"Because I said so". God it reminds me of my childhood. Sorry Connor, but it's impossible to win against parents. Especielly if your parent is Haytham.

He possessed the same noble qualities as Edward and even exacted revenge on the man who mentored him, but turned out to be the one who ordered the murder of his father and the abduction of his sister. He wished to unite both Templars and Assassins before giving up because it was basically impossible, an ideal that was later passed down onto his son, however Connor did not wish to give up.
I always find Connor complaining to his father about killing all their captive guards in the game so hilarious. Because first off, how many random redcoats has Connor sent to the shadow realm himself, and bro he is literally an assassin. Haytham is more of an assassin than Connor most times, Altaïr used to do the same thing.
My first playthrough I didn't want to kill Haytham. So much so that I stopped playing it and tried to find ways to avoid killing him for weeks that even turned to months. And when the moment finally had come, I did the deed with a heavy heart.
TheMegaUzumaki They were hypocrites for practicing what they believe in? Even the AC wikia page describes them as the most benevolent rite to have ever existed. Aside from Braddock and other Templars like him. Haytham took care of these bastards by killing them.
@TheMegaUzumaki Haytham surely had an explanation as to why he killed Birch. Otherwise his own Order might have hunted him down and of course he must've explained why he did it. How else did Christopher Gist knew his father was an Assassin? Birch's only concern were precursor artifacts and sites. If you've read the book forsaken they have often gotten into arguments on whether or not they should pursue their ideals or things from the past. And of course keeping Haytham from the truth. That he was the one who sent mercenaries to attack his house. So I would say killing him is justified. As for Braddock, Braddock wasn't exactly like Birch in my opinion but he was worse since he became so bloodthirsty. And Haytham did what he had to. After he discovered the truth about his father. And finally getting back on the man that ruined him, what happened next was entirely up to him. What happened in the past didn't matter since he has already made amends. Birch was finally dead. His father avenged. And his sister safe again, even though she kept her distance towards him, for obvious reasons. Yes he lied to his son, but only because he probably knew that he might not believe him since Connor is so convinced that he was siding with right men. We all know what George and his patriots did after the revolution. And he was the one who set Connor's village on fire. Just because you say he used the same methods Birch did doesn't mean his intentions were selfish or cruel.
I really would love a spin-off of Connor and Haytham. Instead of ending with Haytham dying by Connor's hands, just make it a series of how an Assassin and a Templar understand each other. Bloodline and Unity did but those were love story. This would make it more interesting since it's father and son.
6:02 I swear, Haytham and Shaun would get along so well. Had they been contemporaries, their shared love for sarcasm would have been the key to the peace between Assassins and Templars😂
I know the Ezio Trilogy gets a lot of the love when it comes to the early, but the Kenway Trilogy (I count Rouge as part of the Trilogy) was probably my favorite story arc in Assasins Crews.
I definitely agree that Rogue is a part of the Kenway story arc I mean it has to be, we see how Haytham and Shay destroyed Achilles' brotherhood and placed him in the state hes in when he meets Connor And it sjows the end of Adewale's story
and he actually was horriefed to hear what happen to connor's village and his mother. he dismissed the action as vile and evil. it proves that not all templars are evil they're just mis guided.
2:42 altaïr would say otherwise. from the first game(during an interrogation): “i’ve told you everything i know! now let me go!” (something along those lines) altaïr: “would that i could.” _stabbed_
We should get a AC Rogue prequel- sequel with Haytham as the playable character with AC Origins style gameplay with less rolling cause that looks ' too uncivilised' for Haytham.
You were his partner in Rogue, which was the darkest period in Haytham’s life. It’s only after the events of that game that he rescues his sister and meets Ziio that you see the better man coming through culminating in his rescuing Connor from hanging.
MajorMike Nope, it's a different side of the same coin. It's why I love the first and 3rd games the best in terms of writing, the Templars aren't just your Saturday morning cartoon villains, they had their reasons to justify their actions.
Templars are not evil their methods are and the way they do things also sometimes they get way to extreme same as the assassin side (Bellek) but I would choose assassin

Because first off, how many random redcoats has Connor sent to the shadow realm himself, and bro he is literally an assassin. Haytham is more of an assassin than Connor most times, Altaïr used to do the same thing.
"It seems your tongue has tasted sour grapes" LMAO
Shit, I just got that
I read this as Connor said it lol
My first playthrough I didn't want to kill Haytham. So much so that I stopped playing it and tried to find ways to avoid killing him for weeks that even turned to months. And when the moment finally had come, I did the deed with a heavy heart.
Someone understands me ❤

Templars in the colonial age wasn't even evil. If you compare them to, let's say the Egyptian/Roman Templars then they're pretty tame.
Scott The Philosopher Colonial assassins on the other hand .... assholes
some of them but most of them were cool
connor is kind of an idiot and the colonial assassins are morons
TheMegaUzumaki
They were hypocrites for practicing what they believe in?
Even the AC wikia page describes them as the most benevolent rite to have ever existed. Aside from Braddock and other Templars like him. Haytham took care of these bastards by killing them.
@TheMegaUzumaki
Haytham surely had an explanation as to why he killed Birch.
@TheMegaUzumaki
So you're saying Haytham should've just let Birch go after what he did?
"You are my son after all and might still be saved from your ignorance." LMAO
I really would love a spin-off of Connor and Haytham. Instead of ending with Haytham dying by Connor's hands, just make it a series of how an Assassin and a Templar understand each other. Bloodline and Unity did but those were love story. This would make it more interesting since it's father and son.
8:20 you see haythem running in the back wth 😂
Alex Obregon WHAT IF HAYTHAM HAD A TWIN WHO DRESSED THE SAME? lmao
What if he can time travel :D
Now here you see Haythem using a time turner 😂
LMAOOOOO
6:02 I swear, Haytham and Shaun would get along so well. Had they been contemporaries, their shared love for sarcasm would have been the key to the peace between Assassins and Templars😂
Great chemistry
Savion Smith in what context?
Charlotte the actors play well off each other as argumentative son and father
"Because i said so, Now go"
*DAD 100*
6:29 The face Connor gave Haytham when he said that he is his son XD
Haytham is an absolute savage & his sarcastic sense of humor is solid.
“Then what do you propose we do? March in there and demand answers?”
“We’ll… yes.”
This line always gets me lol
Best templar of all time - *Haytham kenway* Salute
2:19 he said it so cutely
7:28 XD 😂
Isaac Roberts yep
Haythem: We don't know what is on the other siiiiiiiii- iiiiiiid
Conner: Now we do :3
l
Iiiiide...
Connor: We do now!
Lmao 😂 at Haythem's face 7:45.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE FATHER AND SON SCENES
omg I love Haytham so much xD he's just hilarious
I know the Ezio Trilogy gets a lot of the love when it comes to the early, but the Kenway Trilogy (I count Rouge as part of the Trilogy) was probably my favorite story arc in Assasins Crews.
I definitely agree that Rogue is a part of the Kenway story arc
I mean it has to be, we see how Haytham and Shay destroyed Achilles' brotherhood and placed him in the state hes in when he meets Connor
And it sjows the end of Adewale's story
The levels of sass are beautiful between these two
Haytham was actually my favorite Templar, mostly because we actually got to know him instead of them just being the shadowy bad guy of the game
and he actually was horriefed to hear what happen to connor's village and his mother.
he dismissed the action as vile and evil.
it proves that not all templars are evil they're just mis guided.
2:42 altaïr would say otherwise.
from the first game(during an interrogation):
“i’ve told you everything i know! now let me go!” (something along those lines)
altaïr: “would that i could.”

ruclips.net/video/UTgGSP0LalI/видео.html found it!!
go to 3:45
9:11 Conner's face. That was exactly my face when you think you heard your mom wrong.
7:33 When I played on the PS3, I remember the load screen took at least a fat 30 seconds before Haytham could finish his sentence.
I love Haytham even more with the german voices enabled. He's voiced by the same guy who voices James Bond in german, so that's a yes from me.
Edward would be so pleased with this
7:23 holy shit that parts funny XD
"Because I said so! Now go!'
Cara West oh, sweet times, i think i saw a meme with that.... :))
The dynamic between these two.. wow. I have to play this game again.
Haytham, the only person to ever make me question the Creed lol
damn i wish they didnt kill haytham and made a sequel about him
wasd He is in Rogue
We should get a AC Rogue prequel- sequel with Haytham as the playable character with AC Origins style gameplay with less rolling cause that looks ' too uncivilised' for Haytham.
You were his partner in Rogue, which was the darkest period in Haytham’s life. It’s only after the events of that game that he rescues his sister and meets Ziio that you see the better man coming through culminating in his rescuing Connor from hanging.
They can actually
Rogue should have starred him. Would have made it way better.
5:55
One of the best scenes in the franchise
Haythem : Because i said so !
Connor : Ok Daddy ...
Haythem : What
Connor : What
I love how the best dynamics between two characters are the ones in between some really messed up ones! :D
When I played this game I kinda built a bond with Haythem and Conner
"-iiide.""We do now."*insert best CGI dirty look*
It’s even better after meeting Edward and seeing that the sass is a family tradition
I just realized that Haythem makes sense. Wait... am I an evil person for thinking that?
MajorMike Nope, it's a different side of the same coin.
It's why I love the first and 3rd games the best in terms of writing, the Templars aren't just your Saturday morning cartoon villains, they had their reasons to justify their actions.
Templars are not evil their methods are and the way they do things also sometimes they get way to extreme same as the assassin side (Bellek) but I would choose assassin
TheMegaUzumaki I could see the Assassins doing the same.
Not a lot of people want to hear that they are a reflection of their mortal enemy.
I love Haytham. Seeing him again in 'Assassin's Creed - Rogue' was badass, although he's a bit colder and more stoic in that title, given that Shay's not his son.
One of the best duos in gaming
Conor is complaining about the same thing assassins do while wearing uniform is iconic😂
