@RichardBejtlich I appreciate it! The outpost community is stronger the more info that's out there. As it grows and more people push the limits of this mechanic, the better chance we have at Bethesda adding some official features for outposts!
@JimLayneFH You got it! Ive got more in the pipeline. Im not stopping until I'm funneling the max of 24 outposts worth of resources to my main planet, or I break the game trying. Either way I'm documenting it lmao. I appreciate the support!
@thorgen_ironside5279 I really appreciate it! I've got some big plans for the channel coming up. Some really cool series's within starfield, a series in fallout4, and more guides. First episode comes out this weekend.
I'm not putting much focus into Outposts until NG+1. I am however looking at places up high where you have a 360 view of the valley around it. So far Alpha Andraste 3 is one. On a clear day I can see it from about 1000M away. I found another on Akila but the climbing sucks in this game. Going to try and save scum my way up. Failing that, rank 1 boost now that I think of it.
When sending through multiple resources through a single cargo link, how do you resolve bottlenecking of some resources by the others which are faster in generating?
@imaera1 it's essential to use the exact amount and style of extractor per resource. Thats really the only way to combat this. It's not a sure fire 100% solve all method, but in my 40 hours of running this network and having multiple links that are pushing 5+ resources, it's what works best for me. If I don't get a specific resource during a load, it's almost a gaurentee it shows up in the next load.
@thejimmichanga2913 OK, thanks. That makes sense. I suppose we just have to make the receiving containers as deep as possible to allow for just that. I'm going to try this.
@imaera1 as you can see at my main HUB planet, I take storage very serious lmao. The outpost is essentially made up of nothing but cargo links and storage containers occupying every Sq inch. Also, on the outgoing planet, make sure your extractors are connected to a storage bin chain first and not directly to the outgoing box. Extractor into storage, then connect the last bin of the storage chain to the outgoing box. It also helps to have every resource going into its own storage bin network rather than combining for example multiple different solid resources into the same storage bin chain. On the receiving planet it doesnt matter
This is what I'm thinking for a Hub system and 2 outer system to feed into it The Schrodinger System Schrodinger III-a as the HUB Schrodinger II Aldumite, Chlorine, Chlorosilanes, Lead, Plutonium, Titanium, Tungsten, Uranium Schrodinger III Argon, Chlorine, Cobalt, Iron, Nickel, Water Schrodinger III-a Aluminium, Beryllium, Helium-3, Neodymium Schrodinger IV Aluminium, Benzene, Chlorine, Chlorosilanes, Copper, Fluorine, Neodymium, Water Schrodinger V Iridium, Nickel, Uranium, Vanadium, Water Schrodinger VI-a Lead, Silver, Water Schrodinger VI-c Alkanes, Argon, Carboxylic Acids, Iron, Lead, Neon, Tantalum, Water Schrodinger VIII-b Copper, Tetrafluorides, Water Schrodinger VIII-e Chlorine, Dysprosium, Iron, Lead, Lithium, Water Not found in Schrodinger Gold, Platinum, Caesium, Mercury, Palladium, Antimony, Ytterbium , Europium, Ionic Liquids, Xenon For those Xi Ophiuchi Xi Ophiuchi III Antimony, Ytterbium Xi Ophiuchi V Platinum Xi Ophiuchi VII-a Mercury Xi Ophiuchi IX Helium-3 Kumasi Kumasi II Palladium Kumasi V-a Gold Kumasi VI Caesium Kumasi VII-a Europium, Helium-3 Kumasi VII-b Ionic Liquids Kumasi IX-a Xenon
@grantbartholomew2057 seems solid! All 3 systems are systems I deemed top 5, or honorable mentions, material for building networks in. You'll be sitting pretty with that network! I'm currently in the same boat where if I want to run tier 3 extractors, I'm going to have set up inside of a 3rd star system. But between Charybdis and Feynman, I've got access to almost everything important outside of the very rare resources.
@@THEJimmiChanga i haven't played the game as of yet. I just have a list of the mods i want and a plan to start mining straight away. Saving up for a gaming PC, just for Starfield. The longevity from this game is going to be outstanding, especially if you role play the characters and make decisions on what the character would do and not for the best outcome.
Great video - thanks for sharing on Reddit.
