"I can kill you now, if you prefer." What a dad.
EzioIlMentore at least in the end he got a dad to say something ;-;
Achillies:he maybe your father
But not ur dady
Well, Haytham did not even know he had a son until Connor was caught and about to be hanged.
oy gevalt my merchant brother !
No more child support
I love how different the Kenway family is with each generation. Pirate, Loyalist, and Freedom Fighter. I guess Connor would have had a lot more in common with his grandpa.
When I realized there's one naval mission in which Connor talks about Edward I was so happy :') He knew who Edward was.
Haytham isn't a Loyalist. He just helps whichever side that could benefit the Templars.
@Connor Marlow It's in the Tyranny of King Washington's DLC
Ac3 is in front of Edward's timeline Edward Kenway is not dead cuz in the game he is not dead dont matter not in game then
Nick G Edward died when Haytham was a kid
Let's agree,Haytham was the best anti-hero/villain...
I think he is an anti hero
He's been wearing the same robes for 20+ years!?
at that time it was nothing special xD
Smelly
Lol i was thinking the same thing
He has alot of the same outfit
Or maybe the developers were too lazy to give him something else.
And i thought my relationship with my dad is the weirdest....
WHERE DID HE TOUCH YOU!!!
Don't worry. People ship these two

My dad was like my mentor to me. He taught me how fight, me and my the best friend Lassira. He's the best father son ever can have.
Connor’s dad sounds like a college history teacher.
I love how you can read into “I don’t feign affection” into meaning he doesn’t care about Connor, but you can also read it as what little affection he actually did show Connor was genuine.
Haythem is funny as shit. I love him.
Ye with connor. Laugh of ded.
Connor - “And what about you?”
Haytham looks at Connor with sidelong incredulous look...
Haytham - “Never you mind! Just do as I ask!”
That part had me dying!!!!
8:22 It breaks my heart when Haytham tries to tell his son he didn't murder Ziio 😭
Haytham was the best part about AC3 I really liked him as much as Connor but he died :(
yes
Haytham was great im Rogue
I think Haytham really did try to form a bond with his son at this point.

If you look at 1:45 you can see how his father puts his hands behind his back when talking.
A few seconds later at 2:05 you can see Connor do the same when he's taking.
Like father, like son indeed...
Shay's outfit really does suit Connor
thought so too
That's Conmac or Cornor
Those quotes by Haythem. And the logic behind him and Shay Cormac are the reasons I will always prefer the Templars.

These two work well off each other, a father-son duo that acts like bitter rivals is quite entertaining
Conors ponytail kept disappearing throughout the entire video.
It still aggravates me that you can't keep the mercenary outfit. It's stylishly simple, to the point and I personally think Connor looks fresh in a tricorn hat.
I just realise how similar Connor is to young Altair and how similar Haytham is to old-er Altair
When haytham used his hidden blade it was on the wrong wrist
this got over 100k views? from a game back in 2012? thats good. loved this game
Thanks for watching ;]
There are times I wish Connor turned to a Templar
I love all of ac3 but when haytham comes in the story and dialogue just kicks off to new heights
I'll admit it, Hatham and Shay are likeable characters even if they are on the wrong side.
3:05 Every father ever.
Ever moment of these two is the best part of this game
Shay: Where are my clothes?
9:40 knowing how Haytham is by know I started laughing.
Shay wear’s connor kenway’s uniform in rogue
somehow I like to see them together xD They are so different and its so cute how Connor sometimes just looks at his das for advise.
AC3 story is underated.
As if Connor wasn't wooden enough... now he has to be plastic
Hythan : evening Connor I see you made it in one peace
Connor: hmp , recover from your beating then ?
Hytham👁️👄👁️
At 8:21 , it would be better if Haytham realise that the Templars killed his wife and then sided with the Assassins to go against Templars with Connor
Realizing how evil Templar is
it was Washington who gave the order to burn Connor's village, not the templars.
@@abednego_1254 are u talking about the DLC or the main story?
@@vexfilms8807 main story
@@vexfilms8807 iirc heavily implied in 2nd mission of the 10th sequence: Broken Trust.
I wish Haytham was a good guy. Imagine a father and son Assassins killing Templars.
It's funny during the time I was in 8th grade learning the first 13 colonies and i love history and I had this game at the time. And during my 11th grade year in high school I was learning Vietnam and Cold war then Mafia 3 showed up like what is it that games teach history
Hmm. I love Haytham, but I love him even more with his german voice. (I'm from Germany btw) he's voiced by the same guy who voices Daniel Craig's James Bond, so that adds another layer of coolness to Haytham...
Haytham is basically 18 cetruy James Bond. British, skilled, handsome, with amazing half smile, badass killer working for big organisation.
Connor looks fucking incredible in Shay's robes
"Any last words?"
"Wait."
"Poor choice."
Bad Ass +100
Old Edward is shaking his head somewhere in the Atlantic
7:35. I wonder what would have happened if Charles Lee and the templars were the ones that burned down Connor's village!
Matt Campbell Hytham would've gone full terminator on his ass and left the Templars for good. That would've been my plot for this story and had Desmond survive along with Lucy’s help build a new order against Juno
Not necessarily the templars. It's just Charles Lee, Hickey and Church that are evil ones. Maybe Haytham as "Ryriena Houston Born" stated would have left the templars for good and would go on a killing spree born out of rage and revenge.
However, he should halt Connor from killing Johnson and Pitcairn and then both should bring them to the village and explain to Clan mother about their intentions. Johnson wanted to buy the lands to keep Natives safe. Pitcairn aimed to replace war with diplomacy. Then Connor should decide whether or not to kill them. Some would agree, others would oppose. Haytham, Johnson, Pitcairn should explain their views that the congress endorses slavery.
Then perhaps there would be a potential alliance between the factions and there would be no slavery or the natives driven out of their lands by Washington's boys.
Why Connor looking clean in Shays outfit like damn bruh that fit you a little too well 😂😂

One of my favorite scenes in AC3, if not of all the limited scope of AC games I've played.
"You did not have to kill that man" :

yes
Connor spares given the opportunity, some opponents need to die, some refuse to surrender.
If you unarm guards and they have no allies and you point a gun at them they give up and you are not required to kill them unless the mission states.
every game is like that, just the player who control every protagonise to be killing machine
Connor doesn't kill unarmed men. Well, the Connor I play as doesn't.
I still wonder what happend if he haytham had the apple and open the gate. What would happend than? I mean like juno could see a vission... so it means there is a alternate universe where they won???

He really is acting like a father with talking like that. Almost seems a shame we had to kill him
@SuperGamewarrior101 He had no right to talk to Connor like that. He wasn't there for Connor at any point before this. He did not raise Connor, and when the chips were down, he still chose his allegiance to the Templars over his relationship with Connor. The only reason they were working together is because their interests aligned and Connor was a naive and angry teenager who, deep down, wanted to feel the warmth of love again.

I love how Haytham after finding out Ziio died realized what Conner has been through. He really loved her and if circumstances were different I have a feeling he would have stayed with her to raise Conner.
Idk if he 100% loved her but he did have an affection for her and by the American Revolution he was an empty man who did regret not spending time with his lover and son because he could've found happiness

Their Dynamic reminded me of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, Conor is young and naive and fights for "good" and for freedom. Haytham believes humanity can thrive when ruled with an iron fist and is so dedicated to his cause that he borders delusional. He's also way too willing to kill his son at any moment without remorse, but once they spend time together they begin to understand one another I think. Haytham was spitting straight truth at Connor for a while then when Connor mentioned that Charles killed his mother Haytham had zero answers. This game was awesome
NinjaInPajamas I think that broke him to know that the Templars took everything from him including his lover and son from him. :(

TheMegaUzumaki I played this game years ago. I dont remember Haytham already knowing Connor’s mother died. You can still tell Haytham is a semi decent guy who forces himself to do bad things because he feels it’s his duty to make a better world, even though the Templar’s world view is ridiculous
Haytham was never willing to kill Connor and he never will, he even said he will sacrifice himself if it means Connor will live and he does in the end. Read the Forsaken book and you’ll see Haytham would sacrifice himself without hesitation for his son
@RomeoPapaCharlie I think your onto something

Play the first and listen to all the confessions clearly.
I loved how AC3 let you see how similar the Templars and Assassins actually are, the reveal that Haytham was a templar shook me
Though if you look correctly the Assassins are not better then the templers. But enter Altair. He founded the creed which embodies his arc. His willingness to sacrifice himself only to secure a artifacts shows how motivated he was in protecting the creed. Altair even betrayed the brotherhood. People Like Altair and Ezio are the pious ones in the brotherhood who were not only against the Templers but also motivated to help others and hold the creed strong.
The loading screen when Connor tackles Haytham is unintentionally perfect.

@@TragicHamad I mean as a game
I was expecting a Haytham game, I don't mean Shay is bad but come on Haytham is the greatest templar
Haytham was a real man in my opinion. He learned a lot from his time with Shay, shown by his order to stop the search for the Precursor sites. He also cared a lot about Conner's mother, dare I say he loved her dearly but he has his responsibilities to the Order. He's one of my favorite characters for he has shown true character.
Thats why I think connor gets pissed when haythem confronts Washington saying its not the first time he's burned villages before. Because from Connors perspective if his dad knew about the village burnings the entire time then he's just a guilty of Washington for the death of his mother because he never came back to check up on them afterwards. It cast doubt on him not knowing his mother was dead to begin with.
@@splendadaddy2933He can't check on them because he's not even in America at that time. Right after he went back to America, he's informed about Ziio's death. Also, while he didn't directly check on them, he did try to protect the Natives from the british and patriots by owning their land, but of course that didn't work out too well.
Except, Haytham's mission _was_ to find a precursor site. *_The_* precursor site. What do you mean he wasn't? The entire arc of us playing as him is literally to get the key to open the precursor site.
There is something incredible powerful with Connor's moral. Even when everyone says he is in the wrong side, or when others give him good reason not be an assassin, or his allies betray him, or when people say to him to give up, he always stands up and keep fighting for what he always believed.
1:41 you can clearly see Haytham how he just took breath before saying "perhaps some time would make us good" it just really is remarkable acting of "I can't believe I must have a truce with Assassin's but it's my son I don't wanna kill him" he really doesn't like Assassin's but it's his son and he loves him.
"if you can't handle a couple of mercenaries, then there's no reason for us working together"
Says the guy who almost gets killed by said mercenaries 😒
Haytham could easily kill them. He had learnt what he needed, and he just had enough of Connor (like everyone else lol), and by using his IQ 2000000 he figured out the best way to handle him is to force him to attack the mercenaries, and while Connor would have been fighting, he would escape.
