  • Old GMC 7500 dump truck working. Dumping a small load of debris from cleaning the cranberries. I believe this truck has a Detroit diesel engine.

    I wonder what a new aluminum dump box would cost & some nice replacement fenders & step rails,along with some new saddle aluminum tanks, & a paint job? It might be allot, but it would be better than allot of the new trucks ! no regen, no def fluid! just pure power& no automatic trans.Why I think It be a real truck.Thanks 4 the video.

      @Romans--bo7br 6 лет назад +2

      Military Museum..... Although the 6V71 & 6-71 engines were options for this model, this one is definitely a 6V53 (naturally aspirated). Just so you know, a 6-71(inline) or 6V71 is NOT automatically a "238"(hp) as is very often supposed by many, on youtube here.... no more so, than is an 8V71... a "318" (hp). It all depends on which injectors, cam and timing were being used. An inline or V6-71N in "automotive spec" was only rated at "238"hp.. IF - it was equipped with N65 injectors, std. timing at 2100rpm, same for the 8V71N when rated at "318"hp.

      The 9500s would be those to use the series 71 diesels, not the 7500s which would use only the 6V53 as you describe.
