- There is a lot of hype going on regarding eggs, particularly about the cholesterol that's in the yolk. To this date there is no consistent data that shows any relationship between dietary cholesterol and blood cholesterol.
HERE'S WHY YOUR BODY MUST HAVE CHOLESTEROL...
Cholesterol plays a role in forming and maintaining cell membranes and structures.
Cholesterol can insert between fat molecules making up the cell, making the membrane more fluid. Cells also need cholesterol to help them adjust to changes in temperature.
Cholesterol is essential for making a number of critical hormones, including the stress hormone cortisol. Cholesterol is also used to make the sex hormones testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen.
The liver also uses cholesterol to make bile, a fluid that plays a vital role in the processing and digestion of fats.
Cholesterol is used by nerve cells for insulation.
Your body also needs cholesterol to make vitamin D.
In the presence of sunlight, cholesterol is converted into vitamin D. I hope you enjoy this video. Dr. Mandell

No point in eating the egg without the yolk that is the best part of it. :-)
True, I was in the hospital because of my heart and they gave me scrambled egg whites with no salt. That was so nasty.
I was born and raised in Europe after ww2. There was no food and we lived on eggs..Eggs have been my go to all my life. My dear husband of 59 years knew this..if eggs weren't in the fridge, he would say nothing, go out, get a dozen so I would never be without eggs. He's gone now, I miss my guy but eggs are my go to. Never believed all the taboo on eggs.
Thanks for sharing your story
🌹
@starstuff5958,
Your late husband seemed to have been a wonderful man; thoughtful and loving; may his soul rest in peace. Take care of yourself, and God bless🙏🌹
💕💕🪻💐 😌 Peace to you ✝️
Great info. I love eggs 🥚 😋 🐔 just have to know what you're eating! ❤
The egg is simply put nature's BEST multivitamin.
rubbish. chicken period.
its does not have phytonutrients
Somewhere, there's a university missing a Professor. Love this man for his compassion and sharing. The greatest lesson of all.
University's don't have professors, they have political activists.
I can agree, thanks
Eggs don’t raise cholesterol folks eat the yolks folks
I eat farm fresh eggs from my neighbors every day. I feel great and I always eat the yolk! Good to know about what the chickens are eating. Im going to get them some flax seed!
Yes, you can definitely taste the difference in them and if you’re lucky you might get two yolks in one.
I started eating 4 eggs a day, from backyard hens, and I've no need to use my reading glasses anymore - they were'nt strong to begin with, but still.
I grew up eating eggs (whole eggs) every day and anytime of the day, especially for breakfast. My mom never bought eggs; we had lots of chicken and ducks, and although I love duck meat, I never liked their eggs!
After I went to live on my own, it was only then that I started to buy eggs, but whenever I visited my parents, I'd get at least a dozen to take home.
I'm now 69 years old, and I'm still eating whole eggs; I've never thrown out the yolks, and my cholesterol is good.
I've never eaten a duck egg but I always wonder if I should buy it but never did 😂
@martiniloganmartinilogan83
My mom gave away the duck eggs to our neighbours; we never liked it because, for us, they tasted sort of rubbery!
@@skinnydee1886 thanks explaining to me , give me all reason not to it 🙂 because I always wonder what it tastes like haha 😆
The egg is a magnificent thing! God's natural multivitamin.
The question is whether the demonization of eggs with cholesterol was because of ignorance at the time, or was it for profit for certain cleared medications, or was it both and it's being pushed still? Just like Salt.
Thank you Doc for being honest. Don't let them buy you off.
Thank you doctor. Most people mistakenly believe eggs are bad for you because of cholesterol. I believe they are fine. I eat around 10 pasture raised eggs per week.
Me too.
I eat 6 per day, every day. Love them!
Eggs are a great source of nutrients but please consume in moderation. On the erroneous advice that they don't effect your cholesterol, I began eating 2 eggs per day and my cholesterol went to borderline high. I cut back to just on weekends and replaced with oatmeal on other days and dropped my cholesterol by a whole point in a few weeks. I certainly wouldn't recommend eating lots of them.
@@djr3485 jus as the doc said it could have been something else causing your cholesterol to raise
God bless Dr. Mandell. You are a gift that keeps on giving.
I add some flax seed and soaked chia seeds to my chickens feed. They love it and improves egg quality and nutrition
My husband never ate eggs. He has ankylosing spondylitis. After forcing him to eat egg a year ago. He now cannot go a day without eggs. His inflamation has decreased, he has more energy and his overall welness has sky rocketted.
Man this guy changed my way of eating and living, thank you so much doc!
I eat eggs for the protein content as I’m in my 70’s. I have worried about the impact on my cholesterol. Thank you for sharing this information that eggs are good for maintaining good health.
Always eaten alot of eggs, especially when I was in the gym 4 days a week. Have always FELT better when I did.
Broke records powerlifting at 61 with a world record. Doubled the previous record. Lifted up to the age of 68, when family matters took me out of the gym. 76 now and STILL wanna go back, can't stand the joint pain without it.
1 T EVO daily. It will take at least a month before you start seeing results. Works for a lot of people...I hope it works for you. 🙏
Thank you doctor.
Always entertained by your content, it's awesome!
Thanks Doc! Lots of valuable information here. 👍
I love eggs and I never believed the hate toward them
Doc, every word you say is refreshing. Before the medical community conned us into eggs being bad, people were so much healthier then. Let's get back to eating as we should.
My 4 year old asks for a 'dippy' egg every morning. He loves a soft boiled egg sprinkled with turmeric and black pepper and a side of sourdough toast for dipping.
Thank you for the helpful information, Dr. Mandell. Eggs are great!👍😊
I have 2 eggs every day, using my little egg cooker, and always have a jar of homemade pickled eggs. They are the best snack . Thanks ❤

I raise ducks and eat 2-3 of their eggs every day - I feed them flaxseed, hempseed, nutritional yeast, black soldier fly larvae and other good stuff in the homemade food I give them. I don’t think most people understand the importance of eggs and the good cholesterol it has in them among its protein content.
I was brought up that eggs are little packets of energy. My daughter now tells her child the same 😁 I eat 2 hardboiled daily of a morning and they keep me going until around 3pm.

True. Most people don’t understand this and most doctors either don’t communicate this or don’t understand it.
Ty so much will share.
Thank you very much for the clarification, Dr. Mandell. Does it matter if it is organic, farm raised or just regular white eggs 🥚?
Organic pasture raised eggs are healthier for you

There are so many schools of thought on eggs. (Mostly scary) I will go with Dr. Mandell. Thanks Doc! I appreciate all that you do.
I watched a documentary on Netflix I think “what the health” and they said an egg a day is like smoking a cigarette. And it scared the crap out of me. But after watching this, I’m glad I didn’t let it stop me from eating eggs
❤like eggs😇thanks for sharing this great video to us😇God bless You😇❤😇
Thanks sir
Thank you again, Dr. for the eggs. It's great to know.
Pasture raised are the best
My ancestors were farmers in Central Wisconsin. They ate eggs every day. They cooked in lard, which also was considered taboo. Now they know cooking in lard is great. They all lived into their 90s.
Watch it.
Thanks
Please talk about simvastatin effect on arterial walls

Love eggs 👌
I love the yolk/whites both. Mmm good
Bravo ! On telling the truth about eggs!😊
Well, from experience it depends on you. I have had borderline cholesterol for while. Last year, decided to increase egg consumption. Went about 20 organic eggs a week. Fast forward a year on, blood test showed increase to 7.1 total cholesterol. So I see a correlation, probably not causation but definitely some linkage.I am a frequent gym goer, eat well, do ITF
Doc your fekin BRILLANT
Wow I had never knew so many important information about egg. Thanks a lot Dr for sharing video.
