Gloomy sims also don't get a tense moodlet when they're around ghosts. Instead, they get an inspired moodlet from it. Probably a good trait to give your sim if you plan on having them live in a house with the spooky lot trait.
I enjoy giving my Sims the Evil and Mean traits because they make the game so entertaining and chaotic. Moreover, Sims who are active, geek, erratic, and neat are fun as well.
I'm playing 100 BC, my firstborn is evil, my secondborn is mean and hates children, my thirdborn is a slob and my fourth Sim is a fussy toddler. Yeah, chaos runs in these kinda challenge
Bro sims can give a brother gift and another sim will always like it. For example, I gave 10 different sims regular poop with different friendships. Everyone was delighted!
It would so soo dope if you wrote a challenge using your expansive sims 4 knowledge. It would be full of secret knowledge and players could learn so much about the game! I wrote a challenge and I love playing it, but I don’t know much about all the hidden in game features (except from your videos). It’s so fun so I’d encourage you to consider it 😊😊
A fun and difficult challenge would be to have a sim have all the possible traits. Now you can change traits, you could modify their behaviour until the game suggests you want to change your trait. You have to get all the adult traits possible before your sim dies of old age.
i once had a sim get the hypercharged moodlet and the glowing eyes from lightning strikes, and i had no idea it was trait related! it was quite a fun surprise
I hated everything about slob sims, until you told me they pee in the shower. That is so darn convenient. Combined with steel bladder reward trait, they'll never have to use the bathroom 😂
I also noticed, that if you have a lazy sim in a household, where you are using the laundry day featueres, they will always leave a pile of clothes on the ground when changing outfits, instead of going into the hamper automatically, meaning you have to pick them up manually. However that didnt really bothered me, since if i cleaned them up with my child/teenage sims it would help them gain responsibility ^-^
I love my Posadist sim with erratic and paranoid traits (paranoid is from the Strangerville pack) It's no doubt my favourite sim, it has the best autonomous reactions
I'd love to know which interactions and whatnot are autonomous and which are exclusively done through player commad! Great video! Looking forward to part 2 :)
I swear I always learn something new from your videos! Also notes for near sims, they always gain fun while cleaning. And for active sims, if you have the discover university pack, playing with the soccer ball doesn’t count as being active. I’m not sure about the football from high school years though
i think they overcompensated for that in hsy because now EVERY sim gets a Tense +1 (lowering) moodlet saying "not enough exercise" when they play with the rugby ball with someone else lol. didnt know the discover uni football doesnt count as exercise, it gives hella slimming and toning tho
Number 29 - One of the first ever mods I downloaded is related to this it was "No Autonomous Shower in Rain" by Bienchan because I was using a lot of Erratic Sims at the time was getting annoyed at that
This really explained a thing to me. I recently played a family that often get visited by a sim with the kleptomaniac trait. And she act as if she did try to steal an object and then gets embarrassed. Now I know why.
I have a kleptomaniac Senior Detective sim and yes, she did try to steal multiple things right under her bosse's nose. They are now happily married with a child lmao
For those who have Growing Together, the three extra traits, self discovery traits, can be added using the traits.equip_trait cheat. And can even remove unwanted ones with the traits.remove_trait cheat. And for those on consoles, traits cheats do not break achievements.
A gameplay idea inspired by this video: create two sims, and give the first one traits like hates children, evil, lazy, slob, etc. Then give the second Sim traits like family oriented, good, active, neat, etc. As long as the traits are opposites this works. For extra spice make one of them a werewolf and the other one a vampire. You can make them siblings, friends, lovers, roommates... Or enable autonomous repairs and bill paying and leave the game unpaused with the sims separated in two identical houses on the same lot and then make them swap houses (Which I'm gonna do next! )
Perfectionist Sims also will autonomously scrap their paintings if they are not "up to standard" meaning if you have quests to "finish x paintings" it can take way longer because they will stop, get rid of their painting and start again.
Self-assured sims are more likely to come home from work feeling confident... I think Clumsy sims are more likely to break objects, unless they have high handiness skill. They get a playful "Silly Me" moodlet in some?? circumstances, have a unique playing darts animation and may 'break dishes' while washing them.
Cheerful Sims also affect other Sims if they're not Cheerful themselves by giving them a "Cheered to Death" tense moodlet somewhat randomly when interacting with other Sims. Lazy Sims will also get a tense moodlet from cleaning, repairing or upgrading stuff. Mean Sims seem to autonomously perform mean interactions on Giant Plush type toys, I'm guessing other toys like dollhouses can also be the target of these autonomous interactions but I haven't really tested that. I wouldn't be surprised if Sims with the "Hates Children" trait also perform these interactions.
I was just thinking about this! was playing with a few traits i dont usually choose and noticed the cleaning frenzy option and was thinking about making a new save to play though each trait"
For convenience, I always make one of a couple neat. They're more likely to autonomously clean stuff, and their moodlets will let you know if something is dirty (ie coffeepot, which I never notice).
Not sure if I've ever commented something like this on your videos, and if I have I severely apologize I've spent... a large part of my life playing the sims 4. It's one of my favorite games. I love these videos, learning more about the game. You do an amazing job with the editing, and you speak clearly enough that it's easy to put these on the background while I'm doing things. I'm sorry I didn't subscribe sooner.
Awe shucks Cinnamon Roll this was such a lovely comment to read! You subscribe whenever you want to and there is never any pressure! It just makes me really happy that you're enjoying the content!
Hey Man, thank you :D. Haha I got a weird kick out of including your RUclips name like it was a part of a regular sentence. Thank you for the lovely comment!
It describes the intensity of emotion (+3 is more intense than +1) . This is used when calculating the Sim's overall mood - For example , a +2 happy moodlet will override a +1 tense moodlet because 2>1 and the Sim will register as being happy instead of tense.
I find it annoying that sims can only have up to 3 traits without mods, and that you can’t add extra trait slots without mods, and that you also can’t have a custom number of traits per sim, and also not able to have sims have seperate amounts of traits.
Gloomy sims also don't get a tense moodlet when they're around ghosts. Instead, they get an inspired moodlet from it. Probably a good trait to give your sim if you plan on having them live in a house with the spooky lot trait.
I heard gloomy sims also gain skills faster while sad.
@@multiversalguy by default sims gain creative skills faster while sad, tho not as fast as when inspired

Gloomy Sims will also get inspired in the presence of ghosts. I know that from working as a doctor since hospitals never seem to hire new staff...LOL!
Thank you so much for sharing that awesome bit of extra info Sabrina :) Much appreciated always!
that's kinda depressing tbh 💀💀

This might actually make me try some more traits now that I know some of what it actually does.
Also whenever a genius sim gives a compliment to someone, the sim that receives the compliment will get a special moodlit
