One important thing about the cloning machine is that you can clone any potion or serum (including aspiration awards). So you just store potions in your home and clone them as you need them. It's probably the most useful (and exploitive) device in the Science career.
With the Acting skill, there is a reward at level 4 where you can get the Trouper's Mirror which increases your acting skill when used to practice acting. They're also at the lot for the gigs so just being in the career boosts acting too.
If you use the conservation policies on generations gameplay, the policies will affect all generations that live in that same world. Some of the policies seemed to affect my generations in other worlds. It took me 5 generations of power outages to realize I needed to get another sim in the family to become conservationist. Once they got high enough they repealed the policy.
I love the Scientist career for all its amazing game-breaking features and objects it provides. Only, when I bought the inventor machine for at home (apparently that's possible) my sim was no longer being able to use it after I've changed her career; It's for scientists only.
Loved this. I am constantly forgetting all the features available... the sims 4 really needs a gameplay and features manual 😅 Thanks again for reminding me how many things I haven't explored yet in my fav game ❤
Thanks so much for the kind comment Sam, and I hope everything is going well for you :). (and also, I totally agree the game has so many cool little details to it).
Agreed! I used to love getting physical copies of games because of the included booklets/guides. Now that you have to download games it’s just not the same. There are many online guides but none of them covering everything I need. Some are inaccurate. That’s why I decided to make my own booklet. I’m a visual learner so everything is colour coded and illustrated. Well... It’s a work in progress (and considering the updates and packs being added the end is nowhere in sight). I have a folder of handwritten and handdrawn notes on my iPad that I plan to transfer to physical notebook. This project on its own made me try so many aspects of gameplay I wouldn’t have tried or wouldn’t have known of otherwise. :) It also made me keep a running list of all bugs and a list of challenges I want to try.
2:45 Please note: The change is not permanent. I used it on Alex Moyer (she was in the career in my playthrough), and it gave her a rich ebony skin tone. But the next time I saw her, she was back to her Pillsbury Dough Boy skin.
I have never been able to complete any career fully. I can not access game play options for my sims life span as the game play options are always greyed out on my console. Game play using a controller is slower despite the major update to fix glitches. Worked for 2 days wonderfully and then new glitches and more began happening. Another update came last week to console. Made even more new glitches. Slower game play every time sims cook stove or BBQ a fire is started. Then nothing gets done. You have shown me game play Achievements I never knew existed. My sims normal life span isn't long enough. Unless I make them a vampire. Now I wish to play Sims, no one dies( hopefully) before being able to complete a career. Spending 500+ dollars for console version is quite disappointing. Not having full access to full game play options. Reported on this and nothing ever fixes the issues. Wish me luck I'll need it.
You don’t actually need to be a scientist to get the FreezeRay. It’s just that it won’t do anything apart from freezing until you reach a certain level as a scientist. But if all you wanna do is freeze Sims, you can get the Ray no matter your job.
The most overpowered career is the mixologist. At level 8 (and only level 8) there is a chance you can receive the recipe for a drink that boosts your skill gain by 300%. This stacks with every other skill gain trait, allowing you to max out every skill in 1 second.
I'm more of a control player, so I don't leave a baby's gender up to chance. For those that do, I'm sure the "Determine Baby's Gender" could be fun and/or useful. I use a hidden game mechanic that lets you manipulate the gender yourself. If, per each trimester, the pregnant Sim eats 3 strawberries and listens to at least 1 hour of Pop music, the baby will be a girl. If, per each trimester, the pregnant Sim eats 3 carrots and listens to at least 1 hour of Alternative music, the baby will be a boy.
@@LLLadySSS - I'm guessing you didn't know about the strawberries and carrots trick? It's been in the game since at least the patch from May 4th, 2015 but but the game never tells you about it. I've been using it for years after I found it online.

Funny story so I was going through the science career and was using the satellite to try and get abducted, and randomly I ton of random people showed up at my home. Since they looked like people I was so confused and just drowned them all, more came and I drowned them to. Realized they were aliens when I saw the tombstone lol
I'm sorry but Mua Pel'am can be easily cleaned up in one day, yes one day. Just form a group of the largest amount and as a group activity do the clean up and they all pick up trash and stuff and its done. May take two depending on the amount of sims, but serious the first time I played Island Living it was cleaned in one day.
i think thats part of wants and fears gameplay option which is in base game, it should have given your sim a matching fear trait so get rid of that as well through remove trait cheat
