I think everyone that sees this video and doesnt buy the game should donate half of the money to your channel xD Honestely im surprised by how poor it looks. I usually dont buy Ubislob games because they tend to release mediocre/average games that are polished, look good and are well optimized but are completely souless, this one seems to be the usual Ubisoft sh#it, but without the good parts.
It's not Ubisoft to me, It's the MODERN game title. If it is updated for an modern audience. It's going to be not fun, boring, and have the same Dang THEMES. I been a gamer my whole life. Western Gaming is done. They make PRETTY games, with no soul. The new GTA is using the buzzwords too. Sorry but if a woman that is a 3d Model is triggering you as a game company, your game is going to fail in general. Mass Effect made MIRANDA for gamers lol. Which primarily are men, now their apologizing which shows they regret making an attractive NON REAL PERSON. It makes men stupid and women magical. No nice way to say it. The Gamer Journals, are people that failed to Reach CNN as a company and piss and moan gamers suck lol. Especially if your white, NOT MY WORDS, ever article. So I play mostly Japanese, or asian games. I am working on my second Bully type game. More Mature like the The Witcher in themes. I hate anything new from the US game's wise, or these companies. If it says Modern, i know it's going to be Sh!t period.
I think that's a badge of honor to me. I can't pretend companies saying men are evil, AS A MALE, could pay me to say otherwise, piss on their low IQ/Quality games.
It's also safe to say He hasn't played the worst Games of the Year (Dustborn & Concord) because going this is the worst Game of the Year in my view means he has not even touch them.
Lol add way more COMPANIES than that. I am tired of remakes, and freaking games pushing the stupid same message over and over lol. It's a game, not CNN daily sheesh.
I wouldn't worry about that, at this rate Ubisoft wont be around for to long, selling out for a trip to Disney land would be the worst thing to do right now, yea Ubisoft have massive cash reserves but that's running out FAST.
I hate it the irony is that Thief The Dark Project did it better back in the 90s where the guard would either attack you or run away to get other guards that game is 25 years old.
I am working in Unreal, Actually a pretty easy coding to stop that, I am guessing this game was rushed and hired people based on Article clicks, over merit or skills lol. It's not tested by gamers, but journos. Which are mouth pieces, not gamers lol.
TIP: Boycott *ALL* Ubisoft games because they say:"Buying OUR games doesn't mean you own OUR games and we can remove them from your library anytime we please!"
They are, just look at dustborn, a lot of people are just getting money from investors while not caring about quality and they clearly are not spending the budget on the game or tv series (the acolyte). People have found a way to get money from investors like Blackrock because blackrock doesn't care about quality.
@@Re-PhantomZero what tf is sustaining shitrock? You'd think at some point so many projects they invested are flops they'd figure to go throw money at something more worthwhile
They are made by people who just want a pay check and platform for activism versus the older days where games were passion projects and companies were making or breaking off of their dream games.
Seems like ubisoft is doing everything in their power to silence negative opinions on this game. When i google the game it comes up all positive and glowing reviews. Seems very strange the way it’s unfolding. I think in a day or two the real opinions are going to start slapping hard. It’s like big tech is colluding to create this narrative around the game that it’s great and fun. Looks like average trash to me..
@@HereComesTheDay really? At first it was only vids trash talking it and then they were saying its actually good so i dont think they are trying to hide it😂
You shit on AC Valhalla for being too long, you shit on this for being too short. They can’t win, y’all are just miserable people who use this as an out to piss and moan about something
The price tag would warranted (almost) IF the game was ACTUALLY good, and not a buggy, underwhelming mess. But it's trash and ubisoft has delivered ubislop for the ubigoys
i mean youve got a silent helper who can disable alarms, distract enemies; you have a whistle to attract enemies to instantly knock them out; you also have a silent stun shot that takes out enemies which recharges. theres are DEFINITELY tools there, its just a genuine skill issue
@@tezzie_ Agreed. I'm having zeros issues going full stealth into places. I've entered multiple Empire facilities and stolen data pads and even broken into the vaults in the syndicates without alerting a single character. Sometimes I do it just to use the Fast Talk option and stun them to unlock the abilities, but if someone cannot go full on stealth, it is DEFINITELY a skill issue. Nix is a GREAT tool in that process. Sabotage the alarms, power/open doors, distract enemies so you can sneak by, or knock them out from behind, etc.
Gosh I hate these garbage stealth mechanics by Ubisoft. Blind enemies, but sometimes they’ll see you no matter what, instant invisibility in the grass, focus on takedowns and general lack of depth. Games like these feel like an insult after replaying Splinter Cell series.
Never? there have been very few objectively good star wars games. I don't feel like this review is fair to the game at all either. It is extremely negative compared to other supposedly trustworthy reviewers.
Original Xbox had KOTOR, KOTOR 2, Jedi Academy, Jedi Outcast, Battlefront and Battlefront 2 all that were 8-10/10 ratings. The state of things Star Wars is a shell of what it used to be . Although this game doesn't seem THAT bad still worth playing at $30 according to most reviewers
@@Welshy180 So all these games were just imagined? KotOR and 2? Republic Commando? Empire at war? The entire Jed Knight series? Force Unleashed? The open world train has sailed long ago and Ubisoft's open world just for open worlds sake always was stupid. All those games feel like reskins. That company has been stuck for 20 years now.
I don't know how studios keep fucking up with Star Wars. They proved in the 2000s making a great game in the universe isn't rocket science. Angry Birds Star Wars is probably top 5 best Star Wars games since 2010 at this point
It's a deliberate push on ALL games. Not just Star Wars. I watched a channel that showed the last 7 games. From different publishers. All had the same MESSAGE and themes lol. Asian games seem to be the best to look to if not INFLUENCED by western companies at ALL
I am still playing Force Unleashed and KOTOR. Making actually good Star Wars games isnt difficult, this game had potential to be a smash hit if theyd actualy had people that knew star wars working on it.
@@jamesmarcel8330 Both excellent games man. Remember Ubisoft made TC Las Vegas 1-2, Splinter Cell. These NEWER games are made to be crap, and they know it. The people saying you have to play this game, No I am adult lol. I can smell crap a mile away, I know for a fact, MOST YOU WILL NEVER BUY THIS GAME PERIOD,

@@jamesmarcel8330 Well after Assassin's creed Odyssey they went to pushing deeper and deeper the usual crap. I liked all the assassin creed games up to that. They went deeper into messaging instead of deeper into gameplay. I do think GOW R is more of a messaging game, but they actually had the game told first lol. The director actually made a good game well 2 IMO. These new games are like well the MC is a women, and strong. That is their characteristic. It's like okay, but what does she like, does she ever fail? No she is a woman lol, it's in all the new movies pretty much over and over. Look at the new Assassins Creed. They changed the race, History, Orientation for what? This is stupid, find a black character in history that was awesome? HOW hard is that lol??? Probably millions, but the laziness is like nah, let's change history in a weird way.
I don't understand the regression on so many technical aspects. Breakpoint already has a stealth system where you may get spotted by one particular enemy but the entire base doesn't instantly triangulate your exact location, it's just that one dude, you take him out before he fires his gun and you're clear. And even if a gunshot is heard, the rest of the enemies don't instantly enter combat mode, they go into alert until you're spotted. 2019 game.
Yeah, when this was made using the Division 2 engine, which had good stealth, multiple weapon choices and decent hand to hand... it seems mental to buy this for $70+ when you can get a multiplayer Division 2 game for a few dollars which is significantly better (yes, I have played SW Outlaws and hate it... Actually Alt-F4 as I could not be bothered to try and find the exit menu).
@@5115neoAh yes; let's mock those who have immersive standards of realism and believability for video games. You don't happen to be under Ubisoft's employ, per chance? It'd certainly explain both your comment, and the farcical combat animations this game has.
@@Libertas-ws6eo Putting so little care or thought into one of your game's core gameplay mechanics is just a terrible look for the overall game. It seems like nobody in the dev team cared about this product. They were just told to make a game capitalizing on the Star Wars IP.
No. It's no Star Wars without light sabers. 😆 Star Wars already was destroyed. Remember Episode One? The smartest people in the Universe find Anakin and tell about the myth that "he will bring balance". And no one even thought about that balance is shit when you are in controle.
The fact a mission fail if you are not stealthy is awful. We are in 2005 or what ? Worth 20$ in a year with all the content and some patchs. Classic Ubisoft.
Forced stealth is not inherently bad. Bad stealth is bad, and this game clearly had bad stealth, as well as bad everything else, which is what makes it bad. I don't like racing games, but I won't say that Forza is a bad game. Stealth can be good, even if you don't like it as much as other gameplay. But clearly the stealth isn't even good in the game, nor anything else.
Funny thing is Chaos Theory already did away with it. Lambert's exact words were "this isn't a videogame Fisher" when asked about alarms. Sadly the people who made that are likely no longer around.
Last review code Dan gets for a while lmao Thanks for the review Dan. Anything Ubisoft I just expect it to suck. Quantity over quality company and it shows almost every single time. Not even going to spend $18 for this (& I can write that off).
@@5115neo the protector of access journalism has arrived. You are right he shouldn't get review codes, that tells me who to trust and who has a vested interest.
It kind of is, it’s not as bad as the reviewer makes it to be, and I’m not even a star wars fun or ubisoft at all, and don’t even like Assassin’s Creed titles. Everything that is said is about true, but it’s not as underwhelming for me personally, as the world is full of details and quite rich as well (not RD2 rich, but well done overall IMO). It’s nit 130$ enjoyable, but definitely enjoyable!
I'm so forgiving of Star Wars blunders because most of the time I'm just happy to have a bit of extra content to enjoy - and it can't always be amazing. But this... Even when I'm so careful... I'm not sure I've ever been so disappointed in a game.
My god that first gameplay snip at 1:30 is SUCH a joke. That stormtrooper watches your entire animation of knocking out the other guy and allows you to unload on his head before even firing a round. I am actually happy to see how awful this game is.
If you’re happy to see a game be bad then you are not a serious person and you hold way too many negative emotions in your heart. I bet you still buy madden every year tho

It irks me I had to scroll this far to find this comment. SWG wasn't just open world by modern standards, it was open world STAR WARS. Wander all over the planet, and lots of other planets.

@tyr3759 No kidding, i really hadn't paid any attention to this game's release until recently but when i first heard the underworld concept i thought that could be pretty cool and then i started hearing a lot of dumb things about it. It's like they think they don't have to try and anything they slap a star wars label on will sell. The old games sold so well because a ton of effort went into making them good
This game is so dull and boring ,been struggling to play it ,worst game ive played in years .To think massive took over a 1000 employees to work on this project ,should of stuck with The Division franchise .
It is not like Ubisoft has experience with stealth focus games. It should have gone to the game studio who did Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, and Watch Dogs. Wait a second...
With the flickering and stuff I agree that it isn't worth the $70 price tag, which is why I just did a Ubisoft sub for a month to play/beat it. Sure there are some things the devs could have done better gameplay and story wise, but I gotta say I strongly disagree with you man. Outlaws is overall a fantastic game, a lot of fun. For me it's one of the best games of 2024.
In a calendar year, Ubisoft has managed to make one of the worst pirate games of all time and one of the worst stealth games of all time. They've managed to piss off a load of Star Wars fans, gaming enthusiasts in general, and the entire country of Japan. Might wanna check who's in charge because I think they're trying to intentionally sink the company
"and the entire country of Japan" I did not care much about the Sasuke-character until then, but the more I see him trigger all the weaklings around the world, the more I root for him ! ☺
@pw6002 was personally done with AC after Valhalla cause it's just the same shit over and over again. I got roped back in with Odyssey, and Valhalla finally killed it for me as I was just bored with the series. As for the Sasuke thing, I think it's a bit overblown. I get why the Japanese would want a Japanese male protag, but at the end of the day, it's just a video game, and you can either buy it or ignore it. I am, however, impressed that it got an entire country to treat it like they all got personally slapped in the face

Are you seriously criticizing tropes and foreshadowing? With that level of literary insight I am guessing you haven't liked the writing in any video game since... ever?
@@aprotosis Firstly, let's remain calm and respectful. And answering: No, my friend, that is not what I am criticizing. I agree, of course, that tropes and foreshadowing can be part of a narrative, BUT THEY MUST BE DONE IN AN EFFICIENT WAY, which allows them to fulfill their functions, in the case of foreshadowing, in a way that really surprises and captivates the audience in the narrative when it is discovered or revealed. My criticism is that some of the game's narratives, tropes and foreshadowing were very, very obvious, and failed to fulfill their functions, that's all, and I made the joke out of that. You can rest assured that my level of literary perception is good. The question is: Is your level good? If you think so, I'm happy for you. Idk, man, just such a disappointment, I was so happy to play it, and the more I played it the more my excitement turned into anger
no not. Not a game that crashes every 5 mins, have constantly bugged missions and the graphic is creating tons of artifacts. And this is the state of the game from today after years of false promises to fix the mess. I rather take a worse game but working than this mess. But then...Outlaws is also not working.
There's a reason for it. Takes talented devs, effort and resources. It's difficult to make. Programming "smart" A.I etc. Ubi always take the easy path that's why their games are average at best.
How would a good Star Wars stealth game do: be a Force user who, being outnumbered behind enemy lines, develops stealth oriented Force powers such as camouflage, hiding in the shadows, mind trick, generating short-term amnesia and has gadgets like grappling hook and a invisible and inaudible lightsaber. But stealth is impossible against enemy Force users, since they can detect us from a certain distance, which would be the bosses.
that's the thing Forcers wouldn't. They can regignize other strong force users as they influence the force themselves. But usually a force user is not constantly checking out everything that happens around them. They are usually busy with stuff themselves. As they are Jedi or Sith they are usually thinking they are the best for the fancy job and won't restrict themselves to be a ship integrated sensor network. But using the force close to other force users might reveal you so it restricts you in your fancy abilities. So the game gives you reasons to not always being the uberpowered berserker. But it would probably be cool seeing Darth Vader Standing around instead of fighting Obi Wan or trying to get Luke and saying "I tell you were they are and you get them".😉
Wukong is 20 hours (if you’re a pro at the game) most games now actually around that timeframe. Why would you want padding to make a game unnecessarily long? Again y’all pick the weirdest things to criticize, what about the actual game itself?

Why? I was thinkinng about Ubisoft+ It's 16€ a month and even when doing more hours I probably get the game done in one month and even with all the pre order bonuses. Don't buy the game for full price. You'll anyways not owning it. You only buy the right to play the game until it's discontinued...in 3 years maybe??? well...usually 10 years. The way these comments read, the only "warning" people needed to think this game was bad was to know if featured a woman. And one that dared to not be the platonic ideal of beauty as well.
This looks so unappealing. Star Wars is like what The Simpsons became: a reanimated corpse that is not the same as it was in their heyday. They call it "Zombie Simpsons" or in this case, "Zombie Star Wars".
Its honestly hard to fathom how Ubi could cock this up this badly. There's plenty of people who would have been satisfied with a reskinned FarCry game with some AC stealth mechanics. But Outlaws can't even clear that admittedly low bar.
Dan, this is off topic, but you should really consider playing the main story of SWTOR, it would be a gold mine of new content for you. I know it's a MMO and has its flaws, but still has many characteristics of Bioware storytelling and character development in its prime. Give it a chance and try the class stories!
@@Dayrell-sr9tj it is, you can play the class stories for free. It's a miserable experience though, as there is a lot of QoL such as speed boosters that is behind the paywall. In my opinion, one month subscription is well worth it if you use it to the fullest.
I honestly don't see what the issue is. There are slight problems. Nothing that can't be fixed with a small patch. The game is gorgeous. The mechanics are solid. I am truly loving it so far and shocked by comments people are making. I think we have come to expect too much from developers now. This game is great. Perfect.....no but I am absolutely loving it. What I would suggest is sign up to Ubisoft plus. Install the game and try yourself. That way you're not shelling out 100 quid on something you may hate. For me I did the above but am really tempted to cancel the Ubisoft Plus and just get a cheap digital code from online. It's definitely one for my collection. Massive have done a great job and all this hate confuses the shit out of me.
04:54 - "Another thing that annoys me is that you cannot shoot the alarms or cameras". That's again you playing the game wrong and blaming Ubisoft for it. You can disable alarms manually or via pet and you can disable cameras with the ion shot on your blaster. So, sorry - a lot of your complaints are valid but others are wrong. Probably the result of wanting to rush through the game to have a video up early. In your video you seem to not make use of your pet at all. That's like dissing a car for its bad performance because you refuse to change gears.
His complaints seem to be centered on his inability to play the game the way he wants to and is refusing to adjust so he is just bad at it. People calling this a stealth game when you can blast people in the face for the vast majority of it if you really insist.
@@aprotosis - Yeah - it's an RP but you RP a different character, not your own. Like in RDR2 where you *are* Arthur Morgan. And the story is your character's story, not your own. That what R* got right in GTA or RDR2 in online - create your own character and you have no story in online. Your character creates his (or her) own story. And everything in the game is centered around Kay. The weapon system could have been done better, though. The limited ammo is ok but Kay should have a weapon locker in her ship, allowing her to take a 2nd weapon with her on a mission. But, yes, if you *expect* to create your own character and want a shooter then this game won't deliver. And if you can't get off your expectations and enjoy what is actually offered, you end up with reviews like this.

Ubisoft I love for Assassin's Creed series, Far Cry series and my favorite Anno series, but when given a chance to shine with a Star Wars IP they screw it up big time, glad I didn't bother to pre-order or buy it. AC is getting killed by Ubisoft. And Far Cry is always the same.....still fun but once you done one, you done all of them. Avatar was a far cry in disguise. Their last Prince of Persia 2D was good, the Rayman Origin/legends were good games also. I wish they release more 2D games, those are actually good. And they need to find new talents, I mean réal talents as game designers, they need new and fresh ideas for basically all their 3D games.
no offense dude but people like you who buy generic slop that is basically just a reskin of a previous title (farcry and AC)... is what's wrong with the industry at the moment, its because of people like yourself that game studios think doing the bare minimum is acceptable because there will always be sheep (you) to buy their generic dogshih

5:00 sorry but that makes sense. The idea that you could shoot a camera with a gun and not get caught is ridiculous. "But it's silenced" come on my guy 😂 There's no such thing as a truly silenced gun. Maybe there's SOME examples of really good suppression but you're always going to have SOME sound, especially when you're HITTING A METAL object like a camera, especially when that camera is near other people. If a metal object that was travelling at 700mph (I'm even giving you subsonic rounds here) hit a metal object 50 feet from you, especially INSIDE, you're going to hear it dude.
"If using the tools available to the player causes the mission to fail" ... the alarms are objects that you can interact with. So maybe, just maybe, *deactivate* the alarms before you blow up the barrels?
Only problem is that the almarm could be on the complete other side of your position where neither you or nix can reach it. That or there is one behind a door you can’t get through yet and someone triggers it in there. Quit defending such an awful game

@@giga.bates_ - That reminds me of my time with BG3. But there's objective and there's personal. It's totally OK if you don't like the gameplay. It's a different thing if you do an Asmongold and want to force a certain playstyle onto a game that requires a different approach while refusing to bother finding out what the Devs had in mind. And part of the complaints in his review are more into the Asmongold territory - I don't care what tools I have available, I want to do it this way, I fail, therefore the game sucks.
I really thought people were exaggerating and being mean about this game because it was funny, but these are honestly some of the worst character models I've ever seen. It's as if they've intentionally made the characters as ugly as possible.
Meh. No offense but Mortismal will 100% it in a couple of days and he's usually pretty balanced. The fact that this is a Ubi game gives me little comfort though.
Ubisoft made Far Cry 3. They have no excuse to make a piss poor stealth Star Wars game. I know They made more than Far Cry 3, just don't want to name every Far Cry Game. Star Wars is just a cash grab any more.

I have learned my lesson with avatar. AC syndicate was the last ubi game that i enjoyed and i thought i will try their games again. Outlaws looks even worse. Boring open world design no creativity or risk. Especially the combat. Designed for casuals. Junk food gaming.
Syndicate was ok. It looks nice and plays nice but then you notice that in overall plot it means little. Parkour was dumbed down so you can't even jump off high places if the system thinks you will kill yourself. In games before it I felt my grab range so I could perform these last second ledge grabs. Now I am not even allowed to do it. Grappling hook just makes it one button lift. You don't even use it in combat. Oh and they already had EXP boosts there 🤣 Etc etc. Thing is when I went back to Ezio trilogy some months ago I just had a lot more fun. It was much better made. It's kind of sad Ubi just has no creativity these days. Games like Prince of Persia trilogy and Ezio trilogy are one of my favorite games that I will never forget. I would love to play a Greek warrior or Viking warrior but these games are just huge time sinks. Stuff like RPG mechanics were added just to gate player into spending more time doing nonsense and sell exp.
The whole gaming industry has gone downhill . It used to be gamers building games for other gamers . Now it's all about making as much money as they can off of a game . Being that there's a Disney connection to this game , I would expect it to be completely woke .
Money and time, the money guys want money now, and let's face it gamers as a whole won't wait so minimal dev time - A good game takes 5 to 7 years on a known engine

I honestly don't get everyone. I guess hating has become 'the thing to do' nowadays. I for one am having a blast 10h in now and saw alot of other players also enjoying it. Is it perfect? No. Is it too expensive? Yes. But Is the game a step into the right direction? Yes! You all really need to stop hating for the sake of hating.

2019 game.

A minute typing out that comment and you already have a better game than whatever shit they made here.
that's the thing Forcers wouldn't.
But it would probably be cool seeing Darth Vader Standing around instead of fighting Obi Wan or trying to get Luke and saying "I tell you were they are and you get them".😉
The stealth design means an automatic no buy from me. Pity.
