    Sony ZV E10 Mk II could be a killer camera. I’m currently liking the Z30 the best in this class, with that Viltrox 13mm F1.4 and the kit zoom it’s fantastic. But if the ZV E10 Mk II has 4k60 and IBIS as rumoured, I could be selling the Z30.

    Speactular video as always, with insane amount of detail! 🤩 I think Canon APS-C cameras make no sense right now without ultra-wide lenses in the 16-24 mm equivalent range. It's so absurd, I can't believe it's possible. But with their EF lenses, there was also a total lack of ultrawide prime lenses, so I'm really disheartened and unoptimistic about the future, and they won't even allow third party manufacturers into the field for who knows how many years longer, until they're happy with their lineup..

    Great comparison, but also illustrate how far Canon is currently behind in the APSc world. Fujifilm and Sony just have the most lens selections and the classic Sigma trio just boost these systems, although these lenses are quite old now.
    Depending on your country the price difference between R50 and R10 is not that big e.g. in Germany it's about 150€ difference. In USA B&H the difference is bigger.
    I'm still hoping Sony will release a new 6000er line up this year. I hope they will have active steady shot with only 10% crop like the A7IV. That will boost that 11mm 1.8 even more for vlogging :)

    • @bigtredunzo
      @bigtredunzo Год назад +1

      I'm not certain that saying Canon is behind is an accurate statement. They do lack in 3rd party lenses which seems to be what everyone, including myself, a Canon guy, is complaining about. I already have 5 RF L series lenses so I'm all set there. The R50 does have a complete touch screen including the menu, an EVF, a built-in flash, selective subject identification for people, eyes, animals, birds, cars.
      I think that much of the difference between the two cameras boils down to what one is already familiar with and invested in.

    A factor of the popularity of Canon's EOS M line was the availability of the Sigma 16/30/56mm 1.4 lenses. I feel Canon would need to step up its APSC R-mount lens game -- creating equivalence of the M mount would probably not be sufficient. I was so disappointed, I have turned off product show case thinking maybe that was it, I have raised my overhead mount way above my desk thinking maybe the 30 inches above my desk was too close. Yes product showcase mode would not be good for top down videos. It’s meant to quickly shift focus to the closest thing to the lens - so it will shift all over the place if doing a top down shot. Using regular wide autofocus would be better for that. Try to use an fstop that will keep more in focus like an f4, as long as you have enough light. You can also do a manual focus if you know where you’ll want to be focusing.

      Use Manual ISO Manual Aperture and set your shutter to 1/50 Set your aperture lower see +1.0 on the M.M. on your screen. If your aperture is as low as it can go, then increase your ISO. You can take the HLG clip from your SD card, stabilize it in catalyst browse and then edit that file in DaVinci.

    Hello! I hope you will see my comment. First of all, it was a very useful video, congratulations. But I still have a question that sticks in my mind and I need to ask someone who knows. I want to make an entrance into filmmaking, and I stayed between these two cameras for a long time, actually I wanted to buy the m50, but then when I saw these cameras Decently confused my mind. So my question to you is, which do you think would be better for entering filmmaking? I eliminated the M50 because of the crop factor. I eliminated Sony because of 8 bit, but I still haven't made a complete decision. Thanks in advance for your answers. And my last question is is it possible to log on these cameras? and ıdk why but you look like christopher nolan

      The autofocus is really good - but not as good as Sony's. It misses sometimes on the eye and gets the nose, and if you have to be careful which setting you have it in. With Sony, the autofocus is flawless in all modes. But I wouldn't hesitate to use it. I would choose the Panasonic over the Canon because it's autofocus is good enough (especially in the right modes) and it's features are better overall

      If you go below 50mm - Called as Shorter focal lengths ( i.e. 40mm, 30mm, 20mm etc), view widens, but it adds distortion & bending of straight lines.
      In smartphone, main back lense is usually 24mm-26mm which is considered as WIDE angle focal length. It's therefore nowadays 50mm and 75mm focal lengths are coming up in smartphones.

    • @oamyway975
      @oamyway975 8 месяцев назад

      @@Publicchannel5 50mm is the best focal length. (Full frame Equivalent)
      50mm on apsc becomes 50x1.6 = 80mm.
      So on apsc , you need roughly 30mm lense , so 30mm x 1.6 crop factor= 48mm effective focal length.
      So IMO Canon 28mm F/2.8 is best. But aperture value also becomes 2.8x1.6 = 4 which is not so good.
      Second point to note is, higher is focal length, more distance needed between camera and subject. So 50mm RF becomes very tight to use indoors, especially if the Room is small. Outdoors it is a great lense.
      So choose according to your needs. Better use kit lense first and then decide which focal length you like more , as per your Taste, surroundings and requirements.
      They all vary from person to person 🙏

      @MarkBennettCameraCrisis  Год назад

      You can adapt yes - and that’s really our only option. Having only kit lenses for apsc cameras after 7 months is worrying. No other manufacture has ever done that. Many people don’t want to buy a new camera and then buy an adapter to buy older lenses from a different camera mount. Canon does not have a good track record with mirrorless apsc lenses. They did not support their M-Mount well and then killed it off. Canon plans to sell this R50 camera in box stores, and the worry is that they will target the beginner and then not support the camera with a decent lens selection. So far, that’s exactly what’s happened. Hopefully there will be lenses soon.
