Only the second excavator I've seen with the cab mounted on the right hand side of the boom. Seem to remember John Deere did that in the 70s, maybe the 690 or 790.

JohnDeere50d I have used those weatherproof connectors for my snowplow wiring and never had any problems. Get a good crimp on them and seal them up I think they would last forever.
They’ll never make a better lookin truck than them ol 9300’s. Hands down my favorite body style of all the brands

***** the motor is in the rear so I don't think it's very loud in the cab. It does get hot I am sure.

I don't think dad would leave the truck without setting they brakes but maybe he did.

JohnDeere50d Soldering and shrink tube is the best connection but I don't think you will have any problems with the weatherproof crimp connectors.

The ram always picks up one side more than the other even when the load is on the other side. The pins are worn or something is bent maybe.
