Hi! Was so glad to find your videotutorial, but unfortunately it doesn't work. I work on a mac, followed exactly your steps, but when I do command v to replace, I don't get the glyps but just a ?
Thank you for the helpful video! Whenever I try to copy and paste into canva I just get a question mark rather than a letter. Do you know any ideas what this could be?
Hi there! This happens to me sometimes as well, and I think it could be that the glyphs aren’t compatible with ttf or otf, or there is some sort of other software incompatibility. I’m not 100% sure, but that’s my best guess. I wish I could help you more! Please give me an update if you happen to figure it out!
I should also add that this problem only seems to happen with certain fonts, which is why I suspect it’s a problem inherent in the way the font and glyphs were created
Hi there! is there no way to just save the glyphs in Canva with the font? Seems like there has to be an easier way to do this beside always having to copy and paste? Thank you!!
Hi! Sadly, I do not believe there is a way to import glyphs from one font as a whole into Canva unless you import each glyph into photoshop and then export it as an image, then upload to your shop. If you find a way, you’ll have to let me know!
I don't seem to be able to copy and paste the glyphs from font book into Canva. The file is an .otf file but my Mac won't copy and paste it. Any ideas?
Hi Kelli, Ugh… some fonts just don’t translate. I wish I knew why because it’s so frustrating when they don’t work! Unfortunately, my tech knowledge doesn’t run that deep. 😢
Some glyphs are included as a separate download and are “unusual” file extensions. Unfortunately, if that’s the case, I do not have enough experience at this point to explain how to use files extensions like .woff.
@@alisonglace6100 - I suspect that sometimes the creators of fonts only offer glyphs for a limited time. That aside, what device are you using? The process of different on an iPad instead of a laptop or computer.
You should have put two important pieces of info in this video: 1) you're on a Mac, and Font Book is a Mac thing. Users not on a Mac will not find these instructions helpful. 2) You must have a Team license. I watched your whole video and spent an hour of valuable time trying to implement it, then realized that the reason I don't have that "upload a font" button is because I don't have a Team license. Also, your incorrect use of the word "glyph" really led me down the garden path. I was under the impression I would be able to import a font that has actual glyphs in it (ie greek letters, hieroglyphics, ancient symbols, etc) but you're using the word glyph to mean a variant on an alphabet letter inside a font.
lot of thanks, i watched lot of videos and there was different explanation which was not suitable for my mac. Happy to find u❤
Yay! Glad it worked for you! 😀

Thank you so much! Great video. I downloaded the font. However, there are no glyphs. Any suggestions?
Hi! Unfortunately not every font has glyphs. Did the font you downloaded specifically mention having glyphs on the download page?

@@MelanieBerry79 Even when I download Ardilla like you did in the video, it doesn't have glyphs like yours does

Font book is a Mac application. There isn't one in Windows.
Im on Windows and its not letting me copy and paste them..
Hi Leané, I’m so sorry, but I only have Mac products to work with… I wish I knew more about PC so I could help you out!
