I would give my left ass cheek to have David Brevik come back to work on a prequel to D1 where Acts 1-4 take place just before the events of D1, and as you progress in the game you get closer and closer to Tristram...The expansion would be Act 5 and would be a 100% remake of D1...
I'm a little tired of sequels...I want them to take the series back to its roots where you play a more "realistic" and humanized character instead of an OP descendant of angels/demons. I liked it way better when you were just a person fighting the minions of hell.

Such as a Dermapteran Slicer. You only get it from killing these certain bugs and it's basically a sword fashion from their stinger. Also I'd say a thrilling and on the end of your seat turn based game that might live up to Turn based D1 is Darkest Dungeon. I don't think I've ever been on the edge of my seat as much playing any other game. Losing a lvl 4 or 5 char I've grown attached to if I play this turn wrong... or losing all the loot and trinkets if they all die. I wonder if David has ever played that game

Never knew it played a toll on his marriage during Diablo 2 - with him working 16 hour days, every day for how many months? It's unclear if he's still married to her, or on his 2nd wife. I must have missed what he said. Not that it's any of my business. But I think that aspect of it is an important warning about doing too much crunch time and how damaging it can be to people. The game he created? He should be giving credit to his team too. Because let's be honest, without Chris Metzen and others, Diablo 2 wouldn't be the legend it is.

David Breviks transfer of the Alternate Advancement system in everquest to Marvel Heros Omega levels.... i wish he would add that aspect to an actual major player rpg of the future

Hellgate London's flop was a very sad moment from my childhood. I remember often hearing that it was the next big thing beside Diablo. I believe there was an early demo that I enjoyed. I eventually got the full game, and online play was unsupported almost immediately. You could see a ton of potential in the game, but can also see how stale the game was the longer it went on. You can really tell that the companies involved ran out of money to support the game. I would have loved to see a Hellagate London that was fully supported.

This turned out really well. Good questions, we got a lot out of him. 👍

Hey Ziz, do you still have the source for this Tyrian 2000 remake lying around? Could be fun to put it on Github on a public repo and see if people will do anything interesting with it. Tyrian was a legendary game!

actually in the first iteration of lod those ' enslaved' that could be transformed into suicide bombs(worldstone kep act 5) actually did insane dmg but for some reason they nerfed them in the following patches. I guess they were too unfair or something ( just like iron maiden in chaos sanctuary)

@@jeanninedemaeseneer1060 I noticed that they barely do damage anymore. Was wondering if I just remembered the game wrong but I guess not.

Marvel Heroes rights got selled to Trion Worlds, which than later was bought by Gamigo.
I don't know the specific about the need of a "license" from Disney/Marvel, so they could work on that product.
But i am waiting every day of my life until Gamigo announces something regarding Marvel Heroes.
Gamigo might have some questionable monetization models, but i think they did alot of geat things to other titles, overhauling them. (ArcheAge and Rift for example).
