This is how you reset all modern drive buy wire system. Well some require it to be done 3 times other require it to be done with a quick release of the pedal but it’s all pretty much the same idea to get the ecm and pcm to learn the pedal position Accross the hole travel of the pedal path. Thanks for sharing and good tip!

It’s called the placebo affect. This will do absolutely nothing to pedal lag.

Would it work on a 2006 TJ that doesn’t have push button start and is a 6 speed manual?

I'm really not sure. Sorry. You can try it and see if it makes a difference. It doesn't need the push button start to do it.

Would it be safe to assume it's the same for the Gladiator?

Oh for sure. It will really only help if the throttle position sensor needs to be recalibrated, but it makes a huge difference if that needs to be done.

This is for JK as well? Mines a key start though

Yep.. Exactly. Do the process in the 2nd position of the key (the on position). Just before the start/ignition.

4cyl, I have no idea why they push these small 4 bangers in these vehicles.

It's actually pretty strong. I'd still rather have the Penestar V6 though.

@@The.Garage.Studio yeah, my concern is smaller motors with turbos to replace a 6 cyl generally run a bit more hot, with higher RPMs, to achieve the same power level, and the longevity working much harder. Have we seen many 2.0 Wranglers surpass the 100K miles point yet ? I notice the 2.0 was the “default” motor in the JL Rubicon and Sahara models here (Long Island), not the 3.6.

@@TheSchmed I really starting to enjoy the 4C turbo. The only thing I don't like about it is the sound. It's super peppy though. The nice thing about it is all the torque down low. I do actually think i'd get better gas mileage on the 6 cylinder though. I'm doing a towing test between the 4C and 6C.. that will be a very interesting test.
