Thank YOU for tuning in and following the videos, @Philip Legare Stokes! This series wouldn't exist if it weren't for folks like you making use of them! :)
I've put off learning this on the accordion for so long, expecting it to be too hard. You made it easy breaking it down, thanks so much Mari 👍
Mari you are too cute! Love your personality and awesome teaching

LOVE this one! I play it on my hammered dulcimer. So much fun!
Awesome, @Matthew Condon! This is a GREAT dulcimer tune -- rock on!! :)
Love it!
This tune has been attributed to one Francis Siwash, an Aboriginal man from New Brunswick - although it seems someone else came up with the 3rd part later on, don't know who. He is also supposed to have composed The Growling[Grumbling] Old Man & the Growling[Grumbling] Old Woman - in fact, it is said that Don Messer mixed up the titles of the two tunes and we've had them the wrong way around ever since. Personally, I don't believe that part of the story, but anyway .... That comes from a post on Fiddle-L by an academic who had researched these tunes.
Nice fiddling. This is a great 3-part tune.
Agreed, @John Tait! One of the very best!
Mmmmm , it's not a french canadian reel. I It's english canadian. The Tobique river in in the english part on New-Brunswick.
