Taylor dropped an amazing question that really got me to thinking... Do we really want to get to know other people or do we want other people to know us??? That was real food for thought. Especially as it pertains to dating and "getting to know someone" nowadays I rarely get the man asking me a bunch of questions... are we really trying to get to know one another or just fill our time with a person to feel fulfilled?

The piece on self awareness though... self awareness is everything if you are trying to live in the fullness of who you truly are. It takes inner work and VERY few people are willing to do the work, because it can be scary. To dig down deep within and deal with past hurts and disappointments isn’t for the faint of heart. Prayer, meditation and counseling has worked wonders in my personal life

    Wisdom from Taylor Rooks:
“Sometimes treading water is draining” (don’t stay stagnant in life)
“Every situation that you have in your life is temporary”
“Inner conflict is being what others want you to be”
“Sometimes things just don’t work in relationships (it’s just that simple)”
“Most people don’t know who they are or who they are not at their core (self worth/identity)”
Thank you so much for your transparency Hafeez and you are opening more and more as this podcast and your life journey progresses!
Aww the chemistry between Chris and Taylor is so adorable lol! (Chris has jokes lol at the end of the day lol Taylor could find someone to marry)

The way we live is not the way God intended us to. God put Adam & Eve in a garden to have a life of simplicity free from the artificial. Now everything is about the artificial chasing cars, houses, money & status. Simplicity & contentment in life is key. Contentment comes before happiness & desiring what God has for you comes before contentment.
The problem with marriages is the fact that marriage is an institution of God but most have no connection with God! Adam did not know what was best for him but God did. Also, only God knows the heart & it is impossible for you to know someone else’s heart. You have to hear from God who should be your spouse like Isaac & Rebecca or Marry & Joseph

Some people may never know themselves because a personality is made up of the experiences or lack of experiences they've had, as well as who they want to be perceived as; most importantly it is made up of the lies that they have been telling themselves for so long that they now truly believe. That it is where the issue lies because there aren't a lot of people who are true to self. Especially from this era of social media where people build up this persona of highlights they really start buying the nonsense they are putting out.

did anyone peep that she seductively repeats back or mirrors what the interviewers want to hear?? Idk. There is a superficial transparency going on. both interviewers like her, but one is trying to low key holler. lol, the other one is open with his love. 😉❤ she should just give one of them the rose and get it over with.

Most people don’t marry the person they loved the most? Misguided. Most of the time the person who you feel you loved the most is the relationship that had the most pain and ups and downs and you feel that’s love and you associate pain with love. Actually, the one it worked out with is the relationship with the most love in it because you were able to work through issues that brought you to marriage! Love works through issues. The other relationship wasnt meant to be and you wouldn’t have worked out. The other relationship is a fantasy.
