I don’t know why but I just love the character holocaust. I mean in someways, you would consider him on almost the same footing as his father. And I feel like it’s a crime that we don’t have him in the new Jonathan Hickman style X-Men stories. Seriously how interesting would it be if holocaust was out of the loop because of time displacement just to find out that his father has actually joined up with basically the X-Men to create a paradise for all mutants! Imagine the feeling of betrayal and confusion. His father who was so hell-bent on survival of the fittest now is part of a self indulging separatist nation….that’s full of arguably submissive and weak mutants? Also how would you think he would react to find out that his dad is hanging out with his first wife and his first kids….. what kind of awkward family reunion do you think would happen?!?…. Just thinking about that alone makes me wanna see that in the book even more!

Thank you for making this video. While I have all of the AoA books that explain the Nemesis/Holocaust origins, it was always hard to find the origins online. What I don't understand though, is that in the 616 universe, during the _Dark Angel Saga_ of X-Force, there's a version of him that's a teenager and explains that he's the son of Apocalypse and the horseman Famine. But he's already in a version of the armor and there's no reference to him having a human form the way Nemesis once had in the 295/AoA timeline.
My guesses is that ever since his mom broke off contact from her former Master and Lover, Holocaust or more specifically William Rolfson, a.k.a. Genocide was not given the same guidance and upbringing as his Age of Apocalypse counterpart and lost control of his powers when they were developing, and cause his body to burn away, hence why he's in the armour earlier. Seeing as that version of the character seems to have never met his father it's likely that this happened. Also Genocide's armour is more metallic and cybernetic incomparison to the more crystalline armour of Holocaust.
