Good review. The fold in for when riding off road is nice. Riders report the Double Takes are expensive, vibrate on even multi cylinder bikes and are easily stolen due to the big wing nut in the mirror's mounting arm.
Man, nice are the double take mirrors blurry at high speeds, the stock mirror's on my new KLR are blurry anything above 50 mph, I just put on some mirror isolators I got from Studebaker's, haven't had a chance to ride the bike yet, I'll see how they work !
honestly I bet that plastic being weak is better than it being metal and breaking the mount when you hit it in a fall. Going to get a set for my dualsport, thanks for the video.
@@beerxbike5095 no, its a custom design from a USA fella. I've done some very minor mods and tested it the past month till I've got it how I want it. Are you Aus based?
Yeah I'll get to it eventually. Short version, going well for how cheap they are. Can get a little bit loose and move but with a tighten they are sweet
These will be ideal for parking my bike through narrow gate at home.
I hope they hold up. That is a great price.

Good point, hadn't considered that

No worries. They've been good, held up in a ton of drops
I installed the Doubletake Mirrors on my KLR... yes, they are pricy but I think they will pay for themself in time.
I'll most likely end up getting a set (or some Touratechs, they look pretty ace but weren't in stock) and keep these to sell with the bike one day.
@@onthebackwheel Sell... I plan on putting at least 100k before I even think of doing that... lol
@@RonConsumer hell yeah! I'm not selling her anytime soon that's for sure
Man, I'm not selling my new KLR, it's here to stay !
For $20 got the low cost mirrors, stuck them on my '17 KLR, completely happy. Using the money I saved to buy more grog. Shout you schooner sometime.
More hardcore offroad videos please! Your content is amazing
They are pretty good
Happy for the price

Most of the time you get what you payed for. I think you’ll be buying some quality mirrors in the near future 😂
That's probably what I'll do. I can keep these as spares and they were only $10 😁
