You're right, I have a Chrysler Prowler and I've taken abuse over it's 3.5 V-6 engine for the whole 15 years I've owned it. It's an overhead quad valve, all aluminum engine, with a K&N intake kit and puts out 300hp; (which is darned good for a 3.5 and even an old school 350 Chevy V-8) in a car that only weighs 2,200 lbs. And they claim it's under horsepowered? It's weight to hp ratio is 7.3lbs per hp; supercar territory. It'll smoke most anything out there. No respect or love indeed. Sorry, I know this is an old post, but someone else brought me back here.
Thanks for getting right to the point. I can’t afford this stuff but it’s fun to dream. To me there’s no reason why a 6 cylinder can’t put out a ton of HP and torque.
When I drag raced snowmobile’s torque was the key for 600 feet. I had a stock sled with fine tuning that could get 105 mph in 500 feet. It was a rocket for a stock sled. 115 pounds of torque at 7200 rpms. That’s very low rpms for a snowmobile.
MILEAGE DOESN'T MATTER??? I have a 2018 Dodge Charger GT Plus I bought new from the factory. The GT is AWD and the Mopar police special. (heavy duty everything and Brembo dual pots on the front). The engine and supercharger oil are changed every 3,000 miles. And the belt still looks like new. I wouldn't have anything but the Ripp system on my car. I can't even imagine my car without it. But real hp is never cheap and this is cheap in that realm, dirt cheap. I think I'll keep it. Kudos to Chrysler for putting a hardened lower end in the Pentastar. Plus y'all have to look at weight distribution, especially where weight being centralized versus offset. Those minute variables have consequences that rear their ugly heads at the worst moments. The ProCharger I see is boasting bigger gains but at the same time, when you're in the heat and need ultimate control, one can't be addressing and worrying about that possible slight pull to the left by it being off-centered vs. the symmetrical balanced placement of the Ripp. Cars can be modified to be equal but a neutral straightforward handling car, I'd prefer anytime over ones that are not. In my experience the RIPP kit won't take a 320hp (250hp real world) motor to 400hp. It just won't. A 320hp motor (real world 250hp) with a RIPP supercharger will make around 350hp to the wheels max. Where as a Procharger can take that to 420-430hp from the same 320hp (250hp real world) stock motor. What do I mean by (real world) you say? If a manufacturer lists a motor as 320hp, that motor will at best make 250hp to the wheels, period! Prochargers, depending on the stage, can increase the power by 150-180hp with a bolt on application.
No, Procharger is a supercharger manufacturer/brand. We use Vortech superchargers. The style of supercharger which has been called a "procharger" all these years is a centrifugal supercharger.
Bro you can buy a whole wreaked v8 challenger for as low as 4K and do the swap. It’s a waste to spend 7k plus and still be slower than a factory scatpack look it up. People spend thousands and thousands on these penstar motors and are still slower than a stock v8.
@@jr.rangeeel7624 the higher v8s yeah they smoke RTs all day and put up good fights against scatpacks with way better gas mileage lol its just your preference
@@jr.rangeeel7624 and ppl spend even more money on scats & V8 Durangos just to be slower then 911's, gtr's & m8's. It's not like scats or v8's are some holly grail that supercharged v6's wanna beat. I agree most v6 owners could of just got a v8 if horsepower & ⅛ mile time was their ultimate concern. But with that logic, anyone that ever increased horsepower on their first civic just waisted their time & bread, because they should of bought a Ferrari 😖 Theirs just so many young V6 owners that dont want to commit to the dumb shyt like 10mpg, the monthly note or full coverage ins. But they can buy a v6 durango with the tax return or their weekend overtime & join the community. Now they love their whip but got deeper in the game, so it's an awesome option that ripp offers. They tore the v6 ceiling down. I deff dig it. And most guys these days are looking to balance out their efficiency with weekend drivers. Their not just looking for the next giant goofy thing that some manufacturer put out that goes almost fast in a straight line for 15 seconds.
@@jr.rangeeel7624 This isn't about "what will yield the most possible horsepower". This is about having a reliable monster that can run with v8s , but still drive from NY to Florida at the drop of a hat, get you to work everyday, and get double the fuel mileage while doing it. It's about having something you can take off just as easy as it went on. Secondly - a V8 swap all sounds great when you boil it down to its most simple form. But when you're done buying all the tools and parts for that that "simple engine and trans swap" you can move onto swapping over all the harnesses and computer too. When that's done, you can focus on the front suspension and maybe the brakes to deal with all that extra weight. Next will prob be every single hose and the radiator. After all that's done, you can start to troubleshoot, and pray that the mystery engine and trans you got from that shady auction or wrecking yard doesn't let go, while you begin to question what that noise is, and ask yourself why the place sold it so cheap. Finally, you can maybe address the rear end, and get that axle ratio sorted out for the engine and trans you just dropped in. When you're done investing the weeks or months of time and aggravation on that massive project and you're left hoping you still have a reliable car - you might look back and discover you didn't actually save anything, and probably spent more money, just over a longer period of time. The IDEA that an average person would even CONSIDER swapping out a V6 for a V8 on his late model 30 or $40,000 daily driver to "save money" is very unrealistic, and the reality is you're now left with a "stock" Frankenstein v8 car that will still get beat by anyone who modded their stock V8 set up. These kits exist to eliminate all that and provide you with a short cut to be almost exactly where you'd ultimately wind up. If you'd still WANT MORE - the best thing would be to buy a different car and start from scratch with a bigger foundation to build on. It's a money pit dude, and there is no end to it. Ultimately the more money you spend to go fast, the more it costs you in repairs. That's why the fastest cars that people home build will never be reliable enough to drive everyday. A supercharger kit from RIPP is for the everyday guy that wants his family car to play in both worlds. Pushing limits and reliability by definition, don't coexist.
And plus Ripp bolts on without the worries that he's latter speaking on in his, this video. Can't be trusted, his eyebrows are too thick, he knows and he's plucked them. He's not confident in himself.
Not RIPP. Any customer service that starts email with "Well, I mean..." And basically tells you to go f yourself when their stuff goes bad. Nah I'll just buy a hemi.
Bro it’s a stupid idea to get ripp turbo kit it costs $7k plus installation and you’ll still be slower than a rt look it up. If I was y’all I would just go v8 and be faster than a turbo civic sounding v6.
If you have a few supporting mods like bbk throttle bottle exhaust system tune with 93 you’ll be faster than a scat 430whp 370wtq is faster than a rt seen it with my own 2 eyes was keeping up with a scat until it came to top end
I love to be different and I'm not going to be a Mopar cuz I like V8 Chevy already got me a V8 Chevy I got me a V-6 Charger that I am going to supercharge my stock Dodge Charger GT it keeps up and and I have kept up with r/t plus they are not that fast I'm all about joining my ride no matter what it is
Don’t go with rip superchargers. Their customer service sucks. I had a problem with one of mine and they didn’t even want to help me with the tuning and I went with hamburger, supercharger, hands-down way better.
It reminds me of the days of the turbo charged v6 Buick Grand National. I’ve owned my share or V8s and V6s and the V6 doesn’t get enough love.

If you are not a licensed shop then it voids the warrant on the supercharger.
Not the Ripp kit - I asked them, they said as long as its a failure due to function and not missinstalled they have a warranty.
Its cheaper doing a scatpack engine swap
Sad thing is… your always gonna want a HEMI!!
Damn so expensive
With all that money, why not buy a bigger engine? Honest question
Go twin turbo, you lose power using the cars power while turbos use outside air.
do you know any twin turbo for the charger v6?
@@mattbpp garrett
As far as I know, can't turbo my car. I have a 21 GT challenger. But if that is an option, I'd be interested
@@rachelhubbard6199 i’ve been looking around can’t find one but same i’d like to find some
@@mattbpp there’s a RUclipsr that has done it & I think I seen him on TikTok
Rip uses pro charger ripp is just a kit in all
No, Procharger is a supercharger manufacturer/brand. We use Vortech superchargers. The style of supercharger which has been called a "procharger" all these years is a centrifugal supercharger.
RIPP uses a Vortech V3 Si Trim, its an 800hp supercharger
If I have to spend that much I just buy the scat pack motor and tranny with everything complete for like 7 or 10k and install it myself
But with that logic, anyone that ever increased horsepower on their first civic just waisted their time & bread, because they should of bought a Ferrari 😖
Theirs just so many young V6 owners that dont want to commit to the dumb shyt like 10mpg, the monthly note or full coverage ins.
@@jr.rangeeel7624 My Ripped V6 was smashing R/Ts. The factory hp originally is only like 70 more in an R/T......
Yea boy - the info in this video is floppy
Anyone with a mini mustache and extra thick brows is suspicious
Not RIPP.
Any customer service that starts email with "Well, I mean..." And basically tells you to go f yourself when their stuff goes bad. Nah I'll just buy a hemi.
Not RIPP. Pro Charge ftw
They are both too much money
REALLY!!! this is stupid Hemi, LS and ford kits all cost the same
Dont waste money on that v6. Put a v8 in thats what your going for anyways.😂
Bro it’s a stupid idea to get ripp turbo kit it costs $7k plus installation and you’ll still be slower than a rt look it up. If I was y’all I would just go v8 and be faster than a turbo civic sounding v6.
If you have a few supporting mods like bbk throttle bottle exhaust system tune with 93 you’ll be faster than a scat 430whp 370wtq is faster than a rt seen it with my own 2 eyes was keeping up with a scat until it came to top end
you crazy as hell if you think a SC v6 is slower than an RT lol
There's plenty of vids of mod super charged v6s walking RTs
I love to be different and I'm not going to be a Mopar cuz I like V8 Chevy already got me a V8 Chevy I got me a V-6 Charger that I am going to supercharge my stock Dodge Charger GT it keeps up and and I have kept up with r/t plus they are not that fast I'm all about joining my ride no matter what it is
Sprintex> just because it’s a twin screw.
The V6 cars are overpriced
lmao for 7grand i can buy a hemi and get it installed with mods smh
Don’t go with rip superchargers. Their customer service sucks. I had a problem with one of mine and they didn’t even want to help me with the tuning and I went with hamburger, supercharger, hands-down way better.
Very important to happen to actually save gas and go faster. It defies racing logic true but in a positive way.
