I fast and it is really good for you. Good job sharing. People with arthritis if you fast within 2 days you notice a difference in pain. I am speaking from personal experience.

Good way to start fasting for someone who never done it before is to do it mostly throughout evening and night. So for e.g you can have your last meal at 6pm and then have your breakfast , let's say at 8am. This way you can easily have 14 hours of fasting.

That's an awesome tip! Thank you for sharing 😊 Now it has me thinking of extreme - imagine if we could sleep through a week long fast? haha gettin' it done efficiently. 😅

Your channel popped up in my feed. You have a great sense of humor. Funny thing, I am at about 24 hrs on a 72 hour fast . I am trying to get over a flu that is still lingering after 2 weeks, I am hoping my body will do it's autophagy thing, so I can feel better. My longest fast was 9 days. Anyway, I enjoyed your commentary and I will subscribe 😊

Thank you for watching - I really appreciate it 😊🙏 (also, your 9 day fast record is blowing my mind right now! haha!)

Really interesting video and how your body responded differently the longer you fasted. Great experiment to undertake especially if there are long term positives

Where is the recipe for those Polish cabbage rolls????

    • @AussieGem
      @AussieGem  2 месяца назад

Good Q! In hindsight I should have added it to the video! 😅 I used:
🥬 1 large head of cabbage
      🫒 1 Tablespoon olive oil
      🧅 1 cup diced onion
      🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
      🥩 500g minced beef
🍚 3/4 cup uncooked rice (brown or white)
🌿 1/4 cup chopped parsley (or other herb you like)
      🍅 1 cup tomatoes / tomato puree / passata
      🧂 1 1/2 teaspoons salt & pepper to taste
🥣 3/4 cup liquid (eg. beef stock, cabbage water)
A good recipe to use as a base (which can be modified to be vego etc), is here: www.everydayhealthyrecipes.com/polish-stuffed-cabbage-rolls-golabki-tomato-sauce
🍴 Enjoy with glee to break the fast! 🍲 😍

you have to gave a high tolerance for discomfort to live in Sydney lol....during lockdowns here in Melbourne I was cooking and eating for a family of 4 every night, habits Ive had to unlearn, Ive never used food as an anxiety medicine before....now I never eat before gym and after gym i try and wait as long as i can before i eat

haha love your joke! Sydney living is one of a kind...lol. Ahh that's so interesting about the impact of lockdowns on eating too - thank you for sharing this. Adjusting to find ways to improve brings out the creativity - I like your idea of keeping a 'gym bubble no-food' zone! Thank you for watching and sharing here Chris! 🙂Hope you have a good week, and wishing you continued good health!
