  • We added this Ultratec trailer to our operation to help us move wood to the other side of the yard. This trailer is very light and easy to pull with my old four wheeler.
The Utratec trailer can be purchased from Metsa Machines. Here is their site.

Alright man, I’m in southeast Indiana. I’m a tree guy, looking to increase my firewood efficiency. Good stuff! I’m sub’d and I’m tired of all the larger channels I follow. Been lookin for a smaller channel to get in early with and chat with! Workin my way through your vids right now.

Welcome Mitch! Glad to meet you. I have learned a lot from all the channels and have found everyone to be helpful. I think its the culture of firewood. Honest work. I will talk 2u later. Joe

Joe, back your trailer under the working shelf of your splitter, as you split the chunks will be pushed into the trailer. Every time you handle a piece of wood you are making less money from it.

I like the way you think Joel! Believe it or not everyone that works for me has only two responsibilities. 1. Take care of the customer an 2. Identify every opportunity for efficiency. Firewood demands this! Thanks for watching. Please subscribe if you haven't done so yet! Joe

Looks like kind of thin metal for a trailer that’s going to be hauling wood unless you’re just going to haul small processed wood and not blocks?

It will only haul splits for me. The trailer surprisingly strong despite being pretty light. Light enough for my ancient quad to pull without issue. I have run my conveyor directly into this trailer and there has yet to be a dent, ding etc in the steel. Thanks for the reply!

Hey Joe. Just came across your channel by happenstance. Great job! I’m in Western PA and was wondering where you bought your trailer. I didn’t see any dealers in this area on their web site. It looks pretty slick and the 4 wheel utility version looks even nicer. Thanks.

NIce video…thanks! I’m new to firewood processing and was wondering if your original split size was what you normally sell but only resplit for particular customers like restaurants? Thank you.

All my wood is split the same size. The smaller the split, the more $$ it is worth

@@ohiowoodburner Thanks. I’m still curious though why you split it to one size and then later resplit it smaller. BTW…love that trailer. I have been checking them out online since I saw it in your video.

What do you do with all the sawdust do you bag it and sell it off..

Hi Terry. I use the sawdust and scraps to build up the base of my yard. I have a big drainage headache here so I wheelbarrow the stuff out to where I'm stacking wood and build up my base. It keeps me out of the mud. Thanks for watching Terry!
