in both .
