- This is the Greatest JW Study of all time. Have you ever wondered why Jehovah's witnesses are so arrogant? If you were a a member of the Watchtower do you remember the importance of studying? Join me as we laugh and learn about JW's and Study.

On point! When I finally walked away in the 80s, I told one of my siblings that I could predict the ideas and supporting scriptures in every article written by the society. It became clear that there was nothing new to learn after growing up in that organization, even the phraseology and terminology were predictable. The meetings painfully emphasized the monotony of it all.
I was invited to a meeting of JW and I was shocked that they just read the Watchtower and give the answer 1:1 like it’s written down, that was for me a big red flag.
we ask the questions and then give you the answer and if you have questions about our answers you can research in our books to get the truth. Nope not suspicious at all!
I was also invited to a meeting by a work colleague, and whilst everyone was very welcoming I also quickly picked up that they were just reading and answering questions from the Watchtower magazine and the ‘answers’ were really just parroting what was written. I was already very well aware of the JWs when I went and this type of Q&A just reinforced what I had learned about the organisation.
I was the first person ...the first .....to start using a yellow florescent marker on every publication including my service bible .....I was criticized dozens of times ....then a few years down the road ,everyone was doing it ....It's a huge time saver ...no more ruler and pen !.....I found time to feed my turtle 🐢

You underline under your answer or important Bible verse. To not mark over the letters and keep it neat used a ruler.
@@spartan_warrior5927 A highlighter is done over the answer ,because it is see thru ....I used green ,and orange also for more dilineation ....I commented at least ten to es at every meeting ....I've got a system .....I comment fifty times a day on uTube ....It's what I do !
Seriously, my older sister whom I was living with back in 1966 was using yellow highlighters in her study books
Independent Bible study was what led me away from the Watchtower. I had absolutely no problem with checking other books and reading the Bible for itself in a plethora of translations. I also remember when they quoted William Barclay to make it sound like he was denying the Trinity. He demanded, and got a retraction. That was one more little thing that led me on the path to freedom.
Off topic but I've realized that the fact I'd lived 62 yrs b4 the JW indoctrination is why I never went fully under the spell. I already knew "the world" wasn't as they taught. Plus, study and research were part of my career background so I got bored with the GBORG publications pretty quickly. I also don't like being told what to do😂😂
Yeah I can't imagine being very interested in their version of study if you join as an adult.
Aha, bingo! I could never quite figure out what was wrong with the method of “study” used by the JWs. It isn’t study at all, it’s review. They teach you their beliefs and then go over it again and again; lather, rinse, repeat; lather, rinse, repeat.

Technical difficulties aside, this was a great video. I've done the "Zorro Study" many times, especially as I got so many extra responsibilities in the organization. Who has time to read the same stuff over again?
I had a similar experience like when you shared Richard Dawkins with your dad. I tried to share info with my sister from some science videos funded by Christian groups that seemed to reconcile the Bible with science. (Back when I was still struggling to cling to theism.) Their ideas were the same as Watchtower's. But she rejected it because it wasn't from Watchtower. Very distributing.
another funny way to do the same thing is read something from another Christian Website and tell them that it is from WT and then after you make 10 points that they agree with tell them it was all from the 7th day Adventist. I probably did not explain that well but the method will demonstrated in a upcoming video

They are one of the few religions that fear reading the bible for themselves. The witnesses are continuously spoon-fed doctrine, so they're left with no room for reflection. Sad but true
I never even READ the paragraphs.Whatever sentence my eyes landed on, that's where I started highlighting/underlining.Didn't care if it had/hadn't anything to do with the answer.🙄

Wow! That's funny Wally... in the early eighties, we used to have a group of "young ones " I was the youngest, they were all 18 and 20 years old and I was 13... studying 📖 the watchtower together... it didn't last long. And we didn't study our watchtowers as much...

As I often say and comment to friends and family theh reading the WT and regurgitating a parrot answer at the KH zoom meeting, is not showing that you study. I have now limited the amount of time I spent reading the WT literature, and devote my personal study time to read the Bible and disect whatever projescts I am working on.
Also, I like to compliment Wolly for the excellent video skills 'they' are developing. Hopefully more people will subscribe and support you. Q: you mentioned the plural pronoun "we", when referring to the editing and making of videos. Are there others behind the scene or you refer to yourself as they/them?
I am a non fundamentalist JW. I believe, but not the whole story ..... I encourage all who still believe to read the Bible first, then the WT' s literature.
I was a professional just underliner....second line plus a few lines and the last three lines. The other rule for me was....underline in the middle of the paragraph, throw a couple of scribble on the side with a line going to a scripture! I never read a bit of that crap....well I definitely, when I was a young child was the YPA book I read through and through....the rest was invisible to me.
I did the same thing. There was a time when I tried to really study and the info was so boring. That’s because it never made sense to me, cause none of it makes sense period!
Lol my kids used to call the old blue evolution book “the head book” bcs it had a head on spine of book. I think The Blind Watchmaker by Dawkins was the 1st book I read when I exited the cult.

I loved marking all over my watchtower before Sunday. I'd just mark random spots. For self humor purposes I'd write really small comments such as "fuck my life, the bronco's are gonna win today, and "I wrote this on here for no reason but only Jah knows".🤷♂️
Yeah I remember thinking when new books were released, " Wow these margins are to small to make notes." None of my self notes were as funny as yours though.

The tree of life may not have been seen by Adam and Eve, only the tree of the knowledge of good and bad. Just as they had not noticed that they were un-clothed. My explanation of above verse
Islam mean > submission < to God
( The above verse saying is that God will not accept a religion from the > MUSLIM < and the Non-Muslims but total > submission < to God.)
Question: How Can Muslim And the > Non-Muslim < > submit < to the God ?

The > BASIC < message of God to the human is that '' YOU '' believe in God and be kind to other human beings / > animals < and in the > RETURNED < God will > REWARD < you with a new life in Paradise.
* The Quran ONLY guides you how to become a good human being " Nothing Else ".
* You are a good human being or a bad human being that is YOUR choice.
* No one can force you to become a good human being.
* You MUST work HARD to become a good human being.
* Why should '' YOU '' do good deeds and avoid bad deeds?
* Do Good - it's for You. Do Bad - It's against you.
* '' YOUR '' life is a TEST from God that you will choose to do either Good or Bad.
* Find the excuse to help others and forgive others NOT the other way around.
* '' YOUR '' final destination is either Hell or Heaven.
* So work HARD toward choice of YOUR destination.

How people fall for religious bullshit baffles my brain. I fell for this this shit for 33 years and I taught religious bullshit (Presbyterian) for 23 years an “ordained minister,” and for the life of me I can’t understand how I could be so gullible and stupid.
